Once it steps up without hesitation, you can then substitute your finger for the perch. If your conure tries to bite, you can blow on it and it will soon learn to behave.
Advanced Training:
These are very bright birds and love learning tricks. Some of the tricks you can teach it to do are to play dead, lay on its back, and even pick up objects and bring them to you. Your conure can also learn to talk with patience and persistence.

Breakfast shenanigan birbies ❤️ In my current batch of chiklets, I'm raising two green Indian Rignecks and one sun conure. The sun conure, Sholey, and one Ringneck, Wengu, are our pets; and one ringneck is being hand-tamed and harness-trained for a client. Out of all 3, Wengu is the only shareef bacha. The other two are the NAUGHTIEST birbies I've ever come across. 😂 BOTH of them (Sholey and not-Wengu-ringneck) have started taking off mid-feed to take laps around the room, and then land at random places to show off their newfound skillzez. ❤️ Sholey, being older, is a more expert flier, ofcourse. She takes off, goes around the room, investigates things, and then randomly lands on my shoulders while I'm doing something else, startling the fuck out of me. 😂 Then she demands laadiaN and snuggles. 💛🧡💚❤️ Baby Ringneck, meanwhile, is a new flier (was shifted to his weaning crate only yesterday.) His landings are wonky, but today, he too made a neat landing on. top. of. my. head. 👀💚 Wengu is the youngest. He and Unnamed-Baby are siblings from the same clutch, but hatched about a week apart. He has been shifted to a weaning crate too, but hasn't expressed an interest in flying-shlying yet.
