( okay so i’m thinking the httyd/rotg crossover verse on this blog is rather simplistic? so apparently the norse/viking folklore name of jack frost was jokul frosti, and ofc, being a viking, hiccup believes, so he can see jack and interact with him. toothless as well, since being a dragon likely means that he has a greater sense of the supernatural than the average human. )

@worldly-diversity whispered: Jack tended to stick to his 'home', the place he'd first woken up, but sometimes he got renewed hope and wanderlust, and he'd ask the wind to carry him somewhere new. They'd flown farther north than usual, but not to the pole he noticed, which was a little odd because he normally only went north to bother, well, North. But not this time it seems. Instead he stumbled as the wind dropped him off in a village he hadn't even known was there... It was inhospitable and cold in a way that had nothing to do with the weather, but there was something weird too... He didn't know what until a dragon suddenly jumped out at him. "Gaah!" He tumbled over in the shock of it, staring with wide eyes at the creature, beautiful black scales and big eyes... "Wait, you can see me?" Animals usually could, but they never really went out of their way about it either, they never pinned him down with interest like this before. Blinking, he noticed something even weirder. The dragon was wearing a harness, and from that harness... A person? Has the world gone crazy or is he just dreaming. "... I swear if this is Sandy playing a prank on me he won't know what hit him..." Is he pouting? Absolutely. || Jack Frost to Hiccup
✮*•̩̩͙✧•̩̩͙*˚✧*˚ IT WAS CHILLIER than usual this morning, and Toothless had woken him up at least an hour or so earlier than usual to go flying. The more they did this, the more evident it became that the dragon missed his independence, the ability to venture out on his own and fly in ways that the small human probably wouldn’t be able to keep up with. Then again, it almost felt as though Toothless did his own thing on their flights ... and, not to mention the fact that he had destroyed the tail he made for him, the one that allowed him to fly on his own, the previous Snoggletog. To Hiccup that was a sign that the dragon was truly growing close to him, enjoying the relationship they had while in the air.
Except this time, something felt a little off when he could hear the Night Fury growling, wings folding to his sides as he glided towards the ground. ❝ Wh-Whoah ... ! Toothless! Slow down there, bud! ❞ Alarm was coursing through his system, and he gave a sudden grunt when the force of something that seemed like another body slammed against Toothless’ front, and he quickly hopped off of the dragon to see if the victim was okay. ❝ Hey, I’m so sorry about him, are you all right? ❞ He held out his hand, but he had to pause once he realized the other’s features. That outfit ... the cloak ... the staff ... the pale white hair and icy blue eyes ... ❝ Wait ... hold on a second ... y-you’re ... you’re Jokul Frosti ... what in Thor’s name are you doing here? And how come I can see you?! ❞
