One of the passions Nevra unlocked upon arriving on earth was discovering those wonderful shopping malls so stimulating for product acquisition. You didn't even have time to read the store sign when you already realized that your dear boyfriend's hand was pulling you inside. The most annoying thing of all was that he would spend long minutes wondering whether to choose the plaid shirt or the plain one, whether the blue shirt or the black one. He is so indecisive that it drives you crazy in the wrong way sometimes. Shopping with Nevra means carrying more than five bags, each weighing at least three kilos. The worst part of it all is when you open your bank account and see that you could have spent more than half of two months' salary. That's why shopping with Nevra has become so limited.
But every once in a while it's good to take a break from life by shopping. Other times you are forced to do so for more important reasons such as a company dinner to which you are committed that same evening. How forgetful of you to think it was next tuesday and it turned out to be today. You urgently asked Nevra to accompany you so he could help you to pick out a dress. After all, his fashion sense was decent when it came to fitting into a certain style.
And you weren’t wrong. The dresses Nevra suggested were so elegant that there were times when they were far from what you were used to seeing on yourself.  When you tried them on, he was silent; you could see that he needed several seconds to think rationally, with his lips slightly parted. His eyes would scan you up and down, but without adding anything.
You laughed a little. "Hey..." in an attempt to get his attention you saw that it failed, his eyes completely glued to the way the dress marked the figure of your body. "Hey!" you exclaimed this time, snapping him out of his thoughts. "Are you going to give your opinion for once? It's weird seeing you so quiet."
"I doubt you're human." He said directly after clearing his throat, with a certain seriousness on his face. "You must be a Goddess, I'm sure of it." He seemed to be talking to himself by the way his voice came out so deep and low as he spoke.
"What are you saying now?" again you laughed out of his trance, shaking his arm a little. "Does that mean you like it?"
"I love it. I have too many good tastes, I think." A small smile appeared on his face as he stared at you in the mirror. "You have no right to doubt how beautiful you are." He sighed, as he again placed his hands on your waist, slowly moving down to your hips and stretching the fabric a little to smooth it out. But you knew perfectly well that his intention was not entirely to fix the dress.
"What a flirt you are" A small chuckle left your lips, but you couldn't help the heat on your face. Somehow his touch was able to leave your skin burning even if there was fabric involved. "What's the latest suggestion?"
"The latest suggestion..." He repeats, seeming to be on another planet as his hands turned you around so that you found yourself facing your own reflection. You watched as his hands ran down your hips to your stomach, caressing your belly with tingling gentleness. "I suggest you let me enjoy the view for a bit..." He murmurs, and you can definitely discern something hard pressed against one of your buttocks.
"Nevra... what's wrong with you today?" you whisper, trying not to let the heat of his touch spread through your body. You feel his hands caress your lower abdomen.
"Mm, what's wrong? Nothing." He whispers against your ear, putting more pressure with his hips so that you are able to perfectly notice the shape of his erection. "It would be a shame if it wasn't me making you debut your dress..."
You can't help but gasp the moment his lips begin to suck the skin on the back of your neck. His hands dare to caress your thighs above the dress, his dominant hand venturing beyond where the dress reaches to cover. It is then that a ripple of pleasure spreads through your body, causing you to cover your mouth at once so as not to let anyone notice that there is a finger circling your clit.
Nevra enjoys your reaction, smirking as he spreads kisses along your neck and finally shoulders. His middle finger circles your clit, with just enough pressure and speed to make you vulnerable. Not only that, but he slowly grinds his erection against the contours of your ass. The burning forming in your lower abdomen steadily moves down to the area Nevra is trying to access, making his stimulation of your clit more agile thanks to your own juices.
"Ah... I haven't just started and you're already this wet?" He whispers teasingly, as his tongue runs over the sweat generated on your skin by your nerves. "How cute..."
"Fuck..I can't help it." You whimper as low as you can, praying that the music in the store is loud enough so that no one nearby can hear your gasps. "Nevra, for God's sake... I'm going to kill you..." You growl, frustrated at the uncontainable desire to end up fucking in the fitting room of a clothing store.
"How kind..." He chuckles, increasing the speed and pressure of his fingers on your clit a little. "Say it again...?" The bastard knows what he's doing and takes advantage of it. The adrenaline gets the better of you and you can do nothing but respond with a soft moan. You open your lips to respond, but immediately have to bite your lip to avoid drawing attention to yourself.
"S-sometimes... I… ah- hate you." With your trembling voice you try to speak but it causes Nevra, who uses his other hand to lift your dress slightly from behind,  to laugh at your attempt.
"Oh, you hate me soooo much." The hand that rubbed your clit so devotedly lands on your back and helps you bend forward, making you rest your hands on the mirror so as not to lose your balance. Through the mirror you meet your reflection and the vision of Nevra's face, who is looking back at you with a mischievous grin. His eyes roam over your body and the reflection of your face, you can see he is having fun. Those grayish eyes were devouring you, and you could feel shivers through the areas he admired. So distracted were you with his gaze that the only thing that brought you out of your thoughts was the sound of him unzipping his pants. "A little bit of fun won't hurt..."
And it wasn't until seconds later that your panties were moved in a slow, torturous motion down to your knees. Each time your heartbeat got louder and faster, the adrenaline of doing this in public only increased the arousal.
You closed your eyes, unable to think of anything coherent. You were overcome with desire and it was clear to you that you needed him at that moment. Nevra rubbed the head of his cock against your entrance, enjoying the wetness emerging from inside. "Oh my god, baby..." He sighs, biting his bottom lip. "Last chance to back out?" he whispers.
You can't lie to him. Not when you're so wet that lust controls your desires.
"Fuck, no, go on.. But if you tear the dress..."
"I buy a new one." He said with some assurance, leaning down and planting a kiss on your head. "Thank you." He whispers and then slowly pushes inside you, feeling your walls embrace his cock in such a delicious way that it stole a grunt from him. His hands gripped possessively against your hips, and it didn't take you long to adjust to his size; your pussy had more than assimilated how Nevra felt. But every time he entered you it felt like the most pleasurable and delicious sensation in the world. You closed your eyes in pleasure, letting your head fall back as you gasped. "Open your eyes." You hear him say, as he grabs your chin and guides your head towards the mirror. His thrusts, slow but precise, burying his cock deeper and deeper inside you, do nothing to help you keep your eyes slightly open. "See? You're beautiful..." He growls in a husky tone.
Shit, you wanted to scream. It was an inopportune time to make you feel so good.
Every time you wanted to close your eyes, his fingers squeezed your hips or your chin as he picked up speed slightly. Nevra's shaky breathing was certainly pleasant to listen to, and yet the hustle and bustle of people outside the dressing room was enough to cover it.
"Ah... yes, faster..." you whimpered, and it didn't take him long to fulfill your request. Nevra was grateful for how horny you were, it was so easy to slide inside you. His hands gripped you so firmly that it was impossible for you to move. And it wasn't until he touched your weak spot that you had to cover your mouth from the moan that escaped your lips. At this, Nevra let out a playful chuckle and precise his thrusts to hit that spot again and again.
"Does that feel good?" He knew the answer, but he loved hearing you when you were in this state.
"Yes, yes... too good..." You mumbled, trying not to let your voice break from your boyfriend's actions. Fuck, the burning in your lower abdomen was getting more and more intense. Nevra was also focused on how good it felt, totally unfocused on his surroundings. You were both having a hard time not moaning how much you would like to.
You couldn't help but moan again when he muted his sounds by nipping at your neck. You could feel your own walls throbbing as he took you with more desperation. Until finally you let go and reached your orgasm, and seconds later Nevra pressed his hips harder than before, going as deep as he could so he could fill you with his own seed. You felt completely full, besides feeling your thighs weak and trembling from the intensity.
Your heaving breaths come together as he leans down to give you a messy kiss of affection to your lips, sighing and finally pulling out of you. Through the mirror you saw that he had an amused smile on his face.
"What makes you so happy?" you sigh, grabbing a piece of paper from your bag to clean yourself, even though it embarrassed you at that moment.
"You." He said, he was also wiping himself and finally helping you to stand upright. He was aware that your legs were shaky enough to not allow you to walk very normally. "And the fact that I've been the first to debut your dress and not your corporate dinner party." He admitted with a confidence that made you laugh.
"See you're a little silly sometimes...you're lucky I love you."
"Too lucky." Laughed he this time. You couldn't do much more though as you heard a couple of knocks on your fitting room door.
"Miss, you've been there for half an hour, are you all right?" a shop assistant spoke up, making it clear to you that it was time to go.
The look on the shop assistant’s face when she saw that you hadn't been alone was judgmental. But at least you had your dress for the dinner and both you and Nevra had enjoyed a moment together.

i love to praise ever after high for being one of the first doll lines to even tease a sapphic relationship on screen (i only say one of the first as roxxi and nevra from bratz were not confirmed until 2020), but the reality is ever after high was such a product of its time because even then, with an entire on screen kiss… they completely pushed aside any sort of development between darling and apple in favor of daring and it really sucks.
i LOVE daring, and i absolutely adore darabella. i love his arc in epic winter and i think it’s such perfect character development for him. what i don’t like, however, is that darling was such an important character in dragon games. like, the entire ending of dragon games was due to her character arc and her discovering her destiny, and… they barely show her on screen during epic winter. she gets maybe ten seconds of screentime in the background of some shots, and her and apple never even speak.
mattel had the best opportunity to give darling and apple some much needed discovery and closure during epic winter, especially after daring went through his own character arc and found out that he was destined to be with rosabella. i think it was in part that so many parents probably complained about the kiss (which is also why the “it was cpr” or “it was a friendship kiss” theories are so popular) so they pushed darling off screen in order to make parents happy, but it still drives me absolutely bonkers.
in general, i actually sincerely hate how mattel treated the charming children. it was obvious who their favorite was (daring) and i can’t fault them for that because i really do enjoy him and his arc, but dexter and darling were both routinely pushed aside and it drives me insane even all these years later.

Summary: humans appeared in forest near Eel, allegedly (Erika is sure but as far as I know she didn't see bodies) killed two guardsmen. It appeared that during those difficult times both Nevra and HH left Eel. Lance is nowhere to be found. Finally Erika looks after Huang Chu who is pretty awesome here. Quickly packed potions and orders Erika what to do. Erika was supposed to be in Light Guard, imagine- with her knowledge and wit ;)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I am still unsure whether those two faeries are indeed dead, or perhaps just seriously injured. Honestly, did I misclicked that part of script? We heard two shots, voices of at least 20 people and they we were like "oh no, they are dead, we have to run to HQ". I am not saying that Jamon and Erika should try to take that squad alone, but how did they know? How did they know?
Tumblr media
I know that everyone is badass here, but pfff. Discreet? Practical outfits? Pffffff. Even Lance's is sort of "fancier" armor, Mathieu's has his softest parts totally unprotected, same with Karenn, Koori... well, what is lacks in prtection, it doubles in distraction, right? It really shows that even that early in game Beemoov was v frugal with Eldarya. I am looking at several new backgrounds, new sprites in Kentin's AL episode and looking at Eldarya... A 2nd biggest game, 2nd season, and eh. Karenn, going for a battle with those tulle outfits :/
Tumblr media
Oh, so it WAS planned and prepared, just not announced because... Light Guard is allergic to communication. Just like my fav game company ;) BTW, all those praises in last episode how well prepared everyone is thanks to lovely HH and Erika and Jamon didn't know what to do when they noticed humans. They didn't know that HH left Eel.
Huang Chu's plan: gather and protect civilians (Eve, Adalric and Karuto), Leif, Koori and Jamon prepare defence. Lance, Mathieu, Chrome and girls go to the forest. Question: who will be left to lead Eel should they perish? Jamon? I would leave Lance or Mathieu in Eel, just in case.
Tumblr media
Aaaaa... yes? You know, it could be an accident from both sides and besides, two corpses are better than 20... unless you think that you can kill humans without problem which is reach- you all tried not to hurt FAMILIARS that were trying to murder you. BTW, Erika really thought that any peaceful solution is wrong, and had to be shut down by HC. I guess it's crappy way to show how STRONG WOMAN Erika is now, ready to kill without asking because someone threatened HER WORLD. Look, I live more than 1/3 of my life in one town, but I still have huge sentiment towards city of my childhood. Erika has spent in Eldarya over than 1 year of her life. Pffffff.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
FUCKING. THANK YOU.
Tumblr media
That idiot. That idiotic idiot, jumping to one conclusion only and never checking facts or other possibilities. The correct answer is the first one, btw.
Tumblr media
They go to the forest, there are people. Erika explains to HC (briefly) how guns work. Does it mean that HH didn't tell Light Guard what she knew? Or did Mathieu and Erika dorgot to explain that when gun points you it's usually the bad news?
Tumblr media
Behold, the last moment of humans being not 100% evil and having... human emotions and reactions.
Tumblr media
Ofc. Of fucking course. They are humans, men, so that have to act deranged, kill everything that is moving and being also perverted, because only pure, enlighted faeries know what feminism is. I am sure I wouldn't try to catcall an individual of unknown species just because they are Feminine-presenting. Men are evil, Beemoov edition.
Tumblr media
see above. Professional army group wouldn't act this way. 2. I played TO, Nevra wasn't that much better. When he kidnapped us, Lance was saying... strange and frankly, alarming things to us. So no, SA is not exclusive to Eldarya only. And, btw, not to men only.
And they keep on going, because Beemoov has agenda to show us how EVIL humans are, and how mysoginistic men are, and girls rule. Like, yes, they rule, but not here, ok?
Tumblr media
How do you see they are smiling behind mask? How do you know these are evil smiles? Oh, men, right?
Tumblr media
Blah blah, soldiers know Eldarya v well.
Tumblr media
The sentries are dead? But with Google translator I am still not sure how do we know, it's probably lost in translation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Erika takes initiative. Shield is stronger than usual thanks to potions everyone took earlier, they can share their feelings and powers.
Tumblr media
The text here is rather nice, Erika wonders which feeling is her, and which one is one of her.. friends. She or Huang Chu uses power of Lance because ofc, he has to save the day somehow... but suddenly, there is problem with this connection due to... (Mathieu? my guess) and man down, man down, Erika got shot in stomach. If it's a liver or artery it's not good. Let's hope she got her intestines shot :)
Tumblr media
Of COURSE! I had to be rescued by Lance again.
Tumblr media
What, no illu with this scene? ;)
Ophelia saves us, on illu she has strangely long arms. Like a monkey. The illu is nice.
Tumblr media
Back to infirmary.
Tumblr media
Dooom Dooom DOoom. The end.
4/10. I really didn't enjoy it. Highlights are: outfit tho overpriced has some nice elements, HC was awesome, I am glad that Erika had few good moments, and Karuto was ok-ish. The rest is just nonsensical.

Entry 20
Nothing else weird happened with the Hut after it swore fealty to Anastasia or whatever you want to call it. Everything was normal inside. Everything was where we left it. Aenland ended up in the worm room when he decided to enter through the chimney. All of our companions were still there—maybe a little shaken up from the Hut having been hopping around for the last two days on end, but otherwise no worse for the wear. Alexei seemed a bit spooked by the hut, but then, he’s a kid from a world without magic. A big sentient house with chicken legs is probably like a big monster to him. At least, that’s what I thought at the time.
We rested for the night, and reconvened in the morning. The kids insisted that they come along with us. There were still things they needed to discover out in the camp apparently. And they felt confident in their ability to hide from the guards. So we all agreed to let them tag along, so long as they stayed in the flying cauldron and stayed away from any of the fighting.
On the way to the camp, Rasputin manifest his face in the sky and made a big show of threatening us for ‘taking something precious from him’, but then he didn’t even do anything about it. Not that I’m complaining about not having more lightning or destruction spells thrown at me.
However the light show did distract Aenland enough that he nearly flew Nevra right into one of those landmines. I had to fly Talsune into them to knock them off course. Aenland got all defensive. As if I’d just ram into them for no reason, he should have known I was trying to help him without me spelling it out for him. But I did spell it out for him, and then he was properly grateful for me not just letting him get his ass blown up.
We made it back to the camp without further incident, and I had a plan to keep us hidden from the snipers and the enemy Dullahans. I’d taught myself a useful new spell for the occasion: greater hide from undead. We could pass through the camp completely invisible to anything that wasn’t entirely living within. Which given that Rasputin had the same predisposition for undead pets that I do, I knew this would give us a sweeping advantage against probably the most dangerous creatures waiting for us.
We decided to make our way to the back of the camp first, to take care of whoever had been throwing lightning at us the day prior.
It turned out it was treants. Two lightning throwing treants growing out of the building.
Nestian and Nevra cut down the trees before they had a chance to react, and we gathered a shocking amount of treasure hidden amongst their roots. Within the room was also a letter written in draconic in Rasputin’s handwriting, addressed to one “Radimir”, who he directed to keep an eye on “their little secret” which he didn’t want his sister to find out about.
A hoard and a letter in draconic pointed towards a dragon, but we hadn’t heard anything about a dragon working with Rasputin, nor had we seen any signs of a dragon before now. We…perhaps didn’t look into it as closely as we should have. Or maybe the answer was too close to us for us to see.
I’m not the sort to regret the past. I don’t think there’s any way we could have known, or anything we could have done differently. But somehow that stings more.
So we gathered the treasure and left the empty house behind. Aenland suggested we take out the snipers next, so that they couldn’t harass us while we cleared the Dullahan camp. I was hesitant to approach the central cathedral, but Aenland intended to snipe the snipers from a distance, and it seemed like it would be a quick in and out, so I didn’t voice a complaint.
We left Nestian and Aenland by the cleared out dragon den, and the rest of us made our way to the burnt out cathedral. The snipers never took a single shot at us—my spell did what it was meant to. They never saw us coming.
I saw arrows from seemingly out of nowhere fly through the sniper’s lookout right before I entered the cathedral with Talsune.
I felt like my heart was going to stop as a vision overtook my mind, of how Baba Yaga was captured by Rasputin. Horrible fractal effects sparked behind my eyes and I heard her screams. And Rasputin’s face swam across my vision. Before everything snapped back to clarity. I staggered up the stairs to try to still be of use against the snipers, but by the time I made it to the top of the tower, Aenland’s final arrow had slain the last undead sniper. He never really needed our help—although I’m not about to tell him that.
As I tried to catch my breath and braced myself to go back down the stairs, there was a searing pain through my body, and then blood was running down my cheeks and from wounds on my hands that hadn’t been there a moment before. Edeya was next to me, and she had blood running from her eyes and hands as well. I could feel that Talsune was in pain—whatever had happened to us had affected my partner downstairs as well.
Downstairs we heard Cesseer yell up to us that the statues were bleeding and attacking. So apparently that was a thing. Then echoing up from below we heard a familiar laugh.
Rasputin was here.
I cast Spell Resistance on myself and ran down the stairs, adrenaline banishing any remaining fatigue from the strange vision moments before. I flung myself onto Talsune’s back, and without my directing he reeled us around towards the statues.
My aim had been to try to punch past the statues and see if I could distract Rasputin while others more suited to fight the statues did so—but that isn’t how it went.
Talsune got slowed by one of the golems auras, and it began laying into him. My partner was really hurting, and we were in a bad position to try to get to safety. And then a second one joined in, just to make matters worse. I couldn’t do anything to harm the magic-immune golems. Talsune’s sword could only do so much, especially while he was surrounded.
Thankfully Cesseer stepped in and took on one of them, taking the attention off my partner. And Edeya caught up and began healing Talsune, assuring that he wouldn’t fall in this battle.
Unfortunately, since I wasn’t able to distract Rasputin as planned, he had joined in the fight. His oh-so-brave projected image flew through the wall and tried to strike Aenland with a curse—but thankfully he resisted. Aenland then proceeded to completely ignore Rasputin since he wasn’t really there, and began shooting statues, clearing the horde.
Even though we’d won, Rasputin laughed at us. He vanished, saying that the longer we took, the stronger he would become, and the weaker his mother would grow.
He’s so fucking full of it.
We’ve virtually completely cleared his entire camp in two days. What does he mean ‘the longer we take’? I think he’s just trying to sound big and scary to hide the fact that he’s starting to realize that we’re a legitimate threat to him.
Besides, there’s no way he could completely drain Baba Yaga’s power…right?
That aside, once we were done in the cathedral, we decided it was finally time to deal with the pesky little Dullahan problem.
So we made our way to the ‘Cossack’ camp. I’m still not entirely sure what a ‘Cossack’ is, but it’s what everyone here keeps calling all the Dullahans. Anastasia said that she thought that the Cossacks were meant to protect her family, she didn’t understand why they were acting the way they were now. Her brother seemed less convinced that they had ever been loyal. From what I saw of them while fighting them, I think they believed they were still fighting for Anastasia’s family, but someone had manipulated their perception of the world. Someone likely being Rasputin since he raised them as Dullahans. I have yet to tell Anastasia this. It seems pointless to heap more suffering at her feet by telling her that her loyal guards were made into puppets whose acts of violence were done in her family’s name.
With my Hide from Undead spell we were able to directly approach the camp, but once we were near the Dullahan captain and the Lantern Goat saw through my magic. The captain ordered his men to charge—but none of them had broken through my magic yet, and they seemed merely confused by his order. The Lantern Goat retreated into a tent—whether it was merely a coward or aware that it was the target, I’m uncertain.
There was one other combatant in the camp. A familiar sight from months prior. Radosek Pavril’s goat, the strange abyssal familiar that had burst into locusts the last time we’d fought it.
So, okay fine, the others were right that Pavril’s goat was here. I don’t know why his weird demon familiar would be here on a different planet consorting with a Lantern Goat, but who am I to question the motives of demons?
And seeing as it wasn’t undead, it saw us perfectly fine. It stood on its hind hooves and its body twisted and contorted out of its goat disguise until it had a grotesque fly-like head sitting atop its goat body.
I wonder if Radosek knew what his familiar really was when he was going around trying to impress women by showing them his goat?
Still, we had the jump on them with most of their troops completely unaware of our presence. Nestian led the charge, his blade drawing blood across an oblivious Dullahan.
And then my magic snapped. Unlike the snipers, these Dullahans must have had strong wills, because when Nestian’s attack connected they broke through the haze of my spell and saw the reality of us invading their camp.
The captain, astride upon a midnight black Nightmare rather than a regular warhorse, again commanded his men to charge. And this time they obeyed.
I am so fucking jealous. I made Ivan to be a superior Dullahan to Rasputin’s, I used abilities granted by Urgathoa herself and armed him with a Thanadaemon’s scythe and everything, and then he goes and does something as cool as putting a Dullahan on a fucking Nightmare? I am so mad. That much style is wasted on Rasputin.
Of course, first we had to deal with the pesky little goat demon. It charged forward and stuck Nestian with its proboscis, trying to suck his blood like a nasty little demonic vampire. Or a really big mosquito. Nestian pushed it away. Then I flew Talsune in. I had acquired a maximize metamagic rod from our recent ventures, and it was time to put it to good use. I cast a maximized boneshatter on the demonic insect, snapping and shattering its sections of its bones and exoskeleton.
I can’t say I bear much of a grudge against Pavril, but I don’t remember him fondly either. He tried to curse me when we fought against him. And this damned thing disguised as a goat had been shooting fire at us that whole fight. I wasn’t letting it get away again.
Feeling my desires, Talsune swung around and brought his blade down on the demonic half-goat-insect-thing.
Actually by now I knew what it really was, a Coloxus demon, but its partially dropped disguise made it look so horrifically disfigured that it was hard not to think of it was some strange monstrous thing instead.
With the clatter of hooves, the Dullahan captain charged forward, thrusting his lance through Nestian. Then his steed breathed out a noxious cloud that blanketed Nestian and the Coloxus demon. Then just to add insult to injury, he held up his dismembered head, and spoke our names. They echoed out, and each of us could feel our souls try to be pulled towards the grave. A nasty trick I’d been saving for Rasputin with Ivan—but seeing as he had our shadows, of course he would have his own Dullahan do the same right back at us. Most of us managed to recover, but Edeya and I seemed to have a more difficult time of it, and had to catch our breaths. I don’t know about Edeya, but I suspect for me it’s because my soul isn’ in a bit.
Yeah, more than once. I’ll get to the ‘a few times’ in a bit.
Aenland took initiative against the Dullahan cavalry, and began picking them off from farthest to nearest, to keep any more deadly charges like the captain’s to a minimum.
Ivan got into a duel with another Dullahan, but he was struggling—as loathe as I am to admit it, these Dullahans were clearly superior. They had brought knowledge of their battle tactics from life with them that I hadn’t managed to properly carry over with Ivan.
Roscoe on the other hand was doing an excellent job, despite having to avoid using his negative energy abilities. I fucking love Baykoks, easily the best undead pet. I might leave Ivan behind in Russia and just take Roscoe with me when we go back to Golarian. He can become an urban legend or something, wandering the snowy wastes.
Anyways, after the captain called out our names, the Lantern Goat seemed to take that as its cue to make a reappearance. It charged out from the tent it had been hiding in, and flashed its sickly light at us. Thankfully none of us fell into the panic it induced in less strong-willed individuals.
And now it was out in the open and completely exposed. I decided to hold off on the demon, which was shrouded in fog and would be a pain to attack now anyways, and threw everything I had at the Lantern Goat. Starting with a Destruction spell, empowered by the Pallid Princess to return this undead back to where it sprung from. The goat was still standing, just barely staggering forward. So I quickened a Boneshaker, and pulled it forward myself. Its bones ripped from its decaying flesh, and it fell in a heap. Its lantern fell atop it and shattered—releasing the soul trapped within.
While I had been busy with that, Nestian had taken care of the Dullahan captain and the insect demon. All that was left was one final Dullahan solder, which was looming over Ivan, who was struggling to fend him off. I directed Talsune towards the horsemen’s dual, and he cut down the final Dullahan. Keeping my pet alive for a little longer.
I still need him to use Death Calling on Rasputin to make up for his Dullahan captain doing the same to me, after all.
With the Dullahan encampment cleared, we only had three more locations to clear: the building with the ‘furry hunters’, the pit full of poisonous gas, and the Abbott House that made us feel an unnatural terror when we approached.
We chose the furry hunters first. And honestly this is barely worth a footnote. All that happened was that Nestian knocked on the door—as he does—and one answered. It turned out they were yetis, and the one that answered went to attack Nestian, but Nestian was faster and cut him down immediately. Then we cut the other three in the building down one-by-one, before any of them had an opportunity to act.
With that out of the way I suggested we deal with the pit next, as I had a plan to clear the poisonous gas and take the fight to the shambling creatures within rather than letting them get the jump on us at the Abbott House. The others agreed that this sounded preferable. So I dug out the Staff of Heaven and Earth that we got forever ago, that had been sitting in my bag of holding along with many other potentially useful trinkets, and I handed it off to Edeya so she could cast Control Winds through it.
She did, using her newfound command over the air to clear out the noxious fog in the pit at the back of the camp—revealing what was within. Two tanks and a legion of zombies with that same fog wafting off of them. And two large clouds of that gas that were unaffected by the wind—elementals of some sort, that were made of intelligent poisons and negative energy.
Aenland led the attack with a flurry of arrows that put both of the tanks out of commission. At the same time Nestian charged forward and cleared out the handful of living human combatants. Those that didn’t immediately fall before his axe had the smarts to flee—there was no victory here for them today.
I decided to spread a little chaos amongst their ranks. I enforced my will over half of the enemy zombies, severing their connection to the elementals that seemingly created them, and making them my own puppets instead. Then I set them loose against their former allies, having them turn on the other zombies and slaughter them—leaving us free to focus on the elementals. Talsune flew forward and burned away some of the nearest elemental’s gasses with his fiery breath. He was quickly followed up by an arrow from Roscoe.
On the other end of the battlefield I saw the other elemental make its move. It smothered Ivan and Cesseer. Ivan seemed perfectly fine—the gasses were made for the undead, so even as they ate at his flesh they also rejuvenated him.
Cesseer on the other hand wasn’t looking too good. We needed to clean this up quickly and get Edeya to her.
Fortunately, Aenland’s arrows shot through the elementals and cleared them out—good timing as Roscoe had made a misstep and had used negative energy on his bullets what healed one.
While I gathered up the remaining controlled zombies and had them gather together in convenient Searing Flames range to quickly wipe them out and get rid of loose ends, Edeya healed up Cesseer.
Then it was time to head back to the Abbott House.
Alexei suddenly became very timid, despite him agreeing with his sister about wanting to come with us this morning. He said that this was a very bad place, and we should leave it be.
But, obviously we couldn’t do that. There was something inside. Something we needed to see for ourselves.
We told the kids to get to safety away from the building while we explored.
Then Aenland decided he wasn’t going to do things the easy way—oh no—he decided it was time to go back to old tricks and take the window. He found the nearest window and smashed it, then climbed inside. A moment later I heard him messaging me over the Stone of Farspeech, informing me that he could hear Rasputin, and that he was going to hide.
I decided I wasn’t leaving him in there with Rasputin without any backup. Not when I had an ability now that could get me in and out unnoticed, virtually foolproof—or so I thought.
I handed off the Stone of Farspeech to Nestian and then used Spirit Walk to become incorporeal, vanishing onto the Ethereal Plane. From there I was able to simply walk through the wall into the room Aenland had hidden himself within. I could see the elf, pressed into a closet. I did not see Rasputin, nor did I hear any signs of him searching for Aenland.
I decided to do some scouting while my spirit form lasted.
I poked my head out of the door—and immediately came face-to-face with Rasputin.
He was seated casually on a sofa, lounging, toying with one of those nesting dolls, like the one he said Baba Yaga was trapped in.
He looked up when I entered and casually acknowledged me, stating he hadn’t seen me in spirit form in a long time.
I was so taken aback I simply admitted to him that I hadn’t expected him to be able to see me.
He laughed, noting that of course I wouldn’t if I didn’t remember anything. He then asked if it was just me here. I lied, telling him that it was—since I could become incorporeal I was ideal to scout ahead, so I’d come alone, I told him.
He said that was a shame, he’d intended to give us an opportunity to talk. But as it was, it would just be me and him.
He asked if there was anything I wanted to know from him.
I didn’t even hesitate to ask him what he knew about my past, what he knew that I didn’t remember or didn’t know.
He asked me something I wasn’t expecting. Did I want to know about Calio Caecos, or the Grim Rider?
I asked if there was really a difference.
He said superficially. It’s the same body, same abilities, adjacent personality, but there are differences. Calio is who I was at the start—and who I am now. And the Grim Rider is who I was when I worked for Elvana.
Rasputin said that I was never Baba Yaga’s rider, not back then at least. I was Elvana’s. When I went to Baba Yaga after leaving Keisuke with the mission to assassinate her, I’d refused her offer to be revived in exchange for a year of servitude. And somehow I found myself at Elvana’s doorstep instead, I ended up roped in with her plans to overthrow Baba Yaga, and I made a deal with her to become her rider instead. That’s why I was with her on Triaxus, and in Whitethrone.
I don’t get the logic behind it. I can see where I might have been too proud to accept servitude, as foolish as it might have been to seek out Baba Yaga just to refuse her, but then why turn around and lower myself to kneeling to Elvana?
The answer probably lies in the part Rasputin didn’t want to talk about.
He got evasive towards the end. He said he hated how the story ended. He hated how I betrayed them, and how I stood him up, and how he had to kill me and leave me in a ditch somewhere.
He tried to make me an offer to change things. To change that ending. Rasputin asked me to leave the others behind and to join him.
Obviously I said no. He had just told me to my face that he’d killed me once already. And besides…he’s not the winning side anymore.
I should be pissed. He killed me and threw out my body for the vultures. I should be chomping at the bit for revenge. I told him as much, that I always avenge myself when I’ve been wronged. Normally I’d be ready to swear to Norgorber how slow and painful his death will be for how he’s crossed me.
But I just feel tired.
I almost feel like I should have expected this. Of course I was working with Elvana all along. Of course Rasputin and I were lovers. Of course I betrayed him, probably on some ill-advised power grab I’d been planning since I first bent a knee to his sister, and of course he killed me.
I should be mad that he killed me, or surprised that I’ve apparently died not once but twice in the last year, but all I can feel about it is unspeakably drained.
When I refused, Rasputin just sighed and said he had to try, right?
I just nodded. Yeah. I suppose so.
I hate it that I can see where in another life I could have cared.
Rasputin told me to go get the others. He had something he needed to discuss with all of us. We’d taken something of his, and he wanted to negotiate. Although he felt he knew my answer already from our talk.
Seeing as he’d only started talking about us ‘taking something’ since we’d rescued Anastasia and Alexei—yeah, that was going to be a hard sell. For any of us—I was hardly going to be the most difficult of the lot.
I didn’t end up needing to go fetch the others, as it turned out. At that moment, Aenland sneezed loudly and there was a loud crash in the room where he’d been hiding. He slammed the door open and began accusing Rasputin of laying a trap for him. I sighed, informing Rasputin that my friends were, in fact, idiots. Then I dropped my spirit form.
At about that time Nestian, Edeya, and Cesseer came barreling in through the front entrance, having heard the commotion of Aenland crashing about.
So Rasputin had what he wanted, we were all gathered.
He informed us that he wanted Anastasia back. In return he would inform us where the dolls holding Baba Yaga were. He claimed that he wanted to keep Anastasia safe. He seemed genuinely upset about  what had happened to her—the fact he’d had to resurrect her from almost nothing after her family was massacred. I’m good at reading people, and I couldn’t believe it, but he seemed sincere.
Still, he was doing a shit job, no matter how sincere he was. With him she was surrounded by the undead specters of her former guards, sadistic monsters who experiment on humans for fun, and the manifestations of different facets of death. Even if she was physically safe—which isn’t a guarantee with Kytons and Daemons about—that can’t be good for her mental health.
Then Nestian brought up a good point. What about her brother? Rasputin hadn’t said a single word about Alexei.
Rasputin’s face twisted, and he smashed the doll he was holding as he asked ‘what about him?’
His laughter echoed as he disappeared, replaced by four phantoms. Three young girls, and a young boy.
The boy was too familiar. It was very clearly Alexei.
The phantoms were clearly in distress, but also hostile. We had no choice but to fight back against them.
So we did, releasing their souls one-by-one. Their voices echoed a quiet ‘thank you’ as they faded away with a final blow. Alexei first. Then each of the girls—Anastasia’s three sisters.
When it was done, the room was quiet. Rasputin was gone. I wanted to scream. I was tired of him toying with us. I was tired of him.
Nestian had another thought, and had run out the front door.
A few moments later there was shouting out front. I ran for the front door in time to see a horrific sight. The mangled body of what was once Alexei, with two dragon heads protruding from his shoulder blades, far too large for his small frame. He was holding another of those Matryoshka Dolls in his hands—from the quick glance I saw this one looked almost lightning scarred. But then in an instant he was gone as he cast Plane Shift.
That dragon den we’d seen before. Now we knew who it belonged to. And what secret this Radimir had been keeping an eye on for Rasputin.
Alexei had been dead all along. There had been no survivors of the Romanovs’ execution—but Rasputin had deigned to bring Anastasia back. Only Anastasia.
Anastasia was horrified at what she’d just seen—rightfully so. But then with an astounding amount of willpower she pulled herself together. She told us that there was something else still in the Abbott House, and she didn’t want to leave until we’d seen this through to the end. We could hardly deny her, not when she was pushing through so much to keep going forward. Besides, it was to our benefit to purge the house of whatever was haunting it as well.
We returned to the house, and Nestian opened the last remaining door. Within were a half dozen wraiths holding a séance binding a single ghost woman.
When we opened the door, a few of the wraiths left their positions and floated through the walls to attack us with their touch that chilled to the soul.
I threw a Flame Strike into the room, setting everything within ablaze.
Aenland ended up surrounded by three wraiths, but he handled himself fine. Nestian and Cesseer pushed into the room and began clearing out the wraiths within.
After a few moments we had cleared out the haunting specters, and all that was left was the ghost woman. She introduced herself as Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna—Anastasia’s mother. She was relieved to hear that one of her daughters was alive and well. This was enough to begin her transition to the afterlife—although she held on to the material plane for long enough to say goodbye to her daughter. Nestian went to fetch Anastasia.
I made some blithe comment to the Tsarina, and she spoke to me, referring to me as the Grim Rider. So apparently even she knew who I once was.
Anastasia was so happy to see her mother that she tried to fling herself into her arms—but of course she passed right through, her being a ghost and all. The two of them talked. Laughed, even. Then Anastasia asked her mother if Rasputin was her real father.
Oh. Yeah that would explain a few things.
Her mother confirmed. Which meant that Anastasia was the legitimate heir to Irrisen’s throne, as Baba Yaga’s granddaughter. Which is why Rasputin didn’t want Elvana to know about her—she was a threat to her rule.
Anastasia told her mother to forgive her, because she was going to commit a sin—she was going to commit patricide, because Rasputin had to die.
Her mother fully endorsed this choice, and asked Aenland to give Anastasia her family heirlooms, which the elf had apparently picked up somewhere. It was a fine uniform and a sleek gun. Anastasia handled the gun expertly—certainly with more precision than I ever could, I’m more of a spell user than a marksman.
Anastasia’s mother passed on to the Boneyard, and we began our trek back to the Dancing Hut. As we walked, Anastasia spoke to me. She checked in if I still had amnesia—I very much still do, despite having more answers now I still don’t actually remember shit. She assured me that once I got my memories back, it would feel good to have them—even the bad parts.
I hope she’s right. Because from what I’ve heard, there’s going to be a lot of bad parts to sort through.

Well, here's another remake of posters from episode 18 of Eldarya.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well, here's another remake of posters from episode 18 of Eldarya. Basically, I changed only the girl for my heroine.
Since Alya was the sister of both newlyweds, and Nevra was the brother of Karen, they escorted them to the wedding ceremony. Erika at this time was more tormented by thoughts about her knowledge that the Oracle had shown her. And so I couldn't focus on work. Even Mathieu caught her many times all this time in order to calm her down and cuddle her. The ceremony passed slowly, though the lovers were afraid, but no one prevented them from joining their destinies together in such a difficult time. Alya was next to Nevra and the children, whom she helped as much as she could. During the dance, first of the newlyweds, then of Nevra and Alya, who joined according to tradition, the converted vampire smiled sincerely and could not stop her tears of happiness for her loved ones, her husband was in the same condition.
-Still, it happened and now Karen will be under Chrome's protection. - Alya said with tears in a slow waltz with her husband, sometimes looking at the children who were sitting next to Maora.
-Yes, this is a long-awaited and amazing event. I am very happy for them! - Nevra said in response and pressed his wife closer to him, kissing her gently and passionately on the lips, to which she answered with the same zeal. True, their solitude did not last so long and soon they joined the general round dance with the rest of the guys. The smiles on their faces did not leave during the holiday. But by the end of the music, Nevra took Karen to dance, and Alya went to the children. Approaching her relatives, the vampire stroked their heads and even kissed them on the foreheads.
-Mom, mom, and now Aunt Karen will also have children? - Asked the younger with a smile.
-That's what I don't know baby. - Alya answers her, to which she receives a serious look from Maora, who was standing nearby.
-I do not think that my daughter will have time to do it, the situation is too serious. Before Nevra's mother had time to utter the last words, a shot rang out, and then again and again.
-It's better for everyone to lie down and try to hide in the headquarters! - Alya said seriously and the children with Maora followed her advice. The girl herself tried to appeal to her forces in order to install a small shield to protect them. The shots got closer and closer, some of the scenery even began to fall due to hitting them. The vampire held the shield over her relatives almost without protecting herself, because the kids are the future and they are more important. When they got to the gate, Alya transferred the shield to herself and began to look around, looking for Nevra, but he was not there. Well… It's time to look for him… With such thoughts, Alya quickly took off on dark wings and, having flown not so far, noticed her husband and Cameria in danger, and Erika, who was running away from them towards the forest. Landing next to her beloved, she increased the shield's size, shielding the two of them from danger as well. Nevertheless, the attack continued, but now at least Nevra would be more or less intact. Under this shield, Nevra even sharply kissed his beloved on the cheek, looking a little frightened, and then began to repel the attacks aimed at them. He came out from behind the shield and Alya tried to move him, walking along with Cameria. True, there was not much strength left and she was afraid that she would not stand it. Therefore, turning off her shield while Leiftan came to the rescue with her forces, she began to fight alongside Nevra. Still, she was not so weak in this, and the vampire's reflexes helped to dodge some attacks, and when she heard, she heard where they were shooting from. The battle continued for some time until all the attackers were neutralized. And Cameria stepped aside to Erika, and then even came with her father.
-Shame on you! You promised not to attack Eldarya! - Said Nevra, who approached the man and punched him very hard on the cheek. - Because of you, my family and friends are in danger! - After the words, another blow followed, but it seems that this did not frighten him, but only provoked him. After some time of interrogation Cameria came and Lance with Erica. Mathieu rushed to hug his friend and led her forward, while the rest went to the hole where the holiday was held. There, seeing the children, Alya and Nevra rushed to them and immediately hugged them tightly.
-Dear, it's good that everyone is safe. - Nevra even kissed the kids and Alya until he saw how Erica fainted into the arms of Mathieu. The rest of the days didn't go too well. Leiftan hasn't heard from Miko and the child for several days… Valkyon, Icarus, Ezarel were also silent in response to Nevra's letters. This caused great anxiety. The headquarters was preparing for what awaits them. Alya tried to find a way out of the situation, maybe the forces of everyone will help restore the crystal, or will they all have to go to Earth? This question tormented her all the time when she helped Nevra with tasks, the children were with Maora all the time and saw their parents only in their free time.

Last night in Pathfinder we infiltrated Rasputin’s prison camp with extreme violence, committed identity theft, saved a prisoner from a woman dressed like Pinhead, got shot by snipers, and learned all about the different areas we’d need to clear before facing the man Rasputin himself.
@scarlet-the-girl
The party began the session running after the Dancing Hut, which was racing away deeper into the woods of Siberia, leaving a path of destroyed trees in its wake. Finally, after 30 minutes of giving chase, the Hut stopped at the edge of the woods, where we could see a prison camp set up with soldiers in trenches and tanks set up outside. And a strange purple lightning occasionally striking from above at each of the watchtowers at the camp’s four corners and a building within its center.
We entered the Dancing Hut now that it had…somewhat calm down. It was still hopping excitedly in place, but it was no longer fleeing.
Nestian and Aenland went to Jadrenka for healing when they discovered the Hut’s magic soup was dried up, and Calio went back to his personal room to cast Desecrate and Create Undead on a headless corpse he’d gathered from their previous battle, creating a Dullahan like the one Rasputin had. As Calio put it ‘I made a better one’, since his was empowered from being created in a desecrated area by an alter to Urgathoa. His new Dullahan is named Ivan, he’s summoned a mount named Shadowfell, and he’s equipped with Urgathoa’s favored weapon: the +4 keen scythe we got from killing the Thanadaemon the day prior.
The party regrouped and left the Hut to face the guards of the camp head-on. Aenland saw a watch tower in the distance and flew Nevra off to take care of it while the rest of the party took care of the tanks and soldiers out front.
Cesseer jumped into the trenches and began fighting one of the troops hunkered down there. Ivan and Nestian followed suit against the troops in the opposite trench.
Calio, Ivan, and Talsune took a number of shots before Calio had Talsune fly them behind Ivan. He cast Mass Inflict Serious Wounds on himself, Ivan, and the troops. He and his undead healed, and the troops died in a necrotic blaze.
Calio, Edeya, and Cesseer were targeted by the living tanks—which had no human pilots, and were instead controlled by disembodied brains. Everyone but Cesseer took a good chunk of damage.
Up in the air, Aenland flew towards the watchtower. The men inside set off its defenses, and a coil of lightning was set off, striking towards Aenland and his Dragonkin. Nevra was immune, but Aenland took the full brunt of it. When the lightning struck he heard an old woman’s scream of pain—Baba Yaga’s voice.
He couldn’t take another hit like that. So he decided he needed to kill these mooks all in one go.
He clicked his Boots of Speed and unleashed arrow after arrow, taking down his enemies with deadly efficiency, until there was no one left. Nevra set him carefully within the watchtower.
Nestian climbed the side of the building nearest his tench and slashed through the nearest soldier. And other tried to shoot him point blank, but got an axe through his sternum in response.
Calio and Talsune flew up, lining up the enemies in the opposite building, and sending a gout of flame at them. The nearest one stepped back to shoot us, but was still within range of Talsune’s blade, and ended up shredded instead.
From his distant perch, Aenland began lining up enemies and sniper shooting them. He picked off four soldiers and two tanks on his own from off the battlefield despite the number of penalties he was firing at from that distance.
Nestian dealt with the last surviving soldier, while Cesseer and Ivan took care of the last remaining troop. Nestian was bleeding heavily from taking some heavy gun fire, and Illivor flew up and kissed his cheek to give him a cure spell Edeya had cast.
Cesseer climbed up out of the trenches—ignoring the barbed wire that snagged her, and started punching out one of the last two remaining living tanks.
The other tank tried to overrun Nestian, Talsune, and Calio. Nestian and Talsune decided to stand their ground and attack the tank. Nestian dug his axe into it, then Talsune slid under it and flipped it up off its treads, his blade stuck into it and sit right through it.
The party reconvened, and examined the entrance to the camp. They realized it was trapped with an electricity trap, and asked Nevra to open it for them since she was immune. She forced the gate open, and they went inside.
First thing they saw was a man being dragged into a building by a woman wearing a full body suit with needles sticking out of it Pinhead style. The man was cursing her and Rasputin, so the party decided they should help a potential ally. Calio got the idea to impersonate Rasputin using the Hat of Disguise to try to talk the woman into leaving the room. So Calio in disguise went into the room by himself with Ivan as his only backup.
The ‘bear hunter’ was not alone in the room with her badly beaten prisoner. She had four enormous dire bears twisted by First World magic and trained to obey and to kill. Still, Calio played off being unsurprised by what he saw, and talked to her as if he was Rasputin and he needed to have ‘a conversation’ with the prisoner. The bear hunter bemoaned that this was going to cut into the bears’ unicycle training time, so Calio told her to go, train her bears. He would deal with the prisoner himself. The bear hunter failed to see through his disguise, and left the room. At first she didn’t see any of the rest of the party hiding around outside, and she began making for another building.
Then at the same time, Aenland sneezed, and Nestian loudly yawned. The bear hunter turned around and saw the two of them, as well at the two Dragonkin just barely out of sight around the corner of the building. She whistled, guiding her bears to attack.
It was the only move she got to make, as half a dozen arrows pierced her body and she fell dead before she could do anything else against the party.
In the building, Calio dropped his disguise before the prisoner would have a chance to start hurling insults at him, and put up a finger to be quiet. It didn’t matter, since a few moments later they heard fighting break out. Calio told Ivan to go join the fighting, then asked the prisoner, Dimitri, if he was going to drop dead or anything if he left him alone for a few minutes to help his friends outside. Dimitri said he was fine now that the Hunter wasn’t seconds away from slitting his throat, although he would appreciate it if Calio would send in someone with bandages and some vodka. Calio told him he’d get…something of the sort.
The necromancer left the room and rounded the corner to find Edeya, and told her that the prisoner was hurt and needed her healing. Then he turned and immediately cast an Inflict Critical Wounds on the nearest bear, which Cesseer had already punched in the snout.
Talsune and Nevra fought together against another bear on their side of the building, until another arrow flew through the air and pierced its skull.
The battle wasn’t yet over, however, as two troops of soldiers joined the battle: one with a flamethrower. Aenland took care of the soldiers in that troop, clearing out their numbers. Nestian ran in with his axe and finished off what was left of that troop, while Cesseer finished off the final bear.
There was screaming from the building Calio had left behind, from both Edeya and Dimitri, as Dimitri freaked out over Edeya’s healing magic and Edeya freaked out over him freaking over.
Once things calmed down they left the building. They began to talk, but suddenly an alarm went off. Dimitri told them they had to take cover. But it was too late. Suddenly Aenland and Nestian were hit by sniper bullets. Cesseer caught a third bullet aimed for her in mid-air. The party realized they were out in the open and vulnerable, and decided to lead Dimitri back to the Dancing Hut. They fled the prison camp, bullets ricocheting off walls and the ground around them as they went.
Behind them, the clouds formed into a humanoid shape. Rasputin taunted them from on high…before asking in confusion why we were running away. Then he laughed and said ‘yes run away cowards’ as if it was totally his plan all along. Calio flipped him the bird, which he said was very rude of Calio, although he congratulated the necromancer on finally making a Dullahan ‘just like you always wanted’—Calio is upset that he’s so consistent.
The party made it back to the chicken hut, which freaked Dimitri out again, because he knew better than to trespass within the home of Baba Yaga. We assured him it was fine, Baba Yaga was missing because of Rasputin, and this was currently our home. He decided Rasputin was worse than Baba Yaga, and he’d take our word for it that it was fine.
Zorka was alarmed to see an Earth human within the Hut, but nothing of note happened on his entering, so it seemed the Hut was fine with him being there.
We settled in, and Dimitri made us a map of the facility, detailing everything he knew about each of the buildings. Including Urgathoa worshipping Nosferatus, gun wielding Bodaks, and a camp of Dullahans with a certain suspicious goat that is totally not the same demon goat who was Pavril’s familiar.
We decided we would make a spiral around the facility, clearing everything until we reached the temple at the center where we would surely face Rasputin himself.
But for now we rest, until the morrow comes.

White Hot Fury || Self - Para
Setting: In Tandem with Nevra and Melissa’s thread HERE Mentions: @msmelissalin @erdogan-nevra @emine--yalaz  Triggers: THE DOG DIES
The text from Melissa Lin that she was coming was one that Kerem had feared for so long.
Something that he had been expecting for so long. He was still convinced that she was going to murder him - that she wanted to make it public so that everyone could see. Maybe he’d be lucky and it’d be quick. Maybe it’d make people want to fight them. But it hadn’t stopped him from doing what he figured would be his lasts.
His last call to his mom - who insisted she was bringing over food for him and Emine that night because she knew that they weren’t feeding themselves properly.
His last time messing with all of his sisters.
His last time having coffee with his Dad - and while Kerem could tell that his father knew that something was going on (the older man had been in the game far too long to not know something was up even if he was retired) the two of them ignored it. To have a last moment of piece.
His last time kissing Emine.
His last time taking Spectre for a walk. He’d been at the park across from his flat when he saw the limo come up, and he figured that he would take the dog inside if he could. There was only one person who would come to Haringey in a limo and the least he could do was make sure that the dog didn’t have to witness whatever was about to go down. He figured he could get Emine to bring Spectre in - and he truly hoped that whatever was going to happen
He had made up his mind a long time ago that he would die for Haringey.
When Benjamin came up to him, it was everything that Kerem could do not to roll his eyes. He knew the type - the too violent, too psychotic, and yet still managed to be a lapdog type. He barely paid the man attention, his eyes fixed on the limo - on the woman............women inside of it.
He had expected Melissa, but he hadn’t expected Nevra. His eyes narrowed at the sight of his ex-fiancée.
It wasn’t that long ago that she was trying to talk him out of fight club, trying to say that she wanted him to stay safe. He had suspected at the time that she was just trying to play with his emotions, to bring him back to when they were together, to when she had him believing that she cared more about him, about their life in Haringey, than she did about money. But this only confirmed the suspicions that he had then - she had been trying to play him. And now here she was, sitting right next to Melissa Lin. Looking like she belonged there.
Like she was the traitor that she continually proved herself to be.
If Nevra wanted him to see her, he wasn’t going to give
He saw the gun move, he prepared himself for the punishment that he knew was coming - but when the shot rang in his ears, it was the scream from Spectre that caught him by surprise. Death for himself? That he had expected to be a given. Death to his dog? That was an special type of evil that he truly didn’t think that the woman would have come up with.
Clearly he had underestimated her.
‘‘This is a message from Melissa.’‘ Benjamin’s words barely comprehended as Kerem was on his knees, nursing his dog as she slowly  ‘‘This was a warning. Double cross the Rutherford’s again, and it’ll cause for more meetings like this.’‘
He knew it was a warning, and Kerem was well aware that she meant it - he had seen it in her glare. But where Melissa probably thought it would subdue him - make him once again want to worship the slavery that she had “so graciously” allowed them - it did the opposite. His anger was going to be a part of him.
It wasn’t just the Rutherfords who were going to pay now. It was Melissa. He was going to find a way to make her hurt the same way.
Or die trying.

Hi, I’m the anon that asked for the whole Nevra reacting to Guardienne coming back and being pregnant while in the crystal prompt 😂 I just wanted to say thank you for writing it, and I hope that it isn’t causing you a massive amount of stress! It’s been over a year now and I’m always pleasantly surprised when I get a notification that you shipped out another part of the fic! I hope this doesn’t come across as me being like. Passive aggressively nudging you about it, but rather, I wanted you to know I really enjoy the work you’re putting out and how I’m grateful for how hard you’ve been working on it. Writing on Tumblr can be thankless and draining, plus you aren’t even being paid for the amount of time you put into it. So thank you for all your efforts!
Tumblr media
OH MY GOD I'M SO GLAD I NOW HAVE AN ANSWER TO THAT LOL
Hi anon!! I didn't really expect to hear from you at all, so this is a very, very pleasant surprise! I'm so glad to know that you're still reading my story ♥
I actually had my own headcanons for a similar scenario before you sent me the request-- and you have no idea how excited I was to finally do something with it! It's like you read my mind.
With total honesty, I'm not used to writing full, multi-chapter stories. I found that my writing style suits short one-shots best. So "An unsung melody" is still a bit of a struggle for me sometimes.
It doesn't help that I'm a full-time student, and my teachers haven't shown me much mercy this last semester (haha, send help please). Still, I've been lucky enough to have the kindest, most patient readers that put up with my erratic upload schedule! I promise I've been taking breaks and am not letting writing the fic overwhelm me. I've been working on the new chapters bit by bit when I have free time, and with a bit of luck the next one will be released very soon ♥
By the way-- I've had a very shitty week and your message made me cry (in a good way, I promise). You're incredibly sweet, and please know that this message meant a lot to me.

"Okay, so I'll have one of those lemon shots please. I was told they were good. What are they called?" Nevra twittered over the bar to the man behind it. The look he gave her was only slightly exasperated but luckily she'd managed to look cute enough that it shifted to kind pity.
"Limoncello, sweetheart. Now I'll warn you, they can bite you in the ass if you're not careful."
It most definitely would and she played into it, giggling and looking up to the challenge. "It's Saturday, I can handle a little bite in the ass. I'll take five please." The bartender guwaffed at the number before turning to prep the drinks.
It wasn't her normal haunt but the Rutherford had a job to do. Gather information on the Sovrani. Giorgio, Giordana, and the person she'd been told would be here tonight, Vincenzo. The boss no less. Why try her luck with the others when she could go right to the source?

@giorgio-pecatti Time: After Party Ayda was heading to the bar to get a round of shots for Nevra and Leyla, leaving them on the dance floor. The show they were putting on was too entertaining to have one of them do it. The Turk has lost count of how many shots they had.
“I’ll take six tequila shots. The best you have.” If it was on the Rutherfords why not. Her body moves to the beat of the song, turning to find someone sitting at the bar. “Having a good night?” Her mood a lot better than earlier.

¡Hola!
No estánen Eldarya y 2.
-      Gracias, a ambas.

EZAREL
It started off with playful kisses during cuddling, a blanket covering both of you from the cold weather. Ezarel likes to be the one initiating the physical touch, and his teasing hand placement turned the situation into his large hands leading your hips up and down his cock.
Even if those actions had him completely amazed and flustered, he tried to keep his eyes open to admire your body, as his hands wandered through it as if trying to record in his mind how the texture of your skin feels like. Your back arched when he started thrusting up his hips against you, a teasing grin spreading on his face as he saw the way his length reached the right spots.
“Ah… just like that..” He gasps, biting his bottom lip and trying so deeply to keep his eyes on you. His cheeks were flushed at the overwhelming feeling. You could feel a spot of pleasure starting to build in your lower stomach, which traveled down to your crotch.
The intense feelings inside of both of you, the growing butterflies. The thought of someone like Ezarel allowing you the privilege to be like this, to make him feel in heaven…
As you continued to ride him, your clenching hole was milking him deliciously, a layer of sweat forming on both of your bodies. “I.. I love you..” You achieved to say in between those gasps that the movements of your body made you release.
Ezarel’s breath got heavier when he heard you say that, trying to find a way to answer back. And as he rested his weight over his elbows, he pulled you closer to him, holding you by the waist as he pressed open mouth kisses to your collarbone and neck. This whole situation was sending you both into a point of no return. It was short after when Ezarel’s whimpers got slightly needier, as his cock twitched and finally he shot every last drop inside of you.
“Oh, sweetheart…” He pants, as he helps you to reach your peak after his. “I love you too.” He whispers, caressing your sides and back lovingly, as he presses small kisses in your jaw and neck. By the expression of ease on his face you could truly say that he meant it.
NEVRA
“Shush, darling” He groans near your ear, biting the lobe as he keeps moving his hips against yours. Even if you protested to not go that far that late at night, you couldn’t help but submit to his sensuous touch and loving words, and not to mention the way he cooed telling you how good you were for him.
The silence in the headquarters made the situation more embarrassing for you, as the hall echoed every single sound at those hours. He made you wrap your legs around his waist, so he could drown his cock deeper inside you. You wish you could scream how good it felt, but you simply drowned your whimpers into your own hand.
He was making a mess in between your legs by the previous rounds, you didn’t even know how long your legs could stand it. He looked down at your body and caressed you, with a little smirk. “Look how pretty you are, my little one…” Nevra licked the skin of your neck, making you shiver from the wet and cold feeling in your skin.
“Fuck, Nevra… I love you…” You groaned as he was busy nibbling on your neck, your hands grabbing at the short hairs of his head. He didn’t hold back to release a deep moan, his pace increasing at how your words fueled his energy. “God, I love you so fucking much…” He whispers, pressing your thighs against your body, making notorious the sounds of skin on skin in the room.
You cried of pleasure as you reached the orgasm thanks to his acts, even if you tried to keep your silent moans. But it was impossible to hold it.
As you both panted heavily due to your peaks, he held you tight against his chest.
What you both didn’t expect was to hear a few knocks on the door after it.
VALKYON
There is nothing more communicative than Valkyon's gaze. During the dinner he had not stopped undressing you with his gaze, how that fabric glued to your body shape, how you smiled and enjoyed the dinner, how your bodies danced on the ball together after the dinner... His hands could not leave your waist and hips, he was obsessed with your beauty. More than once he whispered in your ear how good you looked, as he also kissed your earlobe gently. And when Valkyon is all touchy and bold like that, you know that can mean one thing very clearly.
As you two are making out in his room, the rest of the people in the headquarters are still at the dinner that was happening that night. He loves watching you get yourself off by grinding so needy on his thigh, keeping your underwear pushed to the side so that he can feel the slick trail of your arousal accumulating and wetting his pants.
In a few minutes your clothes were on the floor and you were under his big muscular body, while with both hands he held your wrists on both sides of your head.
Due to his nature, Valkyon’s cock isn’t the smallest. On the contrary, he is big and quite thick. And even if your wet and needy hole was used to having him inside, every time he entered a rush of pleasure and adrenaline spread through all your body. He made you feel filled, and he was able to reach any sensitive spot easily.
In his room echoed the sound of your sweet moans and his heavy breathing. Valkyon wasn't very noisy, plus listening to you only turned him on even more. So as he kept his head buried into the crook of your neck, he kept pounding in a moderate pace into you.
“Valkyon..” you whined in a soft tone, his thrusts sending you slowly into paradise “... ngh.. I love you…” you managed to say this close to his ear, and you felt how the pace stopped, as he kept his hips pressed against yours.
“Oh, angel, you can’t do this to me…” he murmured hoarsely, combing his white hair back with one hand, as he looked down at your eyes and gulped. Then he sighed.  “That’s adorable…” He whispered with a little smile, kissing your lips slowly and in such a way that made your breath hitch. As he kissed you, you could feel how he started thrusting into you slowly but precisely, knowing exactly where to hit to make you melt.
LEIFTAN
Having sex with Leiftan is definitely being worshipped by him until your mind can't take it anymore. Besides the fact that he can feel your emotions, there is nothing else that makes him feel better than the pleasure his actions convey to you, as he also feels it. And for that very reason, knowing that his work between your legs is making you feel so good, he will go on and on until he hears you tell him that you can't take it anymore.
He simply took it upon himself to use his tongue to work wonders on your soaking wet hole. The wet noises were so abundant that you couldn't stop moaning and wished you could cover your ears from embarrassment, but you couldn't as Leiftan was holding both of your hands to intertwine fingers, giving you gentle caresses from time to time.
He sucked your sensitive button, watching your reactions as satisfaction and pride boosted his ego. Watching your expressions was a work of art, and the moment he made you reach your peak, he pulled away and sighed. "How sweet... I could get addicted to the taste of you."
His words, the trembling of your thighs, how you squeezed his hands hard from the orgasm you were still recovering from.... Everything was a factor that helped you to unthinkingly mumble a soft "I love you..." as you closed your eyes to catch your breath.
A soft smile escapes his lips, his face tinged with a blush due to the act in which he had got himself into. He knew you meant it. He spread soft kisses across your abdomen and upward until he reached your neck, taking care not to leave a spot on your body unloved. When he was close to your ear, he whispered "Me too, my love... and so much." He doesn't show you his face but you can deduce that your words have created a positive effect on him, you know that his eyes have crystallized from those very special words.
He gets very sensitive, and those words only help him enjoy the intimacy of the moment. As he buries his head in your neck, trying not to cry from the genuine feeling of happiness. With you he feels at peace, and he intends to take advantage of the moment to make you feel satisfied and loved with his touch and his words.
Expect a lot of praise from now on by him.
LANCE
Just as you had arrived at your room after a long week, you took one of those warm showers to try to relieve that stress. You didn't count on your boyfriend coming to visit you soon though, and he caught you with your towel wrapped tightly around your body. With a small smile he came over to hug you, sighing and burying his face in your neck -to get fed with your scent-, where he began to give you little kisses. They started out delicate, until finally he spent a few seconds sucking on your skin and giving small bites around the area. That alone made you realize that throughout that week you had missed the intimate contact with Lance. You let yourself go with the pleasure, until the towel was lost on the floor.
Leaning back on all four limbs, hiding your head between the pillows to stifle your moans from the sensation of Lance pounding into you with a steady speed that suited what your body could handle. Clearly Lance could increase the passion, but he knew that doing so would cause you to end up exhausted, or even unable to walk afterwards.
“Arch your back for me, sweetheart” he groans as he keeps one hand holding your hip and the other pressing your back down to arch your position. You obeyed, and you could only feel how his cock was hitting better right into your sweet spot. You were close, so close…
“I… I love you..” You gasped, spreading your legs even more due to the intense feeling of his thrusts. But suddenly you had to whine at how the pace stopped, leaving you right on the edge of your orgasm. “U-uh…? Lance, what..?”
He indeed stopped moving, digging his fingers tightly onto your hips. Then he tilted down over you, pressing his body against yours and being aware of how deep he was driving his cock into you by doing that. Then his warm breath reaches your ear and he whispers "Ah, fuck… say it again".
He never heard those three words while having sex, and he never expected it to turn him on so much. He resumes the slow and deep thrusts once again, making you feel every inch of him inside you. He'd be grunting "again.." with each thrust and at some point you will be crying those three words against the pillow.
You probably needed to shower again after that.
MATHIEU
Little did you know that sitting on his lap to watch that movie was going to have consequences. There came a time when you could no longer concentrate on the movie and the sensation of something hard was making itself present against your ass. Mathieu's hands were resting right on your thighs, and you could feel him grabbing them from time to time, slowly massaging up... and down. A sigh escaped his lips, burying his head in your back and mumbling a small "Sorry..."
Oh, he was needy. The moment you adjusted your position, you instinctively rubbed your butt against that bulge that over time seemed painful to him, causing a small whimper to leave his lips.
You agreed to help your dear boyfriend solve that problem, and the movie was definitely ignored the moment you turned to fill his lips and neck with kisses, the screen simply creating a dim light that made the moment even more intimate for you two. The temperature was rising to the point where your clothes were burning and damn, what satisfaction crossed through your veins the moment you were the reason soft moans left his lips.
Your hips accompanied the movement of his thrusts, helping the friction to make you shiver with pleasure. His eyes held back small tears at the intensity of the moment, burying his fingers against the skin of your ass, squeezing from time to time as he felt the tingle so pleasurable reach its length.
Seeing how vulnerable you were making him feel because of the ride, you grabbed the back of his neck with your hand and kissed him again on the jaw, whispering an "I love you". And the moment you said that, his head buried itself against your shoulder and he let out a long moan. "Ah, shit, shit… baby-" you could feel his hips moving urgently against yours, while his eyes could barely stay open "I-I love you so much more..."
This was only the beginning of the night, and every moment of pleasurable peak, his lips would abandon soft "I love you "s as he gives you little kisses at the same time.

Still in Genkaku
Where were we? To sum up:
Our team searched for anything new in a building from Earth. They were divided into 3 groups. Koori's mental health deteriorated because of magic stones, she tried to run away from Gardienne and Edgar, luckily, she was found by Lance, Mathieu and Leiftan (who managed to calm her down a bit). Meanwhile, Erika was tempted to use a portal to Earth she has found, but after some thinking decided she is no longer connected to Earth and humans, she feels more at home on Eldarya where she is an important person. Not a joke, these are quotes. She and Nevra examined portal, took some samples, the rest to team arrived. Nevra finally realized that maaaaybe those stones are not working for Koori:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Erika noticed that Mathieu is enthralled by portal, so she decided what's best for him:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Erika has some thoutghs on Mathieu being shaken by the sight of portal:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
No, but wasn't she feeling the same? That mundane, simple life on Earth is no longer for her? (personal peeve: I kinda liked we could make Erika oposite of Mathieu. He was all about Eldarya, and we could try to make our MC reluctant, and even nostalgic for her Earth life. It seems that writers decided THIS^ is canon from now).
Anyway, draflayels, blah blah. Too many lines about familiars this season. My maana hurts- but no, I take it back! Actually, this conversation was nice. It is followed up by them talking about Earth. Eldarya, a game where your choices matter:
Tumblr media
Since TO I have always picked "I miss home/family/would like to come back options. Good to know it didn't mean a shit. Erika, you stupid, shallow, dumb bedbug:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
... and that is why HH keeps secrets from me. That is why my friends gaslight me. Because I am an importan person!
Still, twas nice conversation, probably the best I got with any LI so far. Their moment was cute, and later discussion about their feelings let me understand Mathieu a bit more. Wish I get something with other LIs...
Edgar joins them and confronts in his timid way about Nevra's earlier plans on leaving him (Edgar) in Genkaku. Erika knew but decided not to share is (hoping she would change Nevra's mind), Mathieu is shocked by this idea. I like Mathieu.
Honestly, I am with Erika with this one. There was really no time to share this info with Koori and Mathieu, not with Edgar being around. He was already panicking, it wouldn't work well:
Tumblr media
Erika is again thinking about being different from Edgar, and wondering why she takes news about portal being dangerous better than him... Maybe it's because it's so fresh for him? It wasn't a sarcasm, it was a quote. We are talking and talking about same things over and over. Using same wording and arguments.
All three of humans burst in laugh. Honestly, unnecessary scene in my opinion, but hey, 20 maana gone so it worked!
And then kitsunes attacked. And shot arrows from the ground, to the roof of building that has- according to Erika over 90 floors. Was is a bow or a  ballista? And again, we focus on familiar. Look, I love my cats. I forget names of my friends' kids, but never their pets. But this season focus too much on familiars, and honestly, it's not good and these lines could be used on something else. Yada, yada, the lil dragon-pet is hurt, Erika hugs him. Use her powers to make a shield. How those arrows fly so high? Higher than the building, because they have to LAND on a roof. Make it make sense, Beemoov. Do you know how archery works? Are they magical bows?
Also: Gardienne doesn't know how to treat wounds, she thinks that Koori would know what to do. Jokes on me, Beemoov, because my Gardienne is in Absinth. The one guard that is known for taking role of alchemists AND paramedics during missions. You know Beemoov, perhaps you shouldn't give us a choice if you already have an idea which Guard she belongs to? Anyway, Edgar, Mathieu and Gardienne runs from roof while being under fire. They came back to portal- and there is no sign of rest of the team. They panic. BTW, there are 90 floors and those arrows still manage to hurt those on a roof. Uh-hu. Erika is doing some logical salto mortale trying to figure out when the rest is (they all wanted to check on those magical archers and discuss discount on those phenomenal bows), but question: couldn't one of them (Leiftan?) come and gather those on a roof? You know, to avoid splitting up? Edgar thinks same. Edgar is too smart for this scenario:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
What? Mathie, seven is not a number if we talk military language. In other words Beemoov, don't drink and write:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aaand that's all for now, folks. I will leave you with those pearls of military knowledge, masterpiece of strategy. Sun Zi who?

Entry 15
The Dominion ship had crashed into Ivoryglass, destroying most of the rooms we otherwise would have been exploring. The only room left was the Golemworks. We decided to check it first, as it was one of the rooms left that might have the other half of the key in it. I hoped it would have the key, as that would mean we wouldn’t have to go into the fleshy pulsating Dominion ship.
But, of course, we weren’t so lucky. All we found in the Golemworks were a bunch of corpses Yrax had planned on mashing together into a carrion golem, and some potentially useful scrolls.
Which meant we had to enter the Dominion Dropship if we wanted to keep looking for the key.
Or ‘go in through the butthole’ as Aenland so eloquently put it.
Not an image I needed in reference to a Dominion ship. Mind breaking horrors are not high on my list of creatures whose asses I want to play with.
Regardless, we entered the ship. There was a godsawful alarm blaring, and an alert going off in the Dominion’s native tongue warning of potential intruders. I told the others that they’d be expecting us, since I was pretty sure none of them understood it—I only did since I still had Tongues going.
There were two doors in, and given the size of the ship it seemed reasonable to assume they both led to the same place. We decided to split up and pincer whoever—whatever—was inside.
I joined Aenland on the lefthand side with Greta, while Nestian and Edeya took the right.
…Looking back, I’m glad I decided to take the same side as Aenland. I just did it on a whim, there wasn’t any real plan behind following Aenland instead of Nestian. But I made the right choice, none-the-less.
Aenland and Nevra swooped inside first. They went out of sight for a moment. I heard the telltale crackle of electricity, and the fwip of arrows. Then I heard an unfamiliar sound—similar to the lightning, but different. More intense, somehow. And then Aenland cried out. He sounded severely hurt.
Greta charged forward, around the corner. I followed suit, Talsune flapping under the door then swooping up over Greta’s head. In the room there was a horrible incorporeal mass of tentacles emitting an otherworldly aura. There was a purple lumpy creature with four spindly legs, a single tentacle tipped in a stinger, and four bulbus masses at the end of stalks on its back that held brains. And there was a large vat of what appeared to be a brightly colored ooze.
And there was Aenland, holding a gaping wound in his stomach where a hole had been blasted right through him.
Talsune finished taking a slice at the mass of tentacles and I threw a Flame Strike at the ooze and the purple creature, trying to clear the way to Aenland. But then said spindly legged creature—which looked like it was already on its last legs with half a dozen arrows jutting out of it—pointed its tentacle at Aenland and cast an unfamiliar spell. Whatever it cast, Aenland’s eyes immediately widened, then went dark—the bright purple sheen over them faded to black, and Aenland fell. There was no breath in his lungs.
I didn’t need to be an expert on the dead to know a corpse when I saw one.
Nevra immediately scooped him up, cradling his body protectively from the enemies.
I already had plans formulating in my head, my hand reaching for the bag of holding.
I barely registered Nestian and Edeya entering the room on the other side of the hall, fighting the other mass of tentacles, seeing Aenland’s body from afar.
I barely registered when that ooze in a can shot a powerful beam of fire and electricity at Nestian—which would explain the strange electrical sound I’d heard before. Nestian took the shot head-on like a champ, like he always does, but it still must have hurt. I could smell singed fur, even from the other side of the room.
I barely registered Nevra turning on the bulbous purple creature, cutting off its single tentacle, and then spearing it straight through—dead. A fitting end for the thing that had killed her partner.
Talsune and I were flying just within reach of her. I reached down to Nevra, and called out, telling her to lift Aenland up to me. She did as I asked without question. I didn’t have enough time to think through what I was doing—I was on a tight time limit with this spell. I read the spell off the scroll, holding the scroll in one hand and holding out my other hand to Aenland, trusting Talsune to keep me on his back. I felt the burn on my fingertips of positive energy, as if I were holding my hand up to the sun itself as the magic turned from the deep blacks and purples of negative energy to the bright gold of positive energy. Talsune snarled beneath me in reaction, feeling it through me as well. But it had to be done.
I cast the Breath of Life scroll. The positive energy flowed into Aenland’s lungs, and a moment later he gasped in a breath of his own. He was still badly hurt—very badly hurt—but he was alive. That’s what mattered.
Aenland thanked me, and I wasn’t quite sure how to respond. I wonder if this is how he felt when I tried to thank him for saving me and Edeya from the Crone Queen back in the heart of the Dancing Hut, and he said of course he did it, because we’re friends. Like it was the most natural thing in the world to do. I thought the entire notion was ridiculous at the time, because at the time I found Aenland impossible to stand. I suppose now…it holds some merit.
Anyways, there was no time for that just then. We were still in the middle of combat. Nestian attacked one of those tentacle creatures—which I identified as Neshmaal. A moment later Aenland was back in the fray and popped both of the Neshmaal, before Nevra made the executive decision to retreat out of the room before the ooze could train its beam on the severely weakened archer.
It aimed at me instead.
Thank the gods, it must not have gotten a clear shot as it recalculated its aim from Aenland’s fleeing form to me and Talsune, as it just grazed me, and only some fire flicked harmless across Talsune’s scales.
Nestian and Greta began slashing at the vat that held the ooze, while I retaliated with another Flame Strike. Nevra flew back into the room, zipping around the corner into the Captian’s Quarter’s for cover before breathing lightning at the ooze’s vat, followed by Aenland’s arrows. The container cracked and shattered, leaving the ooze that was the heart of the Dominion ship free.
The ooze tried to cast a spell on me—touch of idiocy—and used its other tendrils to try to smash Nestian and Greta. Only Nestian failed to dodge, standing his ground against the large tendril smashing down on him. The ooze held its spell charge, but for the time being it didn’t touch me.
That was all the time I needed. We threw everything we had at it, and a moment later the ooze lost its form and melted away.
We found the other half of the amulet that made the key to the illusory wall. I took it, and we left that awful undulating room.
When I put the pieces of the key together and held it up to the wall, nothing visibly changed about the wall itself. It was still an illusory wall. But when I placed a hand on it, it passed through thin air. As any normal illusion would once you know the trick.
We passed through the wall and found ourselves in the antechamber just outside of Yrax’s true throne room. Unfortunately it was also the disposal pit. Three pillars of ice stood vigilant around the room—which we quickly identified as frozen Elder Water Elementals. And there was something churning within the disposal pit, which we couldn’t see, although we’d heard others say something about some type of ooze.
The elementals knew that their element (ha) of surprise was lost, so they burst from the ice and attacked.
As we fought off the elementals, a white ooze bubbled its way out of the disposal pit. Aenland tried to shoot it with an arrow, but all that did was caused it to split in half. Nestian’s axe had the same effect. Aenland had cleared out a couple of the water elementals, but now we were in a room of rapidly multiplying oozes. I decided to clear the numbers a bit with something I was sure wouldn’t split them, and cast a mass inflict light wounds. Two of the smaller white oozes burst from the negative energy instantly, leaving only the larger half to contend with. Greta took care of the water elemental while Aenland took the Adamantine Warhammer from his bag and smashed the last ooze, leaving the room silent.
Not for long. A moment later the ice above us shimmered, and once again Yrax’s ugly scaled face took up the reflective ice roof, looking down on us. He said, as a gracious host, he would let us leave, even now after all the trouble we’d caused. We could just walk away. Obviously we laughed in his face at the very idea.
Nestian brought up that he was holding our friend hostage. Yrax asked if we meant Cesseer. He called her to his side. She gave us a cold look, but it was a practiced coldness, and she was unarmed besides her sword—all the rest of her equipment was in my bag of holding. She hadn’t come here prepared to defeat us. She wanted us to save her, just like she’d told me. Anything else was just a ruse for Yrax’s sake.
I wanted to warn her about what he might be planning to do to her—maybe even give her an out for her contract if what he was doing was horrible enough to breach it, I didn’t know how Battleflower contracts worked. So I asked Yrax if he’d told ‘his Battleflower’ about what he’d been doing to the other Battleflowers. Yrax had a moment of confusion, then laughed, noting I meant the Dominion’s experiments. Then he, to Cesseer’s face, told her that he’d been giving weaker Battleflowers to the Dominion to use in their experiments.
‘But don’t worry, they weren’t as strong as you are.’
Bastard. Twisted lunatic. If I didn’t swear to Norgorber to kill him, I’d swear to any other god who would listen. That dragon’s head was mine.
While I stewed, Aenland noted that Yrax was scared of us. Yrax refused to acknowledge the notion, and cut the spell short, inviting us to try to fight him if we were so confident.
So we did. We stepped into the next room, and saw the dragon face-to-face for the first time. He was perched on a wall of ice high above us, with Cesseer on one side, and the Bone Sage removing some sort of tube of nasty looking liquid—a similar color to the Dominion ship’s ooze, I think—from his back.
Aenland and Nestian had words for the dragon—very inspirational things about how we were going to defeat him and end his reign, or about how he was a bad host, or something I’m sure. I felt that the blowhard warlord was beneath me. I focused my attention on Cesseer instead. With my telepathy, so that Yrax would be none-the-wiser, I assured her ‘We’re going to get you out of here’.
Yrax roared, and smashed something on the ground. It was an object we’d seen elsewhere in Ivoryglass—a golden egg filled with blood. Smoke billowed out, and there was a terrible flesh rending noise, and when it cleared the white dragon no longer stood perched above us. Instead a far more massive dragon with pulsing marks the same color as the liquid he’d been pumped full of—the same color as the ooze controlling the Dominion’s ship—stood above us, with the Bone Sage riding astride his back. The way they moved so perfectly in sync with each other, it was clear that they had artificially created the same bond between themselves that Dragonkin have with their riders. A bond created through a mutual desire to dominate and destroy.
The thing about Yrax, and most chromatic dragons—he’s plenty powerful, but he doesn’t know how to use any of it. He’ll just take over a plot of land, force some servitor race into doing his bidding, and then sit on a hoard of treasure and call it a day until someone with a sharper sword comes in and slays him for sitting in the wrong spot. Dragons always think they’re at the top of the food chain, and never plan ahead for when they aren’t.
In short, Yrax was a blunt instrument. Unfortunately, that instrument was now being directed by the Bone Sage, which made him a legitimate threat. The Bone Sage was an actually cunning opponent, unlike the self-proclaimed Lord of the Howling Storm. With the Bone Sage’s mind directing Yrax’s raw power, this was suddenly a far more dangerous fight than we’d come prepared for.
That obviously didn’t stop us. Even if Baba Yaga’s geass would have let us turn tail and run, we weren’t leaving Cesseer in his clutches. I wasn’t leaving Cesseer in his clutches. Not when he’d bragged to her face about how he’d let the Dominion hollow out her fellow Battleflowers and use them as puppets, as casually as if he’d been discussing the weather.
Yrax and the Eoxian flew over us. The Bone Sage cast a spell, and in a massive burst dispelled many of the spells we’d had on us in preparation for this fight—putting us on our back foot from the start. Then Yrax breathed in and let out a burst of icy breath that made an Irriseni winter seem positively balmy. Then he strained himself, pulling energy from the Bone Sage to move unnaturally fast back to his perch.
In the same moment, Cesseer vanished from her spot at his side, and reappeared in front of Nestian. I saw her mouth ‘I’m sorry’ before she went to kick him in the stomach. But our bear friend stepped aside. Then he dodged around a second attack as he completely ignored her and drew his axe to fight one of Yrax’s remaining loyal Dragonkin riders instead.
Aenland looked at Cesseer, then flew with Nevra past her, making a beeline for Yrax and the Bone Sage. As he did, I heard him through the Stone of Farspeech. He warned me that there was an Intellect Devourer on her back, poised to strike her neck the second she went down.
Like fuck there was.
As Aenland began trying to lay into the dragon and his undead rider, I telepathically reached out to Cesseer again. As I cast See Invisibility on myself with a scroll I’d been saving for…months now, probably…I told her not to panic, but that one of those experiments Yrax had mentioned was on her back right now. Then I quickened an Inflict Light Wounds, pushed her head aside, and touched the disgusting brain-like monstrosity instead. It reeled in surprise at having been seen and injured.
Using my senses to detect where the invisible monstrosity was, Talsune followed up with a slash through the surprisingly tough alien creature.
On my shoulder, Illivor flared out her wings, using the reflective glittery quality of her fairy-dragon body to our advantage to try to distract Cesseer and keep me from getting punched in the face too much.
I saw the awful brain-thing begin making movements as if to cast. I couldn’t get a good purchase to stab into it, its rubbery hide was too thick, but Talsune brought his blade down on the creature and it spasmed and lost the spell it was about to cast in my general direction.
I heard a distant crash as Yrax threw himself against the wall. I glanced up just long enough to note that Aenland was no longer on Nevra’s back. But I couldn’t focus on that just then. I had to trust that Aenland would take care of himself this time, or that someone else would get him out of whatever pinch he was in, because I had to keep my full focus on Cesseer and that Intellect Devourer on her back.
Cesseer told me she wished this could have been in any other context, before she swung a kick at me—and missed. Then a punch—another miss. It continued like this. She was fighting defensively—far more defensively than was necessary against the likes of me. It was obvious that she was pulling her punches. Not obvious enough to get through Yrax’s thick skull, it would seem, as he yelled at her to fight better, completely oblivious that it was a purposeful ruse. The Bone Sage seemed less than amused at the stupidity, which probably felt contagious with their minds linked like that.
Talsune struck the brain monster on Cesseer’s back again. I decided I’d had enough of this thing. I cast Slay Living, and let the black fires engulf the Intellect Devourer.
Yet still, somehow it clung to life. So I called on one final Quickened Inflict Light Wounds. I grabbed the creature. For a moment it felt like the spell wasn’t going to take against the force of its resistance—so I threw in the last of my power as the Black Rider for the day and forced the spell through. I pulled the Intellect Devourer off Cesseer’s back, whispering to her as I did: ‘I promised you everything would be okay’.
The brain-like monstrosity decayed away and turned to dust in my hand, not even a skeleton left.
The moment was ruined when Aenland was violently punched to the ground from over a hundred feet above our heads, somehow managing to roll to his feet despite leaving an impressive crater in the ground where he’d impacted.
Then from out of the left of my vision, Nestian barreled in and grabbed Cesseer. He told me to go and help the others, and he’d take care of things here. After what just happened to Aenland, I knew my remaining spells would be best spent elsewhere, so I agreed and strode into the center of the battlefield. Aenland had pulled himself back up and onto Nevra’s back, flying up into the air so his partner could breath a burst of lightning at both rider and dragon. A strange cracked barrier absorbed the blow. Then Aenland began shooting arrows, until the barrier broke and the remaining arrows found purchase in the Bone Sage’s flesh.
I snapped a bone in my fist and tried to shatter Yrax’s great draconic bones, but he resisted the worst of it, his bones creaking and bending but never quite shattering. At the same time, Talsune flew over my head and swooped in at Yrax to try a hit and run attack—unfortunately his sword clashed against hard scales, sending sparks flying but not doing any real damage. He flew back a safe distance.
Over my shoulder I saw Greta run in to help Nestian. She transformed into her wolf form, placing a paw on Cesseer to press her into the ground and keep her in place. I wondered if Greta was getting any amusement from holding down my ex-lover.
My attention was drawn back to Yrax and the Bone Sage, as the Eoxian once again dispelled a number of spells on us—nothing from me this time, as all the magic on me had already been used up or dispelled. Then Yrax breathed out another deadly cold breath. Fortunately, Aenland was the worst off of the people caught in it, and he’d had Protection from Energy: Cold cast on him before we went into this fight, so he came out no worse for the wear.
Aenland peppered the Bone Sage with arrows again, and I grabbed him with Boneshaker and tried to rip him apart—but he used a power that looked strikingly similar to when we use the Black Rider’s power to hold himself together.
Then Illivor popped her head out from around Edeya’s neck—where she’d moved to once I was no longer facing down Cesseer. She flapped her shiny little wings and shot out a magic missile, hitting the Bone Sage and breaking apart the power that was holding him together, letting my Boneshaker rip him apart.
All that was left was Yrax.
The dragon laughed, saying he’d planned on betraying the Bone Sage anyways, so this tied up loose ends for him.
Yrax was low enough to the ground for Nestian to charge him in the flying cauldron, and cut into him with his axe.
Aenland shot a flurry of arrows at the overgrown dragon, holy arrows tearing through wings and cracking through scales.
Yrax bellowed out a roar and that same power I’d seen the Bone Sage coalesced around him, allowing him to move with unnatural speed as he lashed out at Nestian.
Not fast enough, as I caught him with Boneshaker, and tried to force the great beastly dragon to bow before me. The stubborn creature resisted. And then there was a ripping, tearing, gristly noise of flesh opening up as his skull and part of his spinal cord were ripped clean from his body.
He never bowed, for all the good it did him.
I was dusting off my clothes and considering if it would actually be possible to take his skull as a souvenir or if I should just take a tooth, when Cesseer jovially challenged us to race to Yrax’s hoard before she immediately teleported herself up on top of that big wall of ice and began running for the huge metal doors in the back of the room. I yelled after her that she was cheating. Talsune had already swooped down to my side without me needing to call for him, and I leapt on his back and began to race after her. The others, in their various methods, weren’t far behind.
Then we all stopped dead as we entered into a room filled with more treasure than any of us had ever seen in our lives. At least, as far as I remember I’d never seen this much treasure in my life. It was a true dragon’s hoard. Piles of coins: gold, silver, copper, even platinum. Rare art, fine jewels and jewelry, rare and obscure objects of incredible value. A huge chunk of adamantine. Just a big chunk of it, like a big dense reflective metallic rock.
And, of course, there was the bear-skin rug. The key to the next location the Dancing Hut was to take us to in our search for Baba Yaga.
As we left the treasure hoard, we also searched the dragon and the Bone Sage for their possessions. Obviously, I took the Grip of Death—that strange technological spinal wand that the Bone Sage had used to throw Aenland backwards and rip out a piece of his soul the first time we’d fought. It might only have 1 charge left, but it would be well worth it when I found a use for it. Besides it just fits my aesthetic.
The Bone Sage also had a strange device on him with a large red button. As we didn’t know what it did, we initially left it alone. However as we spoke, the ground beneath us began trembling again and we were knocked from our feet. The Crimson Worms were still making their way steadily towards the Winter Collector. We couldn’t make it to them—and even if we could, we were in no shape to fight two Dominion-touched Crimson Worms. We were running on fumes after that fight. I was completely out of my most powerful spells—and I was almost completely out of Boneshakers too. After that all I’d have were some inflict spells and that’s it. Edeya was in a similar place expect replace powerful death magic with powerful healing magic. Aenland was still badly hurt, too. We were in no position to go hunting down two worms that were far more deadly than the two that very nearly did Talsune in in the caverns beneath this very fortress.
Cesseer noted that surely if the Dominion had released them, they had back up plans for uncase the worms went rogue. I noted that if that were the case, then the Bone Sage had likely had it on his person. The others were about to go through his stuff again, but I had already made up my mind about what the correct course of action was. I pressed the red button on the device the Bone Sage had held.
We heard two very distant noises, like heavily muffled explosions. The rumbling stopped. Aenland declared that they must have been summoned creatures, and that button sent them back to their home plane. I knew that was definitely not how that worked, and if that sound was anything to go off of, the two worms had probably exploded in a gory mess miles below the surface of the ice. But Aenland didn’t need to know that, so I didn’t correct him.
With treasures packed away, enemies defeated, and Cesseer saved, we made our way out of Ivoryglass and back towards our waiting allies.

When They Are Jealous
Tumblr media Tumblr media
NEVRA
Ever since the fromer shadow leader became a member of the light guard, he started taking advantage of his new position. What does that mean? It means that whenever you are assigned to a mission he considers a bit too dangerous, he makes sure to tag along. You like to tell him that it bothers you, but it obviously doesn't. It's actually pretty cute of him, especially because he'll never ever admit that he is going because he's worried about you, he always comes up with an excuse.
Today's mission consisted on monitoring a little town that had been problematic for the las couple of months. You were supposed to go undercover in order to get information. Right now, you guys were on a tavern, where most of the people of interest regarding the mission are supposed to reunite every night. The plan was that both of you would start a chat with people in the tavern innocently in an attempt of getting important information.
As you were sitting in front of the bar, a man approached you, wanting to treat you to a drink. "No, thanks." You said. You would've accepted for the sake of the mission, but the man gave you a weird vibe. "Come on, beautiful. I promise I don't bite." (No, but the gentleman sitting on that table back there does) You thought, thinking of Nevra. Once again, you rejected the offer. The man suddenly grabbed your arm and pulled you closer to him. "I said we'll have a good time." In the blink of an eye, the vampire appeared in front of you, sending the man flying across the tavern. The mission was now compromised. "Run." He said, and that's what you did.
You got out of the tavern as quickly as you could and stopped at a dark alley to take a breath. Suddenly, you felt an arm on your waist, and turned around violently, with a dagger in your hand. "It's me." The vampire said. You regained your composure slowly, Nevra cupping you face with his hands. What he did at the tavern was not like him at all, he would never risk a mission like that. "Are you okay?" He asked, and you nodded in response. The man left out a sigh of relief and placed a kiss on your forhead as he gave you an apologetic look. "It's over. We can't stay here any longer, It's time to go back." He was furious, you could see it, but you had never felt more safe.

LANCE
Dating the last dragon in the world, who also happens to be the leader of the obsidian guard, typically meant that the one who had to deal with jealousy was you. Seriously, this guy is like the Brad Pitt of Eel.
However, today was a little different. Lance had asked you to help him out with training some new recruits, a bunch of young men who wanted a new start and decided to join the guard. The training was going pretty well, Lance was doing pretty much all of the work, but at least you were giving him emotional support.
As the session went on, the recruits started to get a bit tired, so you decided it was necessary to remind them that they are not supposed to fall asleep yet. "Alright everyone, give me 30 push-ups. This isn't over yet." Tragically (for him) one of the guys decided to shoot his shot. "I can do them over you if you'd like me to, love." You should probably be upset at the individual, but to be honest, you were actually a bit scared for him. This wasn't gonna end well.
Now, Lance is not necessarily someone who lacks confidence, except when it comes to you. It's all due to the fact that you both have a very complicated history, it already surprises him that you were not only able to forgive him, but to love him as well. Besides, he must admit that the fact that this guy is technically closer to being your age than he is bothers him a bit. Seven years asleep is quite a long time. The dragon is one to keep his compousure at all times, but he was not having it today.
"I do comprehend that your youth might be keeping you from comprehending that your comment makes you much more annoying than it makes you attractive." The dragon began. "Why don't you run a hundred times around the compund to get it into your head?" You swear that you saw the guy's face turn white as Lance gave him the most terrifying look you had ever seen him make.
Hours after the training, you both saw the same guy at dinner again, and your boyfriend didn't miss the opportunity to pull you into a kiss right in front of him.

EZAREL
I would be lying if I told you that he's not the jealous type. He's arguably one of the most jealous guys here, the thing is, he's incredibly good at pretending he doesn't give a shit. He's way too proud to let you know that he's somehow insecure. Everyone has a limit, though.
You and your boyfriend were walking around the city, this was the first time in a while that you could go out in a sort of date without Ezarel's job getting in the way. Everything was going great until some bold civilian decided to approach you. "Excuse me but I couldn't help but stare at such a pretty face." Before you could say anything, the elf spoke. "Well, then go stare somewhere else, and please try to avoid any mirrors on the way." You didn't know what was worse, what he said, or the wide smile he said it with. "Oh, I apologize. I didn't realize that you were a couple, especially since she's way out of your league." Oh no. The smile on Ez's face only got wider and much more mischevious as he prepared himself to play this game.
"Oh my,~ how brutal! I couldn't possibly ever even imagine how hard it must be to have so much confidence in your shoes! I wish I could be more like you!" He pretended being incredibly devastated. With a loud fake sigh of resignation, the elf grabbed you by the waist and guided you away from the man who was now about to explode from anger.
"What a clown!", He said. "I should have turned him into a frog; I will the next time. Anyway, that would be a bad idea. He would have a chance with you if I did that. Creatures of the same species always have better chimestry." Again, the elf pretended being devastated... Until you started hitting him with your bag, that is. Ezarel was hard to understand, but you had no doubt that he loved you.
