he's a bit like toothless from httyd in that he's an adorable goofy dumbass if he's comfortable around you but he is in fact Extremely Smart And Deadly and will kill a man. has killed a man in fact. probably multiple. he is not a villain but for the grace of God.

Favorite moment

I will never not be a sucker for him taking on all the explodey drone things in that one detective comics issue. read it once, should probably read it again, but the image of him taking a stand against them (already extremely beat up from the first wave) lives rent-free in my head

Idea for a story

so many. currently the most exciting one is a tim and cass Sibling Adventure™ involving lady shiva in some vein. they're adorable and I love thinking about them as the kind of siblings that get mistaken for twins. also I want to write more fight scenes.

Unpopular opinion

he should stop being robin, red or otherwise, and maybe move to bludhaven with dick or something. being bruce's emotional support orphan is really not good for either of them :|

Favorite headcanon

all the shenanigans regarding his caffeine consumption. brewing coffee with red bull instead of water. pouring five-hour energy into cups of espresso. no one else being able to drink his concoctions because they violate so many health guidelines that they're basically coffee-scented toxic sludge. all scientists in gotham succumb to mad science in some way, after all. tim's just revolves around ungodly amounts of caffeine.

So, hear me out: a Murdock of a more monstrous flavor (my personal favorite)

Something that looks and acts like a human, but when you get close enough to look at all the little details they don’t quite add up. Yes, he’s bullshit tall and strong and smart, but sometimes he’ll move just a little too fast, or in certain light there’s a look in his eyes you can’t quite place. He’s eerily still whenever you’re talking to someone, staring at them like he can see into their soul (what does he see with his special eyes). As you spend more time together he’ll occasionally tell you something he’s ‘noticed’ about random strangers, Sherlock-style. Maybe he can give someone a particular Look™ and they’ll go do whatever he wants (probably usually ‘get out of his/your way’, but you never know 👀)

Maybe people talk of a cryptid that devours people in the area, and you worry for him when he’s out late at night. Perhaps he even collects clippings from the latest disappearance in the paper, ‘proof’ found in the woods, all that jazz. He can act like it’s just a fun tourist-trap thing, or maybe a determined yet incompetent cryptid hunter (of course, that’s all for appearances only…)

And when he finally lets his true form slip? I imagine he’s been injured in this form and made the deliberate choice to come to you, and although you should be afraid of the massive beast leaking black blood on your kitchen tile, there’s something so… familiar about him. You patch him up, laughing about how you wish your roommate could see him, he’s obsessed with you, it’s kinda funny, honestly… Murdock greets you the next morning with the patched up wound on full display in his human form, and if that doesn’t tip you off he’s fully prepared to give a whole ‘that was me, dumbass’ speech. You confirm they’re the same with no fear or disgust, and it has him falling hard- anyone else would run away, but he could tell you’re special from the moment you two met.

Oh boy this got rambly. Anyway, monster hot. 10/10 would smooch. -🐈 (maybe I’ll design him a good true form later, for some reason I am suddenly full of Creature!Murdock Thoughts and idk what to do with them)

MONSTER MURDOCK MY BELOVED!! ❤❤❤ he would make such a good eldritch creature/cryptid, honestly. just a bit too fast, strong, and intense to a fault. him being eerily still is also weirdly hot?? hate this man, learn to human better, stinky wet paperbag of a man /aff /pos

him potentially endangering himself by revealing his secret to you because you're the only one he trusts to fix him up while in his other form?? 😩👌 actually perfect also him bleeding black blood/ichor is just,,,,yeah

he definitely already cares enough about you that no matter how you take the revelation of what he was, he'll try his best to still be in your life without endangering you - he cares about you way too much to let you go at this point. bonus points for actually being a little oblivious to the obvious signs that he is very much more than the average man, he loves his unaware little roommate.

oh gosh um. i just love him. i like his smile (he doesn’t have a whole lot to smile about but it’s a blessing when he does). he’s so smart and honestly, he’s rarely given enough credit for that. i really like his accent because i really like australian accents (they were going to make chase english but jesse spencer fucked up that accent really badly. luckily for me). 

i love that he’s supposed to be the pretty one™ but he’s mostly just weird, and sad, but that’s not one of my favorite things. 

though it’s for sad reasons, he’s easy flattered and generally doesn’t think that highly of himself (even though he should) 

i also like that even though he’s really smart he does some dumbass things (like making his password, “password” and scanning the same leg twice for an x-ray). 

he occasionally wears the ugliest things known to man for reasons unknown to me but he somehow pulls it off. 

something i didn’t notice until a saw a gifset of it, which is that he puts things in his mouth (at least in the first few seasons) such as pencils, pens, coffee stirrers. (not sure if this was something that the writers intended or that the actor just did on a whim, but thanks to whoever). 

i like all the little things that are added to chase’s character. like that he’s allergic to strawberries or that he believes in aliens.

I… is that allowed??? Is that legal????❤️ male: probably Belen or Gallius, two very different characters. Belen is super chill and has a wonderfully dry sense of humor, while Gallius is very earnest and overly emotional and also weirdly chivalrous in how he scolds the protagonists for using misogynist language as they’re insulting him. He’s a fun dude.❤️ female: Deschauen, Artemis, and Luci are kind of tied. As the main protagonist we see the most of Desh and I love that she’s a perpetual fuckup who finally earns her badass moments. But I also adore Artemis’ journey from generic Sexy Lamp to a very well-defined female character with agency and her own goals and a ton of confidence. She’s also a great foil to the dipshit twins.❤️ nonbinary: Scriabin, the dumbass edgelord themselves. I actually like writing them the second most, after Desh, I think. They have a really unique perspective thanks to the extreme length of time they’ve spent doing nothing but pursuing their special interests and being moody and dramatic™ and honestly I’m just also a huge fan of their discovering the antagonists’ evil plot during a drunken one-night stand. Feels way more original than somebody monologuing.✖️least favorite: Dramalech was intentionally unlikable but he’s grown on me a lot. Don’t get me wrong, he’s every frat bro douche I’ve ever met (which is why he insists on fighting shirtless) but he got one of my favorite lines (“please don’t ask me to help you again, because I’ll be obligated to say yes and this was exhausting”) and he’s fun to write. He’s like Zapp Brannigan but smart. I actually think Shasta or Sond are my least favorites. Shasta is fun but he’s the best example the story has of How Not To Handle Trauma and if I knew him as a real person I would be so exhausted by his active refusal to embrace healing and safety and recovery. He has so many chances handed to him and doesn’t take ‘em. Sond is just a dickweed though.✔️ who resembles me: I think Deschauen is the most blatant, but she’s a lot more assertive and confident and butch than I am. I would actually say there isn’t a character who looks AND acts like I do, though Desh’s interactions with her sibling are drawn (sometimes verbatim) from my interactions with @sludgebat and she resembles me very strongly. I think every character has a bit of me in them, but I like to dream someday I’ll be as chill and supportive a mentor figure as Corbett. He’s such a fucking sweetheart.❤️ most attractive: Luci is way up near the top of the list, though blue dreads with purple scales sound very painfully 80s to me. Physically I think she’s the closest to being my type. And now all the other succubi are pissed. ❤️ three more characters that I like: I’ve named them all I think! The dipshit squad (Desh, Artemis, and Scri) are my absolute favorites, but I also adore Corbett and hope people like and remember him when this story is out there. Belen is wonderful too, as both a foil to Scri and kind of an adult figure to Desh. Nobody knows how old that dude is or what he does in his spare time, but I sure hope we find out eventually. Also, honorable mention to Nahash, the Endless Circle, Mother of Monsters, the World Serpent Herself. Love you!!
