Ok 2-parter…Do you think Coin was planning something all along or only kicked into crazy dictator once Mockingjay opportunity presented itself? And do you think she would have continued the “new” hunger games yearly or a one and done?

I think Coin got progressively worse as time went on and she gained more power and started getting her eye on President Snow’s position. But she probably wasn’t above doing something like this before the revolution came about, she just hadn’t had the opportunity yet. Also Prim said something about Coin losing her husband and child to an illness outbreak a few years prior to Mockingjay so maybe she snapped then and became a cold hearted dictator. Suz Suz likes to drop small-ish hints that point towards a more complicated and complex character and backstory, for all the minor characters and background people. You just gotta look closely for it.

And I think Mockingjay implied — or I literally just imagined it and made it canon in my own head — that Coin intended to make it a yearly thing, and that she wasn’t gonna let the games ever end.

Basically I think what happens is either Katniss daughter and her friend sneak out to the woods and Katniss goes to look for them and they either get attacked by dogs or wolves or something but Katniss protects them and carries them all the way home. When she gets home I think Greasy Saw is there and tells her that her shoulder and arm is broken and she’s like how did you carry them all home with a broken arm. Then later both kids apologize and Katniss cries from the events that day.

I think in close to the end they had this whole thing with peeta having magical powers because he was born on a red moon (some kind of moon not sure if it was a red moon) I also remembered there was this little part where they found out that prim was peetas dads biological daughter (I might have confused that with another fic)
