This is the current in-chat VP poll. Thought to ask the wider audience of the VP blog, with a couple of more options.

Hey man sorry about your male co-star. Turns out you guys had too much sexual tension on screen so he was written into a lazy, heterosexual romance arc that lacks chemistry and depth and actually just makes him look even more queer tbh. Now he's off pretending to be happy with somebody else when the love of his life was right there all along. I'm so sorry dude. It will probably happen again :/

ETA: Dropout announced they are back in production on August 8th.
Since this post continues to reach new people every day, please be aware it is now (happily) out of date!
——————-
Just FYI. I have seen so much baseless speculation about how actual play shows are affected (it seems complex!) so I am cross posting some stuff. It does seem like the SAG’s decisions do affect them directly whereas WGA does not as much, due to unscripted content being treated differently within the industry.

I’ve seen some people confused about this so let me just say that it takes YEARS for movies to be made and be produced. This means you can watch the Barbie movie and Oppenheimer (and basically any other movie that comes out this year) while supporting the WGA strike.
Also since companies have said they’re just going to wait out the strike as a way to let the strikers starve, please watch these movies. The people striking can still make money off of these movies and help to keep them housed and fed.

Summary: The secession of Atlantis from Earth and its reformation as a city state is told through thirty-six unreliable narrators, in a mix of excerpts from academic books, interviews, poetry and so on, and a connecting straight narrative. (Summary from Fanlore)
Author: @cesperanza
Note from submitter: Despite only landing in novella territory at 52k words, Victors is one of the few fics that I think reaches the quality of a published novel while being totally inextricable from its fic roots. An insanely ambitious effort, completely worth the level of acclaim it's enjoyed in SGA fandom. It's THE McShep fic. Even if you're not a SGA fan, the way it plays with format is compelling on its own.
