See I knew my dad’s side of the family was fucked up… but it apparently goes back a bit further

#I got family lore today ig #it just goes back further than I thought/had heard #like my dads dad is weird and we don’t talk with him #but apparently his mom killed herself?? the fuck??? I’ve never heard of this ever #and my maternal grandmothers mom was fucked up and pitted her daughters against one another?? #which I knew that my grandmother and her 4 sisters don’t all speak #but I didn’t know about my great grandmother #but yeah my dad and his siblings make sense #and it makes sense why he doesn’t alway wanna spend time with his family #anyway lucky me and my brother has my moms influence and we turned out great #she can calm it all down #similarly her brother calms down my aunt it’s and interesting dynamic #me #now that I think about it’s even more weird #bc my mom doesn’t speak to her cousins cause her moms brother died years ago #and like one of their only cousins killed herself #and her uncle on her dads side doesn’t have any kids (tho we’re super close with him and his wife) #so like my dad has a lot of family that he doesn’t like spending that much time with #my mom doesn’t really have that much but the ones she does are super chill #hmm interesting
