I’ve spent the last few months setting up and formatting the raw dialogue files into an easy to read setup, with sections divided by main story/sidequestline, geographical area, and character.

So...yeah, enjoy! Feel free to use the stuff on there for whatever fan project/fic/etc that you want (as long as you don’t take credit for the site itself or use it for ai stuff). In fact that part’s encouraged, since that kind of stuff is what made me wanna do this in the first place.

(Also if you see any kinds of errors - typos, broken links, information that I somehow got wrong, stuff from the ‘can’t figure out if/where it goes’ page that you know about - please let me know! Did my best to check on that stuff but also there’s just so much aha)

(also also if there’s any other sites etc with bug fables fan communities and you wanna drop the link (with credit) I also encourage that because. I am not active on anywhere else and they deserve to see it too)

miiight have found means with which to fuck with big fables files.... first result of which is that I'm working to make a silly reference thing I've been thinking about for ages and didn't have the editing skills to do otherwise. Second thing is gonna be figuring if/how I can downgrade my game version and if yes then it's gonna be fucking over for everyone with transcript project 2: oh fuck why do I do this to myself.

third thing is attempting silly edits/"mods" like changing the pop cans designs and making Bug Fables But Rated M For Vi Saying Fuck A Lot.

As usual let me know if something's acting funky. Also, I've updated the main page and created all the demo pages with a sidebar that has links to the main division pages of both the demo and the main game. I think that's going to be the best way to make things as simple as possible to navigate, but I'm probably gonna take a little break before I update all those other pages (and do gameplay research/page edits of things I learned from doing the demo), so if you have thoughts on something else that might be better, also let me know about that!

biggest letdown of doing the demo transcript was finding a section of dialogue with Neo in it (basically 'parent runs into someone they know in the grocery store' with Leif and Vi being the kids who just want to go home) and then finding out it's not in the game

second was the underground tavern entrance initial password dialogue being there (except you could get in by solving a math puzzle(very funny)), and there's not even an empty underground tavern room file

went through to generate all the character dialogue pages and I'm pretty sure I got everyone without looking at anything. both slightly impressive and also like what a fucking nerd

so I'd been operating on the assumption that I wouldn't drop the link to the transcript site until I was a reasonable level of done. but I don't know if anyone would be interested in seeing it before then.
