Of course I want to. Though we’ve only reconnected recently, you were one of the first people I talked to on Punzie. You’re probably one of my longest mutuals and that’s incredible.   

I actually remember being SO nervous to follow you because.... people usually don’t like crossovers on this site.  

At least in my experiences.  Maybe it’s just Rapunzel for some reason???

Katara watches, silent from behind the pillar as Zuko, newly crowned as the Fire Lord, gives orders to generals, commanders. She leans against the ornately decorated, fire-red pillar of wood, pausing to let Zuko take a breath after he was supposedly alone once more. Katara speaks as his back is turned to her, the war room’s light glow reflecting upon her tanned skin. “Got some time for the Southern Water Tribe?” Her chieftess robes resettle as she stands straight, a smile passing on rose lips.

Maybe the Fire Lord wasn’t as EMBARRASSED about nearly jumping out of his skin at the sudden voice behind him as he should’ve been—but it was a RELIEF, above all things, that it was her (and not in fact another commander, counselor, you-name-it requesting his audience for one reason or another). He let out an abrupt exhale woven into a laugh, and Zuko ducked his head with an equal mix of RESPECT and pleasure that she be his company now. His smile might’ve been the first in HOURS.

“Well, that depends,” he drawled, but with too good of nature to fall as IMPISH as it could’ve otherwise. “Does the ‘Southern Water Tribe’ mean more than just YOU right now—? Because if so, my answer will be… vastly DIFFERENT.”
