Sáng 4/1, Seoul E-Land thông báo chiêu mộ Văn Toàn với tư cách cầu thủ Đông Nam Á đầu tiên của CLB. Cá nhân Văn Toàn cũng có lần đầu tiên xuất ngoại trong sự nghiệp.

"Tôi rất vui khi bắt đầu thử thách K-League tại Seoul E-Land. Tôi sẽ nhanh chóng thích nghi với đội bóng", Văn Toàn chia sẻ. "Mục tiêu của tôi và toàn đội là thăng hạng. Tôi sẽ cống hiến hết mình cho đội bóng và cùng mọi người đạt được mục tiêu đang mơ ước".

Seoul E-Land hiện đá ở K-League 2 - giải hạng Nhì Hàn Quốc, và chưa từng lên hạng kể từ khi thành lập vào năm 2014. Thành tích tốt nhất của đội là xếp thứ tư mùa 2015. Từ đây, LĐBĐ Hàn Quốc (KFA) quyết định bổ sung vào điều lệ giải về việc cho phép các CLB Hàn Quốc có thêm một suất ngoại binh Đông Nam Á.

Năm 2018, Việt Nam có thêm Nguyễn Hữu Khôi vô địch giải bán chuyên K3 League Basic cùng Siheung City FC. Một năm sau, Công Phượng gia nhập Incheon United nhưng chỉ gắn bó nửa mùa giải. Văn Toàn là cầu thủ Việt Nam thứ tư sang thử sức với bóng đá xứ sở kim chi.

It wasn't that he didn't want his son to have a relationship with them, but what his wife had spoken of, it made him want to keep distance. Unfortunately, Benji’s dad had passed away in a wrong-time-wrong place situation. He went to live with his aunt and uncle in New Orleans, Louisiana. Reaching 18, the boy made his choice to go to mortuary school so he could help those with the process, as others had helped him through his. School wasn't easy, but he worked hard as he could and ensured he came out on top. Benjamin ended up becoming valedictorian of his graduating class.

Death seemed to favour Benjamin. In early 2022 his aunt and uncle were murdered in their home. Benjamin was the one to unfortunately find the couple after working a late night pick up call. He was always able to keep his work and life separate, but in this case, there was no way to keep that space. Despite the other morticians being able to, he did the prep for their funerals. It gave him the time to say goodbye and any other things that were left unsaid. Despite it being a healing moment, it was still traumatic for the boy.

While the mortician dated here and there in highschool he didn't have much time to date after returning from school. The job was more demanding than what most people realised and a lot of them couldn't handle the constantly on call, late nights, early mornings and never seeing their partner. It never really bothered Benjamin too much, they always figured that out eventually. He didn't attach himself too much for that purpose. An arms length away was the perfect length for anyone to be at. They weren't close but they weren't too far away, just enough. That also included friends.
