You’re… not the smartest athlete of all, if you: drink alcohol on steroids And here’s why: 1. You’re damaging your liver BADLY. Alcohol - whether it’s vodka, tequila or the weakest piss-like beer - make your liver work on its limits to deal with the stress. Steroids harm it even more. 2. You’re over-pressuring your heart. Alcohol relaxes your smooth muscles (the ones that surround your blood vessels as well) and increases your BP. Steroids add increased red blood cell production to the effect. It’s literally a highway to a heart attack at 40. 3. You get a f!ckton of unhealthy calories. One glass of whiskey (about 250-300kcal) can give you the same effect as a McDonalds Cheeseburger (300kcal), and we both know that there’s always a second glass. Farewell, rock-hard 6-pack - and welcome, nasty hairy beer belly.
