Locations Task
For this task we are asking that threads take place in some of of our many locations! We would like for each character to have at least two threads, and at least one with a character they have not interacted with often before.  We have a lot of locations to choose from and we think that the locations themselves could make for some fun prompts! We would prefer that you guys think outside of the box a little and go beyond the usual cafe/diner/bar threads. Have some fun with this! You will have ten days to get all of your threads started, and we ask that these threads are not dropped! Thank you all so much, and we hope that you enjoy this task!

@chvndlcr | Rison Country Club
Lilah was brimming with excitement, she always was at weddings but this being a close friend of hers, she was all the giddier. When she was asked to perform with her troop at the wedding, she didn’t think twice before accepting however now more than ever she was questioning why she’d requested professional dancers in the slightest. But being given the opportunity to dance, she wasn’t going to turn it down. Taking a deep breath as she stepped away from the dancefloor, motioning to the others that she was going to get a drink before trailing away fanning herself.

INTERVIEW BELOW:
@nycrp
TW: death
1.       How does your muse react to others breaking the law? If they would do it themselves, what is their reasoning?
Charlotte shrugs. “Everyone’s got a reason with committing something that’s against the law. But if it involves hurting or killing someone, that’s where my line is.” She sits up straight before answering the second question. “It would be something personal, or it’s because my boss has paid me to.”
2.       If your muse was the only person around and someone was injured, would they help? Would they have the experience needed?
“Well, regardless of issues I have with this person, if we ever do, I’ll still help them,” she says with a nod. “It depends, since I can clean and bandage wounds, and pop a shoulder back. I’ve done that before.”
3.       What does your muse think of wealthy people? Do they resent them, or do they believe they earned what they have?
“I don’t really care that much about wealthy people, unless they fuck up the lives of innocent people, that’s some fucked up shit, you know? And well, some really earned it, some didn’t, I know we all know that for a fact.”
4.       Does your muse have a loud personality or a quiet one? Do they enjoy being the center of attention, or would they rather watch and listen?
“Depends on who I’m with, but mostly I just like being quiet,” she shrugged. “I’d rather watch people, observe, and listen. I do get to know them more.”
5.       How does your muse feel about the state of the world? Could it be better? Could it be worse?
“It’s not doing any good right now, and it’s fate is in our hands. But in the world that I’m in right now, it could be much worse, it could be better, it’s just how you look at it.”
6.       What is your muse’s relationship like with their father? Is it good, bad, or complicated?
Charlotte takes a deep breath, rubbing her palms against her jeans before answering the question. “My father was one of the best people I’ve ever knew, he always’ wanted what’s the best for us. We had a tight relationship, we were like…like best friends you know?
7.       What is your muse’s relationship like with their mother? Is it good, bad, or complicated?
“My mother’s the best in so many ways. She gives me and my father the care more than we ever need, and I love her so much for that.”
8.       What is your muses relationship like with their siblings? Who do they get along with best?
“I’m an only child. My parents honestly only wanted a girl, that’s all.”
9.       Does your muse believe in an afterlife? What do they think it’s like?
“I don’t know what to say about it, to be honest,” she chuckles lightly. “But from what my mother has told me, if you die, you get to live another life as someone, something else.”
10.   Does your muse feel like they need to do things quickly or do they take their time?
“If I had a time limit, I would do things quickly but carefully so I could finish it on time. If it’s something that could be done without it, then I would do it by taking my time.”
11.   How often does your muse think about death? Do they think about it at all?
“I do think about it especially when I’m alone, or when I’m on the job,” she says admittingly. “It’s either about my own death or someone else’s.”
12.   How would your muse react to losing their father? How would they cope?
“I saw him die. I couldn’t stop dreaming about it up to this day, and I honestly don’t know how I’m coping with it, even though it has been so many years.”
13.   How would your muse react to losing their mother? How would they cope?
“I already lost my father, I can’t lose my mother too, not this early in my life, you know?”
14.   How would your muse react to losing a best friend? How would they cope?
“It would break my heart. I would honestly feel like shit for a long time but I think I’ll move on.”
15.   How would your muse react to losing a romantic partner? How would they cope?
“Have you ever felt that heavy pang on your chest? Try feeling it for the longest time in your life. But I do cope by distracting myself with my work.”
16.   How does your muse handle their emotions? Do they bottle them up or pour them out as soon as they start to feel?
“I’m honestly not good with talking about or dealing with my emotions, so mostly I just bottle them all up. That’s it.”
17.   How does your muse feel about people who cheat? Do they see a reason for it, or is it completely immoral?
“Cheating is immoral. It’s wrong. Next question.”
18.   Would your muse make a wish on a star? If so, what would they wish for?
“I’d just wish for my father to be still alive. I miss him so much.”
19.   Does your muse celebrate their birthday? If yes, how do they celebrate? If no, why not?
“I do celebrate it by either doing my work or just be at the bar drinking alone. All night.”
20.   How does your muse feel about their body? Would they change it if they could?
“I’m contented with what I have. I’m happy with it.”
21.   How does your muse feel about gender roles? Do they conform to them, or do they play by their own rules?
“Dude, fuck gender roles. It doesn’t define who you are, do whatever the fuck you want as long as it doesn’t harm anyone.”
22.   What would your muse change about their lives if they could and why? What do they wish their lives were like now?
“I would want my father back to life. Maybe then I’ve already graduated in college and got the refrigerator him and my mom have always jokingly asked me about.”
23.   In a perfect world, where would your muse want their life to be in five years?
“I would be organizing my own car show, or have finally achieved some nice career. I don’t really know.”
24.   What is your muses sexuality? How did they come to realize this and how do they feel about it? Are they open about it? Has it been difficult for them?
“Sorry boys, I play for the other team, and I’m fucking proud of it. It took me some time to finally be honest with myself and who I really am.”
25.   What are three issues/causes your muse feels are incredibly important? What draws them to feel so strongly about these things?
“This climate change, the fucking wall this idiot president wants to build and separating children from their parents. It’s just—it’s so many fucking ways of fucked up right now, you know? Climate change going nuts on us, and also that orange president is nuts, don’t you think?”
26.   What genres of entertainment/music does your muse prefer and why? Are there genres they avoid or strongly dislike? If so, why?
“I do like music very much, I could listen to anything, as long as the lyrics ain’t trash and it doesn’t harm anyone, we’re all good, man.”
27.   What hobbies or skills does your character have and how important are they to their life? Is it something they spend a lot of time on? Why or why not?
”Anything that involves cars, count me in. I love working on and admiring them. They’re such pieces of art.”
28.   What is your muse’s very best memory and why?
“Just the days when my dad used to teach me how to drive, he was one of the best teachers.”
29.   What is your muse’s very worst memory and why?
“My father’s death. I don’t think I need to elaborate why.”
30.   Has your muse ever been in love? If so, what was it like for them? If they haven’t, what do they imagine it’s like?
“Yes, I’ve been in love, a couple of times. It was honestly an extraordinary and an excruciating feeling at the same time.”
31.   If they had to pick a movie to represent their life, what would it be? And why?
“Baby Driver. But I’m a bit different from Baby, he just got caught in it. I wanted this.”
32.   What would be three songs to the soundtrack of your muses life?
“Hit and Run by LOLO, Under Pressure by Queen, and uhm…I Ran (So Far Away) by A Flock Of Seagulls. I love those songs.”
33.   Do your muse have any bad habits? If so, what are they, and does your muse plan to get rid of them?
“The way I handle emotions, dude. Feelings. I’m not really great with those kind of shit.”
34.   How does your muse react to confrontation? Would they give anything for a quiet life or do they enjoy winning an argument or a fight?
“I’m not good with confrontations, it’s just as bad as how I deal with feelings. I’d rather be in a quiet life. But I try sometimes, you know?”
35.   What was your muse like in high school? What clique did they best fit in with, if any?
“Honestly, I was kind of a loner. I don’t like they clique thing sometimes, you all just end up stabbing each other on the back.”

NYCPD Questioning { emmy paxton }
Tumblr media
1. What is your name, age, and current address?
Emmy shifted in the steel chair, keeping her eyes on the overweight and balding detective. “Emmy Paxton. Twenty-Six and I live in Brooklyn. You don’t need to know where I live, detective. Unless.... you want to take me to dinner.”
2. How did you find out about The White party?
She couldn’t help but let out a breath that resembled a laugh more than anything. “My step-sister threw it.  Looks like you should’ve done your research. Isn’t the goal to to catch me off guard?”
3. Did you know anyone there?
Emmy knew better than to say anything. Being Ryan’s right hand for so long meant that when he wasn’t around, she had to handle things. “Of course I did. I just said my step-sister threw the party.”
4. How long were you at the party?
A smirk fell on the girls red lips, narrowing her eyes at the detective. “Not long. I had better things to do.”
5. Were you consuming anything at the party? Alcohol, food, drugs?
Rolling her eyes, Emmy fixed the cuff of her long sleeve shirt. “Since you know my age, you know that I can legally drink. It’s not hard to assume that I had a couple drinks. But drugs? I don’t do drugs officer.”
6. Did you partake in any physical interaction(s) with anyone? If so, who?
“Well now that you mention it,” a wicked smile fell on her lips. “I did start talking to this one man and then I ended up going home with him. I would give you details... but I’d rather you not get off in front of me.”
7. Do you have any knowledge about the underground criminal activity that occurred at the party?
“What underground criminal activity?”

The (After) Party
Tumblr media
When life gives you lemons, right? No. There was no painting this gold, Venus already knew that. Sure, Venus had had her run ins with the police, but it was no real trouble. She was pretty enough, it was usually easy to flirt, feign interest, and squeeze her cleavage just right to get away with a warning. Not this time. This time she would really have a reason to say “fuck the police”. Most people would expect her to be familiar with this treatment, as a prostitute, but it’s far different when the person doing it is supposed to be protecting you (by law). And she was sure she recognized one of them... Of course he wasn’t the one who patted (or groped) her down, as soon as he made eye contact with her he rushed off to assist another officer...
“I want my phone call.”
“You can have your phone call once you answer a couple questions.
What is your name, age, and current address?
“Venus Tifft, 27, the Bronx...”
How did you find out about The White party?
“Honestly, this girl Kira invited a bunch of people... I personally don’t know her that well, but a lot of my friends know her... So I just went a long...”
Did you know anyone there?
“It was a huge party... Of course I saw people I know. I’m sure you would have recognized quite a few people as well.”
How long were you at the party?
“Obviously long enough to get roped into whatever bullshit this is.”
Were you consuming anything at the party? Alcohol, food, drugs?
“I had a couple drinks, yes. It was a party, what were you expecting people to do? But no, I didn’t even eat and definitely didn’t consume any drugs.”
Did you partake in any physical interaction(s) with anyone? If so, who?
“I’m sorry, but what the fuck kind of question is that? Did I fight anyone? Did I have sex with anyone? Physical interaction? I danced, I drank, I joked around with friends, I held a girls hair while she threw up! What do you want me to say?”
Do you have any knowledge about the underground criminal activity that occurred at the party?
“No. And I feel like if I had any idea what was going on, I wouldn’t be here.”

NYCRP Character Interview Task
How does your muse react to others breaking the law? If they would do it themselves, what is their reasoning?
“I mean, I’m a police officer. I definitely don’t like it much. But some things are more understandable then others. I mean, if you’re not hurting somebody else I’m not going to get as upset. Sometimes ... life puts people in bad situations they don’t know how to get out of. I’d rather help then judge then. But I wouldn’t do it myself.” he said seriously.
If your muse was the only person around and someone was injured, would they help? Would they have the experience needed?
Liam nodded, “I mean, I would definitely help - and I do know some first aid. I’m not a doctor or anything, but I think I could probably do some good, at least until we got paramedics there.” he explained.
What does your muse think of wealthy people? Do they resent them, or do they believe they earned what they have?
Liam frowned as he cocked his head slightly in consideration. “I mean, it depends on the wealthy person. Did they actually earn what they have? Are they cocky about it and looking down on people?” he questions, “If they aren’t treating people like crap because of it, I really don’t care much. Though I gotta say, it’s nice when they actually try to do some good with all of that money.”
Does your muse have a loud personality or a quiet one? Do they enjoy being the center of attention, or would they rather watch and listen?
“I think I’m quiet. Too quiet, really. I’m working on that. I’m always worried I’m going to say something stupid, since, well, I really don’t have all that much experience with people. I just kept to myself and worked hard most of the time but ... well, I actually have some free time now, and it’d be nice to have some more friends.” he said with a small sigh, “I guess I’m just thinking that actually talking to people has a much better chance of success then awkwardly standing in a corner.”
What is your muse’s relationship like with their mother? Is it good, bad, or complicated?
“It’s bad and it’s complicated.” Liam said quickly, “Look, I didn’t ... I had a really rough childhood while I was with her. She didn’t have any interest in staying sober long enough to be a mom, or in finding anybody that could actually take care of me, or protect me. She dragged a kid into a lot of crappy situations until she lost custody when I was ten. She might want to be a mom now but ... it’s too late for that. And this stalker act really isn’t convincing me otherwise.”
How often does your muse think about death? Do they think about it at all?
Liam let out a breath before nodding, “I mean, yeah. I’m a police officer, in New York City and ... I mean, my job puts me in some pretty dangerous situations.” he said, thinking about the fact that he was currently undercover with one of the biggest mob organizations in the city. “And even beyond that ... the carnival a few weeks ago, I’m not unaware that I could have been killed there. Things happen. And it’s not like I have too many people that would miss me. I’m just trying to leave my mark on the world while I can, hopefully make it a little better.”
How would your muse react to losing a best friend? How would they cope?
Liam glanced down as he considered that, taking in a deep breath. “Honestly, I try not to think about that. I mean, Alex is a police officer too ... but then Bea was in the mirror maze at the carnival with me. I know something could happen to them too but ... I don’t know what I’d do. I don’t have family ... so they’re all I’ve got, really. I guess I’d probably end up more of a workaholic then I am now. Probably be more reckless too ... I don’t know. I don’t think I’d be good though.”
How does your muse handle their emotions? Do they bottle them up or pour them out as soon as they start to feel?
“I guess I bottle them, kind of? I mean, I’ve never really had people I could just ... talk to about that kind of stuff. Nobody was safe when I was little, and then, I mean, I got bounced between foster homes too fast to ever really trust people there. I mean, except for like Kennedy, and she was only a little girl then.” he said with a shrug of his shoulders, “I guess I just got used to keeping it to myself. And I don’t exactly want to scare people off if I go all emotional on them. It’s not like I’ve got friends to spare.”
What would your muse change about their lives if they could and why? What do they wish their lives were like now?
“Well, I mean I’d like for things to be a little more comfortable money-wise, not to have to worry anymore.” he said carefully before looking away, “But I guess, and this sounds pathetic, but I guess I’d have a family. I’d have gotten adopted, have ... you know, people I could actually rely on. Do holidays and stuff with.”
What is your muses sexuality? How did they come to realize this and how do they feel about it? Are they open about it? Has it been difficult for them?
Liam bit his lip for a minute as he tried to figure out how to answer that question, “I don’t know.” he said finally. “I mean, I’ve, I dated a couple people, not in a while, but I have. I’ve kissed people. Lots of people have tried to flirt but I just ... I don’t get it? Kissing is weird. Anything more then that sounds weirder. I don’t think I’ve ever really liked somebody like that. Maybe I’m just too awkward to understand how it’s all supposed to work?” he said in a questioning tone, “How do you know what it is when it’s not that you feel one way or another but that you just ... don’t?”
What genres of entertainment/music does your muse prefer and why? Are there genres they avoid or strongly dislike? If so, why?
“I’m not all that picky about music. I heard something once like ... the music you listen too when you’re kind of in those pre-teen/early teen years sort of shapes what you’ll always like? If that’s true ... I was bounced between so many different homes then that I listened to all sorts of music. I want the lyrics to be good, that’s really all I care about.” he explained with a small shrug, “Like movies and stuff though? Well, I’ve never liked horror movies much. I’ve seen enough in real life, I don’t need to go to the movies to scare myself. But I guess there’s something good about the action stuff, something exciting but the good guys save the day in the end. Sci-Fi can be good too, you know, a whole different world. And I like comedies if there’s some kind of story there too.”
What hobbies or skills does your character have and how important are they to their life? Is it something they spend a lot of time on? Why or why not?
“Well, I’m pretty good with cars. Not great, I can’t fix everything, but I can do a lot of the basic stuff, and I kind of enjoy trying to learn more. But I kind of like just fixing things in general, or building stuff. I wish I had access to the tools to do more of that, but I’ve made like some shelves and stuff? It’s fun.” he said with a small smile, “And I can cook pretty well too. I mean, I don’t usually get all fancy, but ... if I actually cook, it’s gonna be good. And sometimes I’ll see something crazy online or on TV and I’ll go get the stuff to try it out myself. And I like to try different restaurants, see if I can figure out how to make stuff I really liked there. I guess, other then that ... I’ve kind of gotten into video games a little more lately. I’m not at my apartment much, but when I am I like to do some of that. I never did as a kid really, never had the money for that. So I guess it’s kind of cool to be discovering all the stuff I’ve always heard people talk about.”
Has your muse ever been in love? If so, what was it like for them? If they haven’t, what do they imagine it’s like?
“I haven’t, really. Like I said earlier, that’s all ... it’s really confusing.” he said with a small sigh, “But I guess it’s like ... somebody you always want to be around. They make you really happy just when they’re there. They’re ... safe. And you trust them. That’s what it seems like when I see people who are happy together, at least.”
Does your muse have any bad habits? If so, what are they, and does your muse plan to get rid of them?
“Are terrible social skills a bad habit?” he asked with a small smile, “I mean, if so, I’m definitely working on those. Other then that ... I mean, I probably work a little too much. Probably a little too reckless but ... I think that’s just me? I don’t really know how to change that.”
How does your muse react to confrontation? Would they give anything for a quiet life or do they enjoy winning an argument or a fight?
“Honestly, I’d rather avoid it. Kind of inevitable at work sometimes, but outside of work? I don’t like to fight. I’ll break stuff up if it seems like it’s getting bad. It’s just pointless for me. Somebody always gets angry or upset or hurt. If a debate turns into an argument, or somebody just wants to fight ... I’d rather just walk away.”

NYCRP Character Interview Task
How does your muse react to others breaking the law? If they would do it themselves, what is their reasoning?
Connor frowned as he considered the question, “I think you shouldn’t, most of the time. But I mean, unless it’s hurting someone else I don’t think it’s a huge deal.” he said after a moment, giving a small shrug, “I mean, I know I did my fair share of underage drinking, and a little medical marijuana that might not have been exactly legal.”
Does your muse have a loud personality or a quiet one? Do they enjoy being the center of attention, or would they rather watch and listen?.
He laughed, “Yeah, ah, I don’t think anyone has ever accused me of being quiet. Ever.” he said, shaking his head with amusement, “I guess I’m definitely kind of an extrovert so ... yeah, I like attention. Or I mean, at least I like to socialize.”
What is your muse’s relationship like with their father? Is it good, bad, or complicated?
“My father ... is better then my mother, I guess?” he said after a moment. “I mean, he never treated me like crap, he just ... well, he didn’t treat me like anything. I don’t feel like I’ve ever even really talked to the man. He was as absent as he could be when we still technically lived in the same house. I cut him off when I cut my mother off, and he didn’t seem to care much about that either.”
What is your muse’s relationship like with their mother? Is it good, bad, or complicated?
Connor sighed, "My mother sucks. She never actually wanted me, she had her perfect family already.” he said, making a face. “She pretty much just spent most of my childhood alternating between pretending I didn’t exist or insulting me. She’s, ah, she’s said some pretty awful things. I cut her off a while back, we haven’t actually spoken in two years. She doesn’t even know she has a granddaughter.”
What is your muse’s relationship like with their siblings? Who do they get along with best?
“Colin and Chloe are awesome!” he exclaimed happily, “I mean, they’re the ones that basically raised me, even though they were still just kids when I was born. But, you know, they’re the ones that took care of me, answered questions, came to all the events, were with me when I was sick. It was always them. I’m really close to both of them, but I guess Chloe worries a lot. She can get kind of ... hover-y? Colin’s easier to talk to sometimes.”
How often does your muse think about death? Do they think about it at all?
Connor blew out a breath, “Oh, wow. That’s a deep one.” he said softly, “Um, I mean, yeah. I think about it all the time. Cancer, I mean ... it leaves a mark, definitely. And it’s never really cured. I still haven’t even reached the five-year 'it probably won’t come back' mark yet either. But I’ve got a little girl now, so you know ... I mean, it can’t. I guess I worry about it a lot. And then with the friends that ... I’ve lost three very close friends. I could never forget about them either, they all died way too soon. My daughter’s actually named for one of them.”
How would your muse react to losing a best friend? How would they cope?
“Oh, well, I guess I sort of just addressed that. I was really close to Aaron and Blakely before they passed but Julian ... Julian was my best friend. We were roommates and we just, we just clicked, you know? My other best friends are older, it was kind of nice to have someone my age, doing all the same stuff. When he died ... I mean, I guess it was similar with all them but ... well, mostly, I got drunk, and I cried, and I moped. And then I decided they’d all be infuriated with me for doing that. So I just decided to never forget them, to keep their memory living on. That’s why Eliana’s named for Aaron. And when I have other kids someday, I hope to name them after Blakely and Julian.”
How does your muse handle their emotions? Do they bottle them up or pour them out as soon as they start to feel?
Connor shrugged and let out a small sigh, “I think I’m kind of a ‘heart of my sleeve’ kind of guy.” he admitted, “I guess I don’t really hide all that much. I mean, details maybe. There’s some stuff I don’t talk about in that much depth but ... I think people pretty much always know what I’m feeling.”
How does your muse feel about their body? Would they change it if they could?
Connor fidgeted a little in his seat, “Oh, well, that’s personal...” he said, frowning for a moment before answering, “I’m ... I’m more comfortable with it then I was. But I still ... I mean, sometimes it really sucks to have something that makes you so different. But I try to be open about it, I try to accept it. I don’t really hide the leg. I just ... don’t exactly let people see me without it either, unless the stump is totally covered. So I guess, yeah. I’d want my leg back if I could have it.”
What would your muse change about their lives if they could and why? What do they wish their lives were like now?
“Well, that’s a loaded question too.” he said before running a hand through his hair. “Well, for starters I want my wife back. And my daughter healthy. That’s ... I’d be happy with just that. And then, well, I’d like parents that don’t suck, a healthy body, and two legs. And I’d want all my friends to still be alive.” he said before shifting uncomfortably, “I don’t like these questions. I don’t like thinking about stuff I can’t change.”
In a perfect world, where would your muse want their life to be in five years?
“I’d want Harmony back. I’d want us to be happy, maybe with another kid. Ellie would be just fine, no problems from all of this. All my friends would be happy too, Brendon would have found his brother, but he’d still be my kid too, I’d still see him all the time. I’d be graduated, have either my own practice or be working in a hospital. And maybe ... well, in a perfect world, I guess things would be a little better with my parents. We could at least be civil.”
What are three issues/causes your muse feels are incredibly important? What draws them to feel so strongly about these things?
“I guess, like anti-bullying, anti-violence in all forms. I just wish people could be nice to each other.” he said, shaking his head in frustration at all the things he’d heard about lately, “I don’t understand how people can just be so mean like that. Life’s too short to spend yours just ruining other people’s. Let people be who they are and just be happy.” he added firmly. “And then accessibility. Like, the lack of it is insane. Did you know only a third of the subway systems in New York are handicap accessible? Do you know how frustrating that is when I can’t wear my prosthetic? It’s so obnoxious. After that ... only three, really? Well ... I guess maybe mental health awareness? People need to be more willing to talk about it, not so afraid to speak out or get help. People need to understand it more.”
What hobbies or skills does your character have and how important are they to their life? Is it something they spend a lot of time on? Why or why not?
“Are superheros a hobby? I think they’re a hobby. To me they are, at least. And then like, movies in general. I really, really love movies.” he said with a grin. “I used to play sports as a kid too, so I guess I like watching them still too. But as far as like ... actually doing things? I definitely like video games. I sound like such a stereotypical guy right now, don’t I? Well, I bet you didn’t know this, most people don’t cause I don’t have a lot of time for it anymore, but I can crochet. Chloe taught me when I was in the hospital the first time I was sick. I actually have made a few things for Ellie.”
What would be three songs to the soundtrack of your muses life?
“Oh, I’ve actually thought about this one! Let’s see, just three...” he bit his lip for a moment in thought, “On Top Of The World by Imagine Dragons, In My Arms by Plumb, and ... well, I try to be kind of like One Call Away by Charlie Puth for my friends.”
Do your muse have any bad habits? If so, what are they, and does your muse plan to get rid of them?
“I talk too much, I know that. But I guess it’s not really something I’ve thought I need to change?” he began before frowning slightly, “And, well, I guess some people might say I drink a little too much. It worries my sister. But I’ve got a handle on it, it’s not really a problem.” he added, “But I am too impulsive. I probably should work on that, now that I’m a dad.”

Character Question Task
5. How does your muse feel about the state of the world? Could it be better? Could it be worse?
“The world is shit” she nodded, matter-of-factly. “I mean obviously it could be worse, it could always be worse, but it’s terrible now already. There are very few things in the world today that arent awful, in my experience” she shrugged. “But I dont think anyone cares enough to change it, honestly”
11. How often does your muse think about death? Do they think about it at all?
“I think I spend a normal amount of time worrying about death” she said, thinking for a second. “My parents are dead, so whenever I think of them I think about death too. Or when I’m worrying about making rent for my apartment, I always think about how I could end up back on the streets and how I’d probably die there if I did” she stated. “It’s not that big of a deal to me though, I learned not to stress about it”
14. How would your muse react to losing a best friend? How would they cope?
“I’ve lost a lot of best friends in my life- not just as in them dying, but with them leaving me permanently” she nodded. “When I was in foster care, I became very close with some of the people who were living in the same house as me, and they would always inevitably be moved to a different home or taken out of the system eventually so....I’m used to losing people. It still sucks though, I’d just have to get over it if I lost someone again”
22. What would your muse change about their lives if they could and why? What do they wish their lives were like now?
“What would i change about my life?” She paused, thinking. “I would’ve made it so that my parents never died. So I could live a normal, happy life” she shrugged. “If I could’ve changed that then I think by now I would’ve been enrolled in college, maybe studying something science related. I never would’ve been homeless, I wouldn’t be stealing to make ends meet” she shrugged, “Life would’ve been pretty good if they hadn’t died”
24. What is your muses sexuality? How did they come to realize this and how do they feel about it? Are they open about it? Has it been difficult for them?
“Oh I’m gay as hell” she smirked. “I knew I was gay because I was really obsessed with Shego from Kim Possible when I would watch cartoons when I was little, she was super hot” she laughed, “I love being gay, the only trouble I’ve had with it were some conservative foster homes that thought I was the devil or something, but I never really cared that much about what these people thought of me. I dont have some big struggle story for my gay awakening or anything, it’s pretty normal for me”
26. What genres of entertainment/music does your muse prefer and why? Are there genres they avoid or strongly dislike? If so, why?
“For movies and tv shows I really like watching horror or thriller themed stuff. They’re never actually scary, which is really disappointing, but I still like them. I can’t stand romance movies though, they’re just annoying and cliche, I’ve never liked them” she shrugged, “And for music I listen to a lot of alternative stuff and some classic singers, like Sinatra. If I’m not listening to a classic artist then I’m definitely blasting either alternative or pop punk music, definitely. I actively avoid country music, I just can’t listen to it, I don’t like it at all”
29. What is your muse’s very worst memory and why?
“My worst memory has to be the first night after I ran away from my final foster home. I didn’t being much with me and I didn’t have a lot of money, so it was just me and my dufflebag in a 24 hour laundromat for a while” she frowned, “At one point I got kicked out and I ended up laying on the ground outside of that laundromat. I was freezing and I was alone. I kept thinking maybe I made the wrong choice by leaving, but I wasn’t going to turn back. And I kept looking around for cops to see if they were looking for me, I didn’t get any sleep that night”
32. What would be three songs to the soundtrack of your muses life?
Girls Like Girls -Hayley Kiyoko
Rivers and Roads -The Head and the Heart
I Want To Feel Alive -The Lighthouse and The Whaler
34. How does your muse react to confrontation? Would they give anything for a quiet life or do they enjoy winning an argument or a fight?
“I love a good fight” she smiled, “I don’t generally try to start fights, I try to avoid them usually, but if I’m in a bad mood I’m definitely confrontational” she nodded, “I’ll fight anyone when I’m in a bad mood, which is pretty often actually”
35. What was your muse like in high school? What clique did they best fit in with, if any?
“I was definitely an outcast when I went to high school. I went to a few different schools because I’d switched foster homes, so I never really bothered trying to make friends. I knew the situation was only temporary so I didn’t do much to draw attention to myself” she shrugged, “High school sucked, I’m glad I ran away before I could graduate”

Character Question task
1. How does your muse react to others breaking the law? If they would do it themselves, what is their reasoning?
“I’m not overly fond of breaking laws, but I don’t do anything when people I know are breaking the law. A lot of the people I know do it, like a lot of them are big fans of underage drinking, and they say there’s nothing wrong with that but...” he shrugged softly. “I don’t know how I feel about that yet”
6. What is your muse’s relationship like with their father? Is it good, bad, or complicated?
“It’s....complicated. I love my dad, and he loves me. And he’s always been a really nice man, he’s the sweetest. Everyone loves him” he said, his smile turning into a frown. “But if he really knew me, I don’t think he would love me anymore. Just like my brother” he stopped for a few seconds. “I know that everything he does he thinks is for the best for me but...I just don’t want my dad to hate me. I don’t want to lose him”
7. What is your muse’s relationship like with their mother? Is it good, bad, or complicated?
“I’m kind of scared of my mom, if I’m being honest” he looked down. “Like my dad is really sweet and a very genuine person, but my mom- i dont know. She acts really nice but I always feel like she doesnt mean any of it. She says she loves me, and I believe her, but I don’t know. If she knew the truth about me too, she’d hate me. Way, way more than my dad would. And that really scares me”
9. Does your muse believe in an afterlife? What do they think it’s like?
“I do believe in the afterlife, yes, of course” he nodded. “I believe that there is heaven and hell. And heaven is just beautiful and amazing. You get reunited with everyone youve ever loved and you get to spend the rest of eternity with them in happiness and nothing can go wrong” he smiled. “But then theres hell- which I imagine is just an inhuman amount of pain and suffering for the rest of forever, so..” he shrugged, “I dont know which place I’m going to, but I really hope its heaven”
16. How does your muse handle their emotions? Do they bottle them up or pour them out as soon as they start to feel?
“Oh I definitely don’t hide my emotions” he shook his head, “I always talk about how I’m feeling almost the second I start feeling it, I can’t hold that in. Usually I just talk to Connor about things, I don’t have many friends that I can really talk to about things”
20. How does your muse feel about their body? Would they change it if they could?
“My body?” He said, looking down at himself before looking back up. “Umm...I don’t really hate my body, I think it could be a lot better. Its gotten better since I started dancing, but it still isn’t really great, I don’t know” he shrugged, “I’m not really comfortable being shirtless in front of people, I don’t like being that exposed in front of people”
24. What is your muses sexuality? How did they come to realize this and how do they feel about it? Are they open about it? Has it been difficult for them?
“I figured this question was going to come up” he spoke quietly, pausing before speaking again. “I’m gay.. I’ve known for a few years. I guess the first time I realized I was gay was when I was in church and I couldn’t stop looking over at this other guy my age that was sitting with his family. I couldn’t stop thinking about him for weeks, I didn’t know what was wrong with me” he shook his head. “I don’t like being gay, I don’t want to be gay. I tried really hard to ignore it and just try to be with a girl but I couldn’t do it” he frowned. “Only very few people know that I’m gay and I’m really scared to tell people because I don’t know how they’d react. My parents can never find out or they’d exile me, like they did to my brother. So.... I guess I’m still in the process of figuring myself out but it’s been really difficult for me. Maybe it’ll get easier with time”
27. What hobbies or skills does your character have and how important are they to their life? Is it something they spend a lot of time on? Why or why not?
“My favorite hobby is definitely dancing, I love dancing” he smiled again. “It makes me really happy, I feel really free when I dance. i feel free to be myself and to be comfortable with myself, no one judges me when I’m at my dance classes. I do it all the time, I think I might want to be a professional dancer” he nodded.
30. Has your muse ever been in love? If so, what was it like for them? If they haven’t, what do they imagine it’s like?
“I don’t know if I was in love, I think I was” he frowned, “There was this guy, he was literally perfect. Perfect face, perfect hair, perfect smile, everything. And he was so cool, he didn’t care what anyone thought of him and he was just unapologetically him. And he is MILES out of my league, it was stupid for me to think I even had a chance” he admitted. “But he would never love me the way I loved him and I knew that, I was bound to get hurt. I learned that I don’t like being in love”
35. What was your muse like in high school? What clique did they best fit in with, if any?
“I’m still in high school, actually. I don’t think I really fit in with any of the set cliques there are in schools now a days, I feel kind if like a loner, you know?” He paused, “I dont have a lot of friends, most people dont know who i am, I really just stick to myself and try to do the best I can for my classes, but I’m average at best” he frowned. “I don’t really fit in anywhere in that school, everyone’s so different than what I’m used to”

Character Question Task
TW KIDNAPPING
3. What does your muse think of wealthy people? Do they resent them, or do they believe they earned what they have?
“I was raised in a very wealthy family so I can’t really resent all wealthy people without resenting myself” he said, “And I really don’t hate all wealthy people, of course. I just think it really depends on how they act” he shrugged, starting his next sentence. “You know those rich people who need you to know that they’re rich? And they don’t shut up about it and act all snobby and rude to everyone? I dont like those ones, they suck to be around. But the rich people who just live their lives and are nice to people and not obnoxious because of their money are fine”
4. Does your muse have a loud personality or a quiet one? Do they enjoy being the center of attention, or would they rather watch and listen?
“I think I’m kind of in between, honestly. I like being the center of attention when I’m performing or in any situation with my music- or when I’m drunk, I’m a loud drunk” he laughed. “But generally in my personal life, I tend to be more quiet and I let other people talk. I’m a good listener, or at least that’s what I’ve been told. I only really talk much when I’m with my few closest friends”
10. Does your muse feel like they need to do things quickly or do they take their time?
Ethan thought for a moment, “I always like to take my time when I do things. A lot of the things that I do are very time consuming, like writing music or lyrics, and that’s not something you can do perfectly in one sitting. It takes a long time to create something really amazing, I would never write songs like the ones I have if I was rushing to do things quickly. Everything comes out better when you take the time to perfect it”
11. How often does your muse think about death? Do they think about it at all?
“I try not to think about death a lot” he sighed. “Admittedly, I do spend some nights when I cant sleep thinking about death, but that’s only on nights when I’m really not doing well” he frowned. “After my cousin kidnapped me and held a gun up to my face, I couldnt stop thinking about how I almost died that day and how I could die at any minute. But I’m doing a lot better since then, I’ve been doing really well. I dont think about it much anymore, I’ve made my peace with that portion of my life”
16. How does your muse handle their emotions? Do they bottle them up or pour them out as soon as they start to feel?
“I vent my emotions differently than the usual way that people do. I don’t normally talk about my feelings with other people, sometimes I tell Evie things, but generally I just take whatever I’m feeling and put that emotion into the songs I write” he shrugged. “So I’m not really bottling them up, I am pouring my feelings out, I just put them down on paper and sing them to people later. And once I sing them I think people can really understand what I was feeling when I wrote the songs”
22. What would your muse change about their lives if they could and why? What do they wish their lives were like now?
“If I could change my life, there really isn’t much I would do, to be honest. I would want my music to be more popular, like I’d want to play sold out shows at Madison Square Garden or something. I’m hoping I’ll get there anyway, but I’d like to make it to that point in my career sooner rather than later.” He smiled, “and the other big change I would do would probably just be to have a serious relationship with someone I really love. I focus a lot on my music, I really dont make time for dating anymore but I would love to have someone that I could share all of this with other than my best friends.”
27. What hobbies or skills does your character have and how important are they to their life? Is it something they spend a lot of time on? Why or why not?
“I guess all of my skills and hobbies really revolve around my career in music” he shrugged. “My hobbies could be like singing, songwriting, playing instruments- like my guitar, my piano, and the drums. I also like listening to music. And these hobbies are very important to my life, they keep me grounded” he nodded, “Music is my rock, I would’ve lost everything a long time ago if I didn’t have music. I spent a vast majority of my time doing anything music related, honestly”
28. What is your muse’s very best memory and why?
“My very best memory, oh boy.....that’s tough” he said, looking up and thinking for a long time, trying to recall what his best memory was. “Probably when Evie and I were younger. Before everything in our lives got too complicated. She used to come over all the time and just listen to me play a song or two, and then we’d just lay on my bed together and just cuddle, maybe put on a movie or two” he smiled, “I remember this one time specifically where I had just finished writing my first song and I played it for her, and she loved it, she was so happy. I’ll never forget that smile she had when I was singing to her. That’s what really made me want to follow a career in music, I wanted to keep making people happy with my songs like I did for her that day.....I should really thank her for that, she’s always been so supportive of me and my music, she’s incredible. I wouldn’t have made it this far without her”
29. What is your muse’s very worst memory and why?
“That’s easy” he shook his head, “That’s got to be when my cousin kidnapped me and two other kids from our school. She held a gun up to my head, I was so scared, I thought I was going to die that day. And just the sounds of screaming when the shot the other guy there, I couldn’t get those screams out of my head for months” he sighed. “Yeah, that’s definitely my worst memory.”
30. Has your muse ever been in love? If so, what was it like for them? If they haven’t, what do they imagine it’s like?
“I haven’t been in love, no, I wish I had” he frowned a little. “I think love is amazing, I wish I found someone special who I could care about that much. To have a connection with someone like that is incredible, I long for something like that” he shrugged. “I’ve written a lot of songs about love and relationships based on what I imagine or hope they’re like, but I’ve never actually had a serious girlfriend”

What: Sydney answering various questions on various topics
What does your muse think of wealthy people? Do they resent them, or do they believe they earned what they have? Sydney bit her lips together. “Well, I am from a.. Or, my birth father is quite well off so to speak, and I would lie if I said I had not benefited from that.” Sydney responded. “But I believe he has worked hard for it.” Does your muse have a loud personality or a quiet one? Do they enjoy being the center of attention, or would they rather watch and listen? “I am definitely not the person who loved being the center of attention, far form it!” She chuckled. “I like to keep a low profile and stuff when I am out.. I don’t mind doing the listening though.” What is your muse’s relationship like with their father? Is it good, bad, or complicated? “This one is a complicated one. My father lives in London and is the man who raised me, while my birth father is the man who gave me life, if that makes sense?” She tried to explain. “I mean I have grown a bit closer to my birth father, but he is still not the man who raised me.” What is your muse’s relationship like with their mother? Is it good, bad, or complicated? “My mother and I are very different. She is a lot more..  self centered and has always been focused on her self and career when I was growing up. She did not even have the decency to tell me that Vicky was my half sister.” Sydney said while shaking her head a bit. “I have not seen her for a while, but I am sure she will show up once she needs something.” What is your muse’s relationship like with their siblings? Who do they get along with best?  “I have two half sisters. Vicky and London. Now, Vicky and I always got on well and we have always had a lot more in common than me and London. I mean, I even live with Vicky now and we have not killed each other yet, while London I have not seen for a while and I we could hardly live under the same roof back home in London.”
How does your muse handle their emotions? Do they bottle them up or pour them out as soon as they start to feel?   Sydney bit her lips together. “I think I have become a lot better at dealing with my emotions and opening up about them than I used to be. All thanks to my friends and their support. I find talking about things being the easiest way to deal with things, while before I used to keep it to myself.”
How does your muse feel about their body? Would they change it if they could? Sydney shrugged. “I mean.. I have good days and bad days, just like everybody else.” She said. “My sister London always used to tease me and call me a stick growing up, but I don’t really care about that now. I am just happy that I am healthy and don’t have any illnesses.” Has your muse ever been in love? If so, what was it like for them? If they haven’t, what do they imagine it’s like? Sydney blushed. “Um.. Yeah I have.. And I am.” She confessed. “I am currently going out with my boyfriend, Aleski. We have been good friends for a long time, but we decided to take it out of the friend zone and try dating. It has been great!”
How does your muse react to confrontation? Would they give anything for a quiet life or do they enjoy winning an argument or a fight? Sydney shrugged. “I mean.. I am not a violent person at all. I try to keep myself out of those kind of things.” She said. “But, if someone confronted me, I think it depends what it was about. If I know and I right or I stand for something, I will not back down easily, but at the same time I will respect other people’s opinions even if that is not mutual.”
What was your muse like in high school? What clique did they best fit in with, if any?   “I was a total geek!” Sydney laughed. “I loved all the geeky stuff, and I still do! Except I am older and I have also developed other interests.”

7 Years - Lukas Graham :  Mia’s childhood was fairly normal for the most part. She was always trying to make the most out of her situation. She always had dreams of being list her dad when she got older.
Break Up in A Small Town - Sam Hunt :  When Mia broke up with her first boyfriend, she realized how small the town she grew up in. It didn’t help when he started dating one of her friends.
In The Arms Of An Angel - Sarah McLachlan : Mia struggled to find peace after her parents died. She just hoped that they were in a better place.
Iris - The Goo Goo Dolls : More than anything, Mia just needed for people to understand her. This song goes with the brief time in her life where she was reckless and did stupid things to try to make herself feel something.
Echo - Jason Walker : In the months after her parents death, Mia felt alone in the world. She needed someone to hear her screaming.
Haven’t Met You Yet - Michael Bublé : Even though Mia had sworn off love, there was a brief time where she was open to the idea.
Love Myself - Hailee Steinfeld : The last two years of high school were hell for Mia. Although many people started rumors about her she realized that the best thing she could do was to love herself.
The House That Built Me - Miranda Lambert : This song represents how Mia felt when she briefly went to Florida a couple of years after her parents died. She thought seeing her old house might let her finally let go of all the pain she was holding onto.
Don’t Tempt Me - Luke Combs : Mia is trying her hardest to be mature and grown up. Although, there are still days where she allows for herself to be silly and just enjoy her life.
Lie A Little Better - Lucy Hale : This song is about how Mia feels around Trevor. She has feelings for him, but she knows that he is with someone else. This doesn’t stop her from letting some things slip though. (@trevorhastings )

NEW PLOT TASK
As we announced in the OOC blog earlier this week, the crime plot has won the poll sent out. We are now in the process of renovating the main to set up for this new plot and as part of that, we have a few things that we need from you guys - but don’t worry, we think they’re going to be fun!
BIOGRAPHIES
We are asking our members to please update their biographies and then put them on a page on their blogs. We will be renovating the way that the main works, and we will need your bios on your pages for this. Please send us the link to your biography when this part of the task is completed, and also resend the “basic information” ( name, age, borough, workplace, occupation, faceclaim) so that we know it is all up to date! Also know that with the plot changing, you are welcome to completely redo your characters if need be. Age them, de-age them, change their occupation, FC, background - whatever you wish. We want to ensure that people start off this plot with plenty of muse! That also means that if there is a character you just don’t have muse for, and don’t think it can be fixed, we are encouraging you to drop them and if you wish, replace them with another character. We just had a wonderful experience with 2gen, and if people would like to work some of those characters into the normal universe, that could be a perfect way to keep muse!

We would like to ask that each character also has a connections/plot page. These can be extremely helpful for plotting with each other, and we will be posting masterlists of ideas to the resource blog to help - but you can also come to us if you have questions or need ideas! Looking at the locations could also be very helpful in coming up with connections and plots, maybe something specific happened at a location and that’s how these characters met/meet? Please also send us the link to this page as soon as it is completed. We will really be encouraging plotting with each other, we want to see the excitement of 2gen plotting with our regular universe characters. Get creative, get excited, get some plots going!
ROLES
As part of the new plot, our characters will all have roles. This will function something like labels or cliques would have in the past. The pre-determined list of roles can be found here, but if you have an idea for something else, please just run that by us! Obviously, your character does not have to be a criminal, there are a handful of options listed in the roles and there is no shame in ‘innocent bystander’ either! Please do send us in the list of your characters roles as soon as you have decided.
