Kultni indie rockeri, britansko-američki dvojac The Kills, novo su pojačanje u impresivnom line-upu INmusic festivala #13!

The Kills su 2001. godine osnovali Alison Mosshart i Jamie Hince. Nakon godina provedenih na čelu floridskog punk benda Discount, Mosshart na turneji slučajno upoznaje Hincea s kojim započinje glazbenu korespondenciju i stvara prve planove za formiranje novog benda. Nakon raspada Discounta u 2000. godini, Mosshart se seli u London i počinje nastupati s Hinceom pod umjetničkim imenima „VV“ i „Hotel“. Uskoro „VV“ i „Hotel“ postaju The Kills, a njihove prve pjesme, dominantno lo-fi zvuka i nastale uz pomoć ritam mašine, u 2013. izlaze u sklopu debi albuma Keep On Your Mean Side. Uslijedili su No Wow (2005.), Midnight Boom (2008.), Blood Pressures (2011.) i Ash & Ice (2016.). The Kills kao svoje glavne utjecaje navode PJ Harvey, The Velvet Underground, Fugazi, The Clash, Nirvanu, Pixiese i sl., no u javnosti su ih u početku najučestalije uspoređivali sa suvremenicima, The White Stripes. Usporedba nije bila ni posve promašena, obzirom da je Alison Mosshart 2009. godine s Jack Whiteom, Dean Fertitom (QOTSA) i Jack Lawrenceom (The Raconteurs) osnovala supergrupu The Dead Weather. The Kills su u proteklih petnaest godina osvajali publiku i kritiku minimalističkim i istovremeno intenzivnim nastupima uživo, varirajući u žanrovima i stilovima od lo-fia, garage-rocka i post-rocka pa do njima specifičnog punk-blusea. Nezaustavljivo karizmatični The Kills prvi su ovogodišnji headlineri OTP World Stagea i garantirana rock poslastica za mnogobrojne fanove.

The Kills se na INmusic festivalu #13 pridružuju velikim Queens Of The Stone Age, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, David Byrnu, Skunk Anansie, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes i mnogim drugima. INmusic festival #13 održati će se na već dobro poznatoj lokaciji zagrebačkih jarunskih otoka od 25. do 27. lipnja 2018.
