About that post that says Winston should be in tf2 I agree and my insane brain immediately imagines how he'd be perfectly adapted into the canon with zero changes and he'd actually be the most straightlaced and ordinary member of the entire cast while also being a talking gorilla with a jetpack. He'd be the straight man for all the jokes and probably the closest thing the cast would have to a moral compass.

Except in tf2's canon he'd have been like, owned by a traveling circus and the fact that he's hyperintelligent would be completely unexplained and tertiary to his backstory as Bananas Von Sprinkepants the Juggling Ape until he was broken out and took the name Winston to show he'd progressed beyond being a performing clown and was now a man of science and morals. And then he'd end up on a mercenary team with a soul stealing medic and god's gift to women and heavy's there too.
