Water Level Route
This train, a southbound Rohr Turbo, is seen blasting through Cold Spring, New York, on its way to the city. A northbound Metro North train is on the other main and is most likely still making its station stop. This is the former New York Central line along the Hudson River.

Hudson River and Sugarloaf Hill
Here we see a southbound Amtrak Rohr turbo. I believe the train to be called the Adirondack; it’s just sped by the Manitou stop, serviced by Metro North, on its way to the city. Manitou, situated along the Hudson River, is about three miles south of Garrison Landing.
The rail line here is former New York Central and the peak in the upper right corner is Sugarloaf Hill. The photographer is standing upon Bear Mountain Bridge and is using a fairly long lens.
