Talvick! ⚔️
The Talvick is a ceremonial dagger used by elves who live in northern Dragon Country during the final stages of a wedding/joining.
Materials used in the construction of talvicks varies wildly, but one characteristic they all share the lack of a handle. As wielding a talvick is the only way for someone to object to the union at that late stage of the ceremony, it is seen as fitting that anyone wishing to disrupt it must be willing to cut themselves when they grip the thin blade.
When someone is said to “still be carrying a talvick,” it implies that they have yet to let go of an old love interest who chose someone else.

⚔️ Illistrom.
Illistrom is the name of the legendary single-edged sword wielded by Caster, Lord of the Immortals during the Second Age on the world of Reulla.
Accounts differ wildly about the length of the blade, though most legends agree that it was at least half of Caster’s standing height.
It is said to be indestructible, and that its sharp edge could cut through the air with such sharpness that it left a trail of lightning whenever it was swung. The back half of the blade was covered in countless runes of Caster’s own invention, and some of them were inscribed so fine they could fit on the toe of a flittersnipe.

Okay I've had a pun in mind for a long time and I've done so many different things with it, but let's get your take: The Mourning Star!
The Mourning Star is one of two legendary weapons wielded by Shade, the enigmatic Immortal of Necromancy and Undead. It is typically depicted in stories and art as a large, spiked ball attached to a chain. Depending on the artist or storyteller, the other end of the chain may be attached to a handle that Shade holds in their left hand, or the chain may seemingly attach to nothing and moves of its own accord.
Tumblr media
While Shade’s legendary battle axe Gravedigger appears in more stories and legends, Mourning Star is generally considered equally important in terms of understanding the nature and role that Shade plays in the world.
Tumblr media
Gravedigger’s most famous ability is to crack the ground and summon skeletal versions of enemies that Shade has previously defeated to act as their servants or soldiers. In contrast, the Mourning Star is used to smash the very souls of those too evil to be granted even the possibility of unlife.
The insult “May the Mourning Star take you,” is used to convey the sentiment that not only do you wish the target of the insult would die, but rather that you wish them to die twice, with no hope of coming back.
