WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 2023 — 5:40 PM

WHAT WAS YOUR first thought when Serval told you that you should date Blade?

“This is hilarious, I should go show it to him,” would be the correct answer. Now were you still scared shitless of him? Yes of course, but now you have an actual reason to talk to him — you’re own entertainment, instead of you shamelessly plugging your friends music.

Looking around the studio for him, you immediately spot him leaning against the wall staring blankly at his phone. It wasn’t like he was hard to spot, he was 6’2 (188cm) after all.

Brushing past your coworkers and stepping over chords and past equipment you finally manage to find yourself leaning against the same wall Blade was. Taking a quick glance at him is when you’re heart starts to speed up; were you really going to do this? What if he takes it the wrong way? What if he doesn’t find you funny? What if he calls you weird?

Well, maybe the last one isn’t that horrible but since it’s Blade you would be thinking about that phrase for the next decade and then some. Pulling out your phone once again and unlocking it you muster up the courage to speak and interrupt the light silence between the two of you.

“Hey dude, Serval said that we should date,” you bluntly say, taking a side glance at the man next to you. Blade seemed to have stiffened up at your words and looked at you unblinking.

“Why’d she say that?”

“What do you mean by that?”

“Like, why me? What was the reason?”

“Clout.”

He let out a small chuckle at your words which made your shoulders finally relax at the notion that he found what you said funny. “Was that it?”

“Yeah, what other reason should you go out with someone?” you reply jokingly.

“Less than two-hundred followers? Ew,” Blade sarcastically remarks to which you laugh at as he ran his hand through his hair.

“Wow you haven’t had a single sponsor within the last 6 months?” you fake an annoying tone along with the idol in front of you, “That’s like, really, embarrassing.”

“Shameful.”

A comforting silence overtakes the both of once more before you go back to the previous topic at hand, “Well Serval had originally said I should go out with Jing Yuan but according to her you had more clout.” You shrugged your shoulders as his eyes widen slightly.

“Let me see.”

Unlocking your phone, you pull up twitter in search for her tweet. As you pull the tweet up Blade tilts his head downwards to see Serval’s reply and scoffs lightheartedly, “That shits funny.”

You smile at his words and nod. Soon enough you begin to walk away from Blade as you both wave to each other, “Maybe his resting bitch face isn’t too intimidating.”

As soon as you’re out of his line of sight Blade immediately opens the groupchat but then sees a notification pop up and instinctively presses it. His eyes narrow as he looks across the room to see Tingyun grinning mischievously to which he rolls his eyes as she runs away.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 23 2023 — 12:12 PM

TINGYUN COULDN'T BELIEVE she was being a wingman for Jing Yuan — she couldn’t believe someone actually caught Jing Yuan’s attention.

Granted, Jing Yuan had always exhibited some traits of a hopeless romantic yet he had never seemed to actively pine over someone.

Walking over to Jing Yuan she discreetly pointed to the area where you were, “That them? With the gray bag?”

“Yes, that’s them,” he nodded, “Now go talk to them, please.”

“You know, for someone you barely know you sure seem pretty interested in them,” the brunette pointed out, “But fine whatever, I’ll do this for you. Make sure to be ready Sunday afternoon for your photo shoot too.”

With a nod, Jing Yuan sees her walk off into your direction hoping for the best — that you were a fellow model so he would be able to work with you for long periods of time. If you weren’t, he’d find some way to cope.

He always did.

THERE WAS NEVER a time Jing Yuan could say he was afraid of being rejected. All of his moves were always thought thoroughly through, never missing a beat whenever he slips up yet this time, he could feel his heart thump in anticipation.

You were standing by the vending machine, digging through your bag for presumably money as Jing Yuan observed.

“So, you’re so desperate that you resort to stalking hm?” a sudden voice interrupted his train of thought.

“Fu Xuan, what have I done this time?” Jing Yuan calmly smiled.

“Spare me the small talk. What’re you doing looking at your crush over there? Waiting to grow a pair to ask for their number or something?” she sarcastically replied, “And if you’re going to try and convince me to be wingwoman for you, give me half of your paycheck.”

“I would never do such a thing,” he softly chuckles.

‘Well fuck I have to do this myself.’

“Say, where’s Tingyun? I haven’t seen her for the past hour,” Jing Yuan off-handedly remarks.

“She’s on break,” the shorter girl yawns, “Don’t tell me you’re going to make her talk to them again for you.”

“I have no qualms against being one of her other sources of income — we both are getting paid after all.”

“You’re both getting paid?! Where the hell is Tingyun?!” Fu Xuan exclaims, running off in search of the brunette.

Lifting your head from the vending machine, you see a familiar head of pink hair running towards the exit screaming for your new coworker. Grabbing your snack from the dispenser you slowly walk out of the secluded section for the machines.

A deep chuckle resounded next to you, looking towards your left your eyes widened at the sight of your not-so-secret, secret admirer.

“She your friend?” you ask him, an attempt to make light conversation.

“Hm? Yes, Fu Xuan is someone I would consider a friend,” he mindlessly nods before taking a glance at you—

And then choking on absolutely nothing.

“I— ahem,” he cleared his throat, “You’re Y/N, correct?”

“Mhm, Jing Yuan, right?” you reply, looking at his noticeably flushed ears.

“Yes,” he nods. There was an obvious amount of awkward silence between the two, interrupted by Jing Yuan once again, “So… you have Twitter?”

“Yeah, want my @?”

“Yes, that’d be great,” he quickly nods, trying his best to hide his eagerness while taking out his phone.

“Hm… nope.”

an ever growing rock n’ roll musician that came from a prestigious family. was always a rebellious child but always stood guard in case her father had one of his outbursts. was going to move out when she turned 18 but stayed out of guilt letting her siblings stay in such a shitty predicament.

a grad school student not to achieve a higher education, but to stay out of the Landau household and taking over his parents responsibilities. loathes summer and winter breaks because he’s practically forced to head back home, but always puts a smile on his face for his sisters.

a secretary for one of the 7 biggest corporations. took over her mother’s position in the corporation yet loathes it at the same time. she wasn’t born into prestige, she was chosen. plucked from her world of poverty to young to remember but still wonders why it was her, and not one of the others?

“I used to know, but I’m not sure now.”

a childcare social worker for Natasha’s Orphanage. hates to admit, but has a soft spot for the children around her. she never got these kinds of connections as a child, but that’s why she does it. to give these children something she never got much of: care.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 2023 — 1:09 PM

NORMALLY, JING YUAN would feel no guilt for showing up late to a meeting, especially if it was under ten minutes. But this time he was close to cursing himself and other people out for being late to his date.

It was a miracle he was under ten minutes late in his eyes, he would never want to make you wait.

Parking his car nearby the place you had requested to meet him, he steps out onto the gravel. Reaching out to the passenger seat for the basket you had requested of him, making sure to lock his car before walking over to where you were standing.

Leaning against a bollard, you looked up from your phone at him with a smile, "Hey."

Oh how badly he wanted the roles to be reversed in that moment. For you to be the model and for him to be the photographer. The way the sun illuminated your face and glinted off the camera around your neck was one he would've given anything to remember for a life time ahead.

“Hey,” he returned with the same smile, wondering if he had the same effect on you as you did on him; rendered to nothing but pure adoration.

"You got a basket?" you tilt your head, swinging your own woven basket in your hand.

He nodded.

Signaling for him to follow you, he trails behind you on a dirt path now wishing he had worn slightly less expensive shoes to your date. You had noticed his slow steps behind you and paused your own for him to catch up, only for you to grab his hand once he had caught up; leading him to the chosen destination.

He hadn't flinched at the contact of your hand hold his, but on the inside he was shamelessly swooning. To busy being distracted at your initiative to hold his hand, he didn't bother to notice the change of scenery around him.

Turning towards him, you see his attention fully on your hand grasping his making you sigh. "Jing yuan, we're here."

Looking up, his eyes widen in awe at the sight of a field of daisies before him.

Noticing how his eyes sparkled and mouth gawked at the amount of flowers you question him, "Have you never taken a photoshoot in field of flowers before?"

Shaking his head, he notices your visible confusion at his answer.

"Well, do you want to?"

"What do you mean?"

"Have a photoshoot in a flower field," you offered, "I specifically suggested this place because the daisies reminded me of you."

Jing yuan smiled to himself at your words, glad to have at least taken up some space in your mind. "It's a kind offer, but I'd rather have this date be about us rather than work."

Nodding in understanding, you begin to carefully step into the field as to not squash any of the flowers under your feet.

"C'mon! We don't have all day now Jing yuan!"

The Xianzhou Luofu’s top model. One might think that he hangs out with more dignified friends rather than the mismatched group he has now, but the public will never know. They’ll never understand just how deep their connections run.

The Xianzhou Luofu’s second top model. One of the main reasons the group chat began - her rivalry with Jing Yuan: rivals to best friends who still pretend to be rivals for drama. Used to have a workaholic mindset but learned what was good for her, leaving behind the thoughts that weighed her down.

“It was all so innocent.”

˙☆. BLADE :

The main rapper of The St3llaronHunters. Was never one to be in the spotlight but felt an obligation to so he accepted. Isn’t very close with the group chat but still hangs around for nostalgia’s sake, and still holding onto loose threads of past now lost.

“This is just the way I am.”

˙☆. TINGYUN :

The lead photographer for the Xianzhou Luofu. Got into the group chat by selling extra photo copies of Jing Yuan. Could’ve been one of their models, but still has some lingering self-esteem issues due to a toxic and manipulative best friend.

“Memories Feel Like Weapons.”

A 13 year old child. Does anyone quite understand how he managed to wiggle his way into such a renowned group of people? No, but Jing Yuan seems to be acting as a protective brother figure to him, so they all learn to chill with him. Perhaps, it was the fact that he’s indebted to him in some way.
