i didn't bother putting the rest of the items with the dawn winery/ragnvindr pattern on here but like. i know the first time, during windblume, it was easy to write off the ragnvindr teacups being filler as a 'fancy' teacup (even though reskinning the teacup model to make a hexenzirkel one would hardly been a noteworthy effort, given how many other unique models were on the table)

but twice? in fontaine, which has it's own brand of fancy teacups? they chose to use the very specific ragnvindr model with patters everywhere in dawn winery, on diluc's coat, even on the bartending event shaker?

this is hoyo we're talking about - i highly doubt this is a coincidence

the albedo family tree has already gotten sillier with the introduction of elynas and the melusines but it would get even better if its confirmed that elynas was the hydro dragon mentioned in the archon quest (especially if a certain other theory is true)

the genshin manhua/webtoon is such a boon and curse for diluc stans tbh

there are. so many interesting lore ties.the way the delusion was implied to be for him, specifically, from the same experiments that had been literally injecting people with god residue. the fact that he no seen lingering side effects from 4 straight years of use. the way his eyes change and glow when using the delusion. the fatui symbol on his mask. the khaenri'ah star in his office, the khaenri'ah star in that single panel on his bartender outfit. the fact he literally broke his delusion

and none of it has ever been touched on since. sure, theres a thousand and one ties to the ragnvindrs in-game (hellloooo mage n and the hexenzirkel, windblume, the dragonspine glider) but its such a fucking pity that not even his skin, which literally has him using elemental energy without a vision or delusion mentions it.

4.0 archon quest spoilers //

looking at the end of act 2, you see the people start to immediately turn on furina the moment that she slips up and admits she's confused by the oratrice's judgement and you start to understand why she has such a strong need for control (and why she moment she's on the backfoot she redirects any doubts or anger and then leaves)

maybe its my own eldest sibling syndrome acting up but oooh it really grinds my gears when people makes jokes like "ooh kaeyas the favourite child and everyone, including their father and adelinde, likes him better" and then just. leave it at that???

like yeah i get the general vibes a lot of ragbros stans dont actually like diluc too much but my eye starts twitching at those jokes bcs diluc canonically doesn't think his father is even proud of him anymore, to the point its been brought up twice in his very sparse event appearances, and the fact that he is also closed off in general to the point where unlike other characters he doesn't have any truly close friends

its like. ugh. i dont think saying it is bad in and of itself but it feels really awful to read/interact with bcs its only ever done as a fandom joke about how kaeyas just so much better, and not as an exploration of character or of diluc's own, canon feelings

so i was rewatching the 4.1 trailer again and im very interested in one part in particular

at about 3:50 in, there's a voice speaking to neuvillette, telling him he will live among humans and become a spokesperson for fontaine's past

what gets me is that im almost certain the voice here belongs to furina/focalors, and not egeria. the voice is much higher than egeria's in the final feast teaser, and it has a specific drawl to it that is very furina-esque

but it also doesn't sound like normal furina - it carries a weightiness that doesn't match her current extravagant persona (or her horrified begging for her life literally seconds earlier which is. hoo boy. a whole nother post)

it's fascinating.

of course, i could be wrong, of course

but if it is furina, its gonna be super cool to see a more mature, archon-y side of her, as opposed to the mascot-esque side we see. even when she's acting cool and collected in act 2 of the archon quest, her voice doesn't take on the same quality as we hear in the trailer

either way, whoever it is, im super excited

ok not to nerd out about the ragnvindrs but. i saw your man red-haired warrior with a very distinct claymore shape (bcs ofc hes a claymore user) and went "oh i know that shape let me see what the name is"

and my initial thought was that its the 3 star weapon "white iron greatsword" which IS only found in mondstadt. cool! but then as i was scrolling through the list of claymores, i realised that there was another weapon that uses that shape

....mailed flower. aka the windblume claymore. aka the tradition that this guy started as a way to pass information. who's description talks about the fall of decarabian, which he partook in.

i just think thats neat - and even if this is a reach, that claymore shape is exclusive to mondstadt weapons either way, so its very fitting
