You can’t make it up, a consist of Alstom R160A-1 cars is seen pulling out of the Marcy Avenue Station in (J) service, having just started it’s trip at the aforementioned stop and now heading back into Manhattan once again, with Essex Street being it’s first stop. Down below, 2019 New Flyer XD40 #7587 runs below the departing westbound train, having finished it’s shuttle run from Broadway Junction, and concluding it here at Marcy Avenue as well, allowing passengers to transfer for subway service directly upstairs. Personally, I’d feel bad for anyone who missed that train, cuz that 20 minute gap goes bonkers… . Weekend track maintenance along the BMT Jamaica Line saw (J) service being split into two sections: The first being between Jamaica Center & Broadway Junction, and the second being between Marcy Avenue & Broad Street, with (M) service being dumped out the window and suspended entirely.
