handwriting the start of lover boy in the official lover boy first draft red notebook healed me btw. handwriting was shit bc I’m on my bed but like that healed me

#basically i spitballed ideas in notes then transcribed them with intentional drafting in mind #then later on typing it all up again on my computer 👍 #I won’t always start in notes but if I have an idea that moves me or in this case was nervous about the paragraph LOL #only did the opening but I feel good abt it i just need to use brain power for the next para cause it’s the weakest of the scene #a refresh my goal with the lover boy notebook is a handwritten draft where I’m not allowed to cross any lines out I just have to let it #happen and I also have to keep it completely linear #so if I want to skip around I have to do it in my free writing #like I said above if I want I can play with the scene before writing it in the notebook but the notebook is the official first draft #separating draft writing and free writing is saving my life btw 👍 #I think I struggled to process having docs on word for random scenes and also the actual draft #so separating them like this seems to be helping my brain
