Playthrough Updates!

Just some rambles about my recent playthroughs...

Solenia the Drow Cleric of Elistraee

Finally found her hair that I'm satisfied with!!! And sorry Efenity, I know I always put you in this dress, but it's Sol's now 🤩 she rocks it so well!

She saved the grove and flirted with Gale and Halsin. I should note, this was my first time since my very first playthrough that I saved the grove and for a minute there I had no idea what to do or where you're supposed to go after the fight 🤣 if you side with minty and the gobos, it just cuts right to the party after it's all over.

She is currently in the Underdark and is reminded why people dislike her underground kin so much.

I made her to be paired with Gale but hooonestly...Halsin might be the play. We'll just have to see 👀

Enyana the Dryad (Wood Elf Druid)

Surprise! New Tav. Enyana (yes, name after Enya lol) is a dryad who's very far from home. Too far. She keeps a part of her tree with her, on her body, but she never intended to be so far away from home after getting kidnapped and crash landing in the mindflayer ship.

Enyana is a sassy but very kind person who believes in sticking up for yourself and not letting others take advantage of you. She didn't let Astarion drink her blood and I have never seen him so sad!!! 😭😭 But oh well lmao she refused to let him take advantage of her vulnerability like that.

I didn't make her to romance anyone in particular, but thought perhaps she would go for Halsin....turns out she seems to like Gale a lot more 🤣

Efenity the Storm Sorcerer (canon run #3000 lmao)

Sweet, evil Efe, my beloved. 😌💜

Nothing crazy going on in this run...it's just my "usual" run for her. It's like the 6th time I've played as her and H O P E F U L L Y this time I will finish the game and actually get to see the epilogue with her and AA!!!😩👌🏽

She's getting there! Currently in the Underdark as well, just working on the Myconid quests. Next one is the Nere quest.

I also have her a new do for the funsies. I really like it on her! I also got this mod that really makes all the eyes "pop" and glow. That's why her orange eye looks so glowy!

Nordicai the Tiefling Rogue (Durge!!!)

BABY'S FIRST DURGE!!!!

I took a really long time to make one but I finally did 😌 Meet Nordicai! He's a meph tiefling and an arcane trickster rogue!

So my whole concept is ...I wanted him to be as edgy and intimidating and BAMF looking as possible, like the kind of dude you don't bring to the family dinner, because he's... a resist Durge who's super docile and sweet and has no idea what's going on most of the time 🤣 I was amused by the concept of that contrast.

Also didn't make him with any specific romance in mind but it seems he is leaning toward Shadowheart 👀 never romanced her before so we'll see how that goes.

Still working on Silkina but no new screenshot yet. Just got to the goblin camp fight and working my way through that! Haven't played her in a hot minute, but she'll be next!

Forgot about my Efeniti spawn run AU 🤣🤣 one day I'll play you spawn ending. One day.

Still haven't finished the game, but i've been having some thoughts about Wyll's rewrite - not really spoilers, but putting them under the cut just in case.

Larian: So we realized we weren't telling Wyll's story as effectively as we could, so we rewrote it completely. Me: Oh, cool, so you made it easier for the players to find/recruit him and made his personal quest/backstory triggers more accessible instead of making them dependent on having him in the party at two hyper specific places?

Larian: What? No, we cut out his character arc completely, so he has nothing to learn or work towards. No one can complain about him being a hypocrite now that he has virtually no flaws; even his 'big mistake' is just a heroic act of self-sacrifice.

Me:.......................................

But like seriously. I've been thinking about this since Act 2 and just, what the hell, Larian? EA Wyll had such an incredible, complex character arc ahead of him, and they just.... cut it? Completely?? Wyll's story was honestly the one I was most excited about from EA and they watered him down to just The Good Guy TM.

The problem in EA was never his story, the problem was that half the players never found him in the first place or didn't trigger his personal quest/backstory cut-scenes because of how his story was implemented mechanically. And of course there was the very loud, very vocal subset of players who just couldn't handle a flawed, complex character who wasn't fucking white (don't even get me started on the double standard with Astarion).

Don't get me wrong, I still LIKE Wyll. I'm just salty and disappointed because he was ROBBED.

The adventure continues, so spoilery stuff under the cut! Just for Act 1, because I'm 25 hours in the game and haven't even gone to rescue Halsin yet.

Had the first scene with the dream visitor and boy it played well with my canon for Morgana about the visitor being a similar projection to her caretaker. When you get the answer "I know your voice", it felt very fitting for the double understanding. Still need to work on that backstory a bit more to roleplay better, but sometimes I prefer to wait until the game shows me new stuff that gives me idea. Like one of Tav's random barks is "Nobody every back home would believe this" or something of the sort, which implies your character may have something close to a home - it's up to you to decide what that home is. For Morgana, I'm still deciding whether it's something related to Abbadon, or just a town she kind of settled in close and feels like a home to her, where she has friends and such.

Finished Karlach's quest regarding the paladins and I didn't expect her to burn down the place, so my character died and Shadowheart had to resurrect her, which gained her 1 inspiration, and Karlach was very happy. All for the girlies ❤️

Wyll not only becomes a devil but HE'S RAVENGUARD'S SON? I asked him about the courtly dancing and he promised to give Morgana a taste of his worst dancing, so looking forward to that. That boy is charming as hell (ha) and full of surprises. Now I'm glad I accepted the mission to rescue Ravenguard because I was unsure at first if it made sense for Morgana to deal with that, but I accepted it in the end because it gave her a cunning edge I liked - help with the rescue and it might help them back having someone so powerful in your debt. Now, knowing he's Wyl''s father, makes it more personal.

Astarion is all I ever hoped for and better, there are some truly heart-wrenching interactions with him, even when he dismisses some topics with sarcasm or flirty banter. I love what they're doing with the character. I was open to do other romances first, but after seeing this? Nah I'm basic and I'm doing his all the way. I have never been a vampire girl, but maybe Astarion will become my Twilight-era trigger.

I'm also warming up a lot to Lae'zel ❤️ Though I did reject her advances - I'm a simple woman and while I enjoy a lot the romances, I never enjoyed fooling around not even in games. And I wanna be her bestie. Met with the githyanki patrol and the whole scene was reaaally good, gives you a different perspective on Lae'zel and it moves forward the plot, which I didn't expect. I thought the artefact was something related to Shadowheart's personal mission, not with the overall plot, but it's a welcome surprise.

Also Shadowheart IS my bestie ❤️ I love her, she's my Morrigan in this game for now. I knew about her being a follower of Shar, but tbh, I don't know if it's my ignorance on D&D lore or what... but it doesn't seem like such a big deal? I still don't know how godhood works in this universe, but I assume this is like an elf saying they worship the Dreadwolf in Dragon Age? YOU DO YOU SWEETIE. But now I know she had some memories erased and I'm curious about it.

Found out about Gale's backstory and love affair issues. He's just as charming as well, but I am glad I am not pursuing that romance HA. But I do like him as a character and his whole story is very interesting! Now I just need to keep a pouch full of magic objects for him, nice.

Overall I am enjoying learning a lot about the companion's backstories, and I haven't still arrived at the goblin camp and I'm already getting on some interesting deals, so there's a lot more coming.
