I love how, during the big "Janeway, Paris and Kim figure out that the alien presence is Chakotay" scene in Cathexis, Brian Markinson is just kinda... sitting there while the regular cast members solve the problem. It's a very awkward framing, but it makes me laugh so I'm not even necessarily intending it as too strident a criticism.

Day 26: Married AF Episode
Love the choice by @starg8rocks for the Fight, I totally agree with you!
I picked this episode:
I think it is in the first season, but it is one of the first times that there is open concern for each other, realizing that there are deeper feelings for each other.
Here you can also see the concerns, the restlessness Janeway and the joy when things get better.
My memory is failing me today. I really don't get the name of the episode anymore. If anyone knows please mention it. Is it Cathexis S1E13?
Gifs are not mine.

ST Voy s1e12 Cathexis
I was afraid this was going to be another period drama on a holodeck ep, but thankfully Janeway was called out of it by the bridge. I feel like I just dodged a bullet.
Aliens possess people! Woo! You can’t trust anyone on this ship.
Chakotay is in a coma and that’s a huge improvement of him.
I like that Kes’ mind powers are legit.
Good try with giving command codes to The Doctor because a hologram cannot be possessed. I like how his status is used to the ship’s advantage.
That little moment of everyone suspecting Harry got possessed because he was deep in thought. Yeah, paranoia is unhealthy and dangerous, but it’s not paranoia if they’re really out to get you.
Paris gets to be the backup medic again since The Doc and Kes are both out.
s1e13 Faces
Crew got kidnapped again! But not Harry! Impressive!
Neelix making Tuvok plomeek soup that tastes like home then adding a bunch of spices to “improve” it LOL
Vidians somehow split B’Elanna into two - human and Klingon, because they want to experiment on a pure Klingon to find cure for their phage.
The Vidian scientist is creepily hitting on Klingon B’elanna ugh.
Also, if he wanted to look handsome why didn’t he steal Paris’ face? The other guy’s face was quite ordinary.
I like how the episode explored the dichotomy within B’elanna as half-human half-Klingon and how it affects her psychologically. And it avoided saying that her human is a coward or the Klingon is a thoughtless brute. They compliment each other and she needs both to be a whole person.
Paris caring for human B’elanna and trying to defend the other crewmember from being taken away was very nice.
