Here’s a ref for my new (ish) Reborn protag OC, Lysia! She’s a plucky history enthusiast from the Tandor region, visiting Reborn to learn more about the region’s history. Deciding to also take on the league for fun, she ends up wrapped in the events of Reborn.

So I (think) I mentioned replaying Lysia's playthrough of Reborn, since i wanted to readjust her team, add her Owten, and whatnot.

Here's the team post Florinia. Had to spend two rare candies to get those starters to evolve, then a lot of common candies to not be overleveled for this section.

#the owten is over Togetic but it has Eshouten's stats #minus 10 points higher BP that's the only real difference besides abilities #i also debugged the Glimmet and Cyndaquil early since Lysia had her Cyndaquil before coming to Reborn #the glimmet is mostly because the all gen mod doesn't give you Glimmora until Iolia valley and i wanted to use it -w- #lemon plays #pokemon reborn #oc: lysia📚

Obviously Lysia's team is gonna heavily focus on Hisuian and Fossil Pokemon, but also some other good candidates that fit her history buff vibes include Relicanth, Lunatone and Solrock, Duraludon (for reasons totally not related to me just wanting to use one), and again really any legendaries that have a lot of myths and legends surrounding them (honestly the Regis probably fit the best for her)

So I wanted to give Lysia an Owten in the actual game, since it's one of her partner pokemon, in Reborn. Thought it'd be nice if she had her lil guy in game.

Well between the front sprite needing to be resized to be bigger to fit Reborn's sprite sizes and needing to make the back sprite from scratch because it was too big + too high resolution, I have put too much work into something thag is solely for myself and an oc run.

For context I'm replacing Togetic's shiny sprite, since Togetic shares it's typing with Owten, Serene Grace is Owten's ability in Uranium, and as far as im aware no NPC's in Reborn have a shiny Togetic unlike Togekiss. This was more work then it was worth but Lysia will have her lil guy soon.

#also Togetic's sp attack actually is very close to Eshouten's #of course the other stats are way different but it's a neat fact #also Lysia's Owten just canonically carries am Eviolite so it also works out for Togetic #lemon rambles #oc: lysia📚 #pokemon reborn

Lysia is the narrative's favorite because she doesn't have a tragic backstory compared to my other ocs, but that isn't a good thing for her because that just means Reborn's story events and extra events I'm making for her are gonna hit her like a truck.

okay actually with Lysia I wanna try something different.
