RIP The Kings of Namiri Plains.

Great loss of Snyggve/Bob Jr & Tryggve, some of the most impressive lions. They were sons of the famous lions C-boy & Hildur. Snyggve was killed yesterday by three young males part of a coalition of seven. It is assumed his brother Tryggve also met the same fate. Iconic lions who have reigned for over seven years. At around 12 years of age they had conquered pride after pride and sired many. Legends who will not be forgotten. Farewell the Kings of Namiri!

A lio, known as the king of the Serengeti, has been killed by rivals. Tour operators and visitors to the national park have paid tribute to the “legendary” Bob Junior – also known as Snyggve – online.
