For my own amusement: an entire post in which I (lovingly) roast EVE’s looks throughout the years

1. Final Fantasy Host Club

Year: 2010

Vk level: OVER 9000

I... don't even know what to say. They were just starting out, so I guess they wanted to stand out with the gaudiest vk look ever? Good thing Takeru soon realized that he can get away with less makeup. And less fur. And less gravity-defying hair.

2. Final Fantasy Villains

Year: 2010-11

Vk level: 10

Ok, I'm not mad at Takeru's outfit, it's a pretty good look for him. Black, glitter and studs always work. Everyone else looks...questionable tho. Like...what's with the pants' lenghts? And the shoes?? And Nao’s shiny boot-cut + host pointy shoes combo? But I love me some dramatic shirt collars, so you go Keita. (also, baby Ryo makes his first appearance here, bless)

3. Casual Visual Kei

Year: 2011

Vk level: 4,5

This is what you would call an everyday vk look, for when you want to go driking with your bandmates but don't really feel like doing the whole vk shabang. You still want people you know you're in a band tho, therefore wearing silver lamé is totally acceptable. Also, Yoshi makes his first appearance with a two-toned soccer mom haircut and polka dots jacket. Way to make a first impression.

4. Overexposed Nightmare

Year: 2012

Vk Level: 7

SO. MUCH. WHITE. MY EYES! The concept behind it is half Backstreet Boys, half marching band? But honestly, everyone looks cute and this is such a memorable look for them. Probably their most iconic one, so I can’t hate on it, despite losing my eyesight everytime I look at the Case;A MV.

5.Baby Blue PVC and Polka Dots of Doom

Year: 2012

Vk Level: 7

I....kinda love and hate this look. Much like I love and hate its cute but cringy MV (Yell). It's not that dramatically different from the all-white outfits, but somehow this offends me more? Perhaps it's all due to Yoshi. He looks like a he's wearing grandma's trinket in this. And that fascinator. AGH.

6. Elegant Vk

Year: 2012

Vk Level: 6

I love this era. Everyone's look is on point, pretty simple but classy and it works. Also I'll never stop gushing how gorgeous Takeru is here, he looks like rl Cloud Strife he's the sole reason I watch the Gemini's MV much more than any other videoclip of theirs. Also, Keita can get it too tbh.

7. Leather Twinks

Year: 2013

Vk Level: 8

This is another favorite look of mine. The all black with gold accents is always a good combo. Let's appreciate the fact that Take is starting to give in his S-leanings with his leather daddy (or twink rather) hat. Everyone looks hot so this is definitely approved.

8. Intergalactic Emo Scene Boys

Year: 2013

Vk Level: 7,5

The galaxy trend was going strong around that time, right? But EVE decided to make it less trendy by adding patterns like zebra, polka dots and double-toned hair that remind us of our old scene/emo days. Colorful and a bit tacky, but fun.

9. Inescapable Traditional Attire

Year: 2014

Vk Level: 6

Vk bands always go through a hakama phase, right? I guess that's their way to show closeness and appreciation of their roots. Speaking of roots, everyone has black hair in this! Which goes well with the more traditional look. Overall, a cute look, can’t say anything bad about it.

10. Pic 'n Mix

Year: 2014

Vk Level: 7

Leather, loud print, silver lamé, loud colors: this looks like a mish-mash of all their previous looks, doesn't it? Which is appropriate given this was their last. I really like Takeru's sugar skull shirt and everyone's look, except for Yoshi's. The bow-tie doesn’t really go well with the rest? That's okay though, he's in UNiTE now anyways.
