By selling a few trinkets and with the help of some of my friends and family, I was able to gather a small amount and donated it to the following fundraisers:

£7 to @mohamedmoner1994's fundraiser for his family, which include his two sons and wife Rewaa, who is suffering from thyroid cancer and has not been able to get treatment.

The exchange rate here in the PH for all these currencies are so high, so please help add to the small amount I could give so that these families would have a steadier stream of donations going into their campaign. All three of these fundraisers get only about 3 donations per day (Madleen's have also stalled). Please help me give them a little push.

If they aren't being bombed and burnt, they are being starved, made to endure unlivable conditions, deprived of life-saving treatment. Please, please, please donate what you can to these two fundraisers.

Here's an update from Layla's instagram 1 day ago about Mohamed @mohamedmoner1994 and their family. She has another post some 12 hours ago which I will also be posting here later. It looks like the Moner family has left Rafah and went to Al-Mawassi, in Khan Younis, a day ago and has not heard from him since. Mohamed and Yousef has also not responded or seen my latest message on insta. Please, please pray that they are ok, that they just do not have good internet connection at the moment, and that we all hear from them again soon. Please keep sharing their gofundme links and donate whatever you can spare, as donations have been coming in really slow for both fundraisers:

Updates on the Munir family at last!

Finally, Layla has gotten in touch with them and confirmed that they are alive and are trying to get settled in Al Mawassi. Yousef also responded to my message just now confirming that they are in Khan Younis, and that the situation there is very hard as it is almost a desert and there is no water or food. When I told Yousef that I was glad that I finally got to hear from him after so long, he shared that he has to walk 2 hours(!!) to get internet.

As Layla said in her story, they now need to raise money so that they can get the Munir family esim-compatible phones so that they will be able to connect with each other better and give updates about their situation. The amount they are aiming for is $1,200.

Here is the latest update from Layla's instagram about the Munir family.

The young girl in the video is @mohamedmoner1994 and @yousefmoner's sister Sahar. You can also see the tent where Yousef is forced to stay in away from the rest of his family because there is no more room for him. When he was able to message me a couple of days ago, Yousef shared that he can't sleep because there are so many insects and at night it's very cold. I asked him if it's possible to buy a bigger tent for him and he told me that it is too expensive 😢

Donations are still coming in very slow. Mohamed is getting only about 3 donations per day and very small amounts at that, while Yousef gets only about 1 donation per day.

Please keep donating to Yousef and Mohamed's gofundmes. Please keep Mohamed's wife Rawa in your thoughts as well, as she is suffering from cancer and needs urgent treatment. Pray that God will give her and the rest of the Munir family the strength to get through this.

Updates from Layla's instagram and @mohamedmoner1994's gofundme page.

The Munir family has been displaced to Al Mawassi, Khan Younis. Layla reports that the area is practically uninhabitable. The Munir family is relying on food aids and contaminated water in order to get by.

Internet connection is hard, which is why Layla barely gets any updates from them and both Mohamed and Yousef (@yousefmoner) only responds to my messages at seldom intervals. Yousef reports he has to walk for almost 2 hours just to get connection. They are trying to find a way to buy eSims-capable phones so that they can post updates about their situation more easily.

What's really worrying and heartbreaking is Mohamed's wife, Rawa, who is suffering from thyroid cancer, and because of their displacement has now been unable to get even what little treatment she was getting before in Rafah. Layla reports that she has been losing consciousness because of this.

Please keep reblogging and sharing the Munir family's links. Donations are still coming in very slowly. If you are able to donate even just a couple of pounds, please consider doing so, as it will accumulate and go a long way especially if a lot of people do it.
