I was kindly called out to revive fandom activity by the @what-if-toa-rott group and @tenebrius-excellium and thus, decided to finish this small sketch that I was halfway done with!

A possible idea of what if little Douxie saw little Illy one day as they pass by each other?

Maybe it's possible the memory stuck with him? Maybe a blurry idea of that day he passed by her just plays when they first actually meet in Camelot years later?

Either way, i just wanted to draw this up since I thought it'd be cute... also I am exhausted and needed a soft break.

This is my design for Douxie's mama! It took.... a while cause I was deciding on eye colour of all things xD

Yedda Sorina Casperan, secretly a spellcaster with knowledge of basic magic and protection spells. She's considered a simple seamstress in her village able to make detailed spceial embroidery

She was born with heterochromia, an emerald green eye and a bright sky blue eye. But after Douxie was born and she moved to the village where she now resides as a seamstress, she used a simple glamour to change her blue eye to green to avoid any suspicion from the villagers and to fit in as a normal mortal as much as possible.

Like her given names suggest, Yedda Sorina (a Sun-like woman, with a lovely voice), was a very warm and bright woman. She was adored by children in the village for how sweet and kind she is.

Yedda was also born with a sweet and melodious voice that can often be heard as she hums while she works.. or when she sings lullabies to her beloved son.

As Douxie grew, he understood why his mother would hide her beautiful differently coloured eyes. She explained as much to him, it was to keep them both safe, from being feared.

Overtime though, the young Douxie associated his mother's blue and green eyes as her being able to be herself... being able to show her true colours around him, and him alone. Thus, the bright sky blue of her mother's eye, the one he would always see when his mother is able to feel safe and like herself in their home, imprinted on him, giving his magical aura the same bright hue.

That's... all I have so far! I still need to figure out more about Yedda, little Douxie and how Archie came along but for now, I wanted to share my design and some things I was able to come up with for her!

I had a lot of fun drawing her and I have.... a lot of friends to thank for the feedback when I designed her, especially when it came to her eyes xD

Special thanks to @tenyai for igniting my inspiration to go back to Yedda's old design I used in Douxie Appreciation Week and updating/finalizing it!

@generalfandomsofthefreak ,thank you for the suggestion for the dark emerald green eye colour! And @bernie-the-nugget for the idea of Yedda changing her eye colour using magic, really wouldn't have been able to come up with the explanation without it!
