ooh this is a good one!! someone in the city is targeting rodney and his team gets very mad about it :)

“Rodney, we still don’t know who attacked you or why. You shouldn’t risk being out in the open like this until we know more, it’s not safe.” John gave Rodney a pleading look.

“Please, Ronon would have his gun on anyone before they could even think about trying anything. Face it Sheppard, you’re the one who’s always telling me to trust my team. Well, I trust you to all keep me safe. My job doesn’t take a break just because someone is trying to kill me.” He finished loading up his tray and headed over to their usual table, where Teyla and Ronon were already waiting. John stared at him in desperation for a moment before grabbing a bottle of water and rushing after him.

They ate in silence for a few minutes, Rodney focused on his food and the rest of the team keeping one eye on Rodney and the other on the room at large. Rodney had only eaten a few bites of his salad before his face dropped.

“Umm… does… does this taste lemony to any of you?” Rodney asked, his voice quiet and panicked. Ronon’s eyes went dark as he pulled an epi pen from who-knows-where, rounding the table and stabbing it into Rodney’s leg before Rodney could even ask him why he had it. John took a bite of the salad- the one specifically labeled citrus free- and clenched his fists when he tasted the familiar citric tang.
