an assortment of unorganized total drama headcanons I have (some probably contradict the timeframe when the td timeline takes place in but whatever):

Courtney and Heather pretend to have refined taste in music but blast Mitski full volume when they're alone

Heather and Harold are still actually really great friends after TD and find that they have a lot in common. Exhibit A: Their MLP phases

Noah's 15th birthday gift from his mother was a Miku binder. Also yes Noah's transmasc keep scrolling

Izzy, Eva, Owen, Noah and Emma are all in a polycule and currently live in a big apartment. (for more info um here)

Prior to it, they'd been kicked out of 4 consecutively for 2 straight months due to a fire break out from an 'undetectable source'. Surprisingly none of them were caused by Izzy, but Owen repeatedly cooking/reheating food at 3 in the morning

The ROTI cast in comparison to the rest of the casts are incredibly tight knit and go out of their way to meet up and keep in contact with each other. Anne Maria and Dawn are definitely the mom friends of the group.

Scott can be slimy, but he sure do loves his family a whole lot, and even though there's a lot of them, they're all really close. Initial reasoning to going back on TDAS was to help them cover what the entire family had given to get him to recover from being attacked by Fang

After a recording of a season is over (other than TDI), all contestants- former, current, the ones who aren't arrested- are all invited to stay at Playa Des Losers for a week (a shitty excuse to get all generations of cast members to interact to each other in my head...why yes)

The pinnacle of wealth to Scott was watching Shrek the Musical live and his first thought in what to do with the million in ROTI after the vague idea of investing in stocks was to bring all his family (and briefly in TDAS as a date with Courtney) to watch it

Duncan has a soft spot for Izzy. She's one of the only people who visit him while he's in prison. She drags along Team E-scope (+ Owen and Emma) to her visits sometimes

Shawn's first exposure to zombie related media was Plants vs Zombies. He has several sunflowers, pea plants, potatoes and a couple of walnut trees outside of his house that he says will mutate alongside the zombie virus pandemic to protect him. He owns and plays a lot of zombie video games in general alongside his huge collection of zombie movies and other zombie related media- other than PVZ, his favorite's The Last of Us

At Playa, Courtney and Gwen talk. It's one of the rare times Courtney owns up to her faults genuinely. And she tries to do the same thing with Scott but she can't bring herself to knock on his door. The prospect of things turning out like Duncan- even vaguely- made her blood grow cold.

Jo, Lightning and Brick meet Sky while they're hanging at Playa after the TDPI finale and chat her up while she seemed really down abt it all. After some chatting, a bit of insults thrown (thanks Jo), Brick's understanding sympathy, seldom seen empathy from Lightning, and a lot of racing and competing with each other, they become quite close. They keep in contact with each other afterwards- which is more than Sky can say about most of her relations on her own cast.

Speaking of; Sky keeps in contact with Ella, Jasmine (and since they're kind of a package deal, Shawn), oddly enough- though they weren't in the same team and didn't talk much on the island- Sammy, even more oddly enough Beardo- who she finds out just had a hard time opening up, and most oddly enough Leonard- who she finds out doesn't actually think he's a wizard and was just playing up one of his characters since he wasn't skilled in much anything else and wanted to see how far he got into the show with his whole wizard act. He even went out of his way to try it again alongside his friend Tammy in TDRR.

The small group does online DND campaigns that Sky occasionally joins in on in between juggling Olympic training, but they're mostly dominated by Sammy, Ella, Shawn, Beardo and some of Leonard's irl friends. Leonard DMs.

Eva knows how to crochet. Beth finds out in one of the Aftermath shows backstage, and they actually bond together over it. Well, after Eva threatens to kill her if she tells anyone

Courtney's really into musical theatre (won't admit to it but love West Side Story and Heahers). So are Mike (who's fav musical is Les Mis and Hadestown) and Ella (duh) (her favorite musical is Robert and Hammerstein's Cinderella)

Ella and Gwen are close cousins (as seen in TDR, but is otherwise not canon), and most are kind of shocked to find out. Ella would often bring up how Gwen would always gladly play the Evil Queen to her Princess when they were younger, where Gwen would retort by bringing up how bad Ella's tantrums were when she didn't agree.

The Best Friends subplot was scripted. Carrie is a lesbian, and Devin's aroace. A couple of d-list actors who also coincidentally are best friends

The Drama Network (as I'll call it) gets sued hard after Pahkitew airs. Not only for what happened in the season but a lot of prior incidents that weren't brought up in court- like Dakota's mutation, Scott being attacked by Fang, and the general endangerment of minors that happened in ROTI. Ditto with Pahkitew. Since TD was still a big hit, it didn't make much of a dent with the Network but still made it so they were weary of bringing the show back- which is why there hadn't been a new season for more than a decade in universe

I’m watching TDI Season 1 so now everyone has to hear my headcanons

Geoff and Trent are the two opposite ends of the himbo spectrum. I will not be elaborating.

Noah is gay. Owen, Geoff, Courtney, Leshawna, and Cody are bi. Heather is a lesbian.

Sadie and Katie are girlfriends.

Gwen, DJ, and Lindsey are nonbianary.

Heather’s not playing up a personality she really is just a bitch. Duncan however is playing up his “bad boy image”

After TDI ends DJ adopts a bunch of bunnies

Courtney isn’t actually THAT high strung it’s the stress of being on reality tv and trying to maintain a good image for the world. (I refuse to aknowedge the destruction of her character from that dumb love triangle)

Lindsey so the shock of literally everybody is a straight A student. It’s a mix of good guesses and a weird affinity for numbers.

Tyler isn’t actually on any sports teams. He’s a cheerleader.

Courtney’s jello fear comes from a severely unpleasant hospital experience where that’s all she could eat.

All the POC contestants(Leshawna, Katie, DJ, Courtney, Noah, Heather, and Justin) have a post TDI group chat. They didn’t wanna put Heather in it but eventually they did add her for solidarity. Doesn’t mean they have to like her.

Geoff does eventually take Gwen to a party. It’s the most excited anyones ever seen him at a party which is saying something.

Noah and Cody were dating even before TDI and thought it’d be funny to play up Cody’s crush on Gwen. That’s why he wasn’t that cut up about her rejecting him.

When Noah got eliminated he gave Cody the go ahead to try harder to impress Gwen bc if she did actually say yes(which he knew she wouldn’t) Cody would’ve earned it.

Beth is a Girl Scout. She got the highest rank. Like Eagle Scout but the Girl Scout one idk what it’s called.

Bridget Geoff Duncan and Courtney go on double dates sometimes. The girls and Geoff have fun. Duncan a little less so. But more than he’d willingly admit

Courtney relaxed her hair for TDI. Leshawna helped her fix it after they did water competitions.

Ok he was very nervous

Duncan doesn’t do these kind of things very well soo he’s just freaking out

Pulls himself together when you guys are out lol

Takes you to a simple movie and dinner (go simple and then do the extreme!!)

He actually want this night to go perfect with no mistakes

He’s a blushing mess when he sees you in your cute outfit for the date

As the date goes on he starts to feel more comfortable and loosens up and be chill

Geoff:

I think he’s very much chill with the relationship

Less nervous than Duncan

Takes you out to a carnival (gotta have fun on the first date. His rule)

Has won so many prizes for you lol

Gets a lot of snacks and you guys just eat them

You guys ride rides but y’all mostly eat lol

Loved how everything played out

Had the best time with you

And actually kissed on a Ferris wheel. Romantic😂

Trent:

He’s more likely take you to like a soft music poetry club where you can play music or perform poems on stage

He was a little nervous on how you would this date

He got you flowers🙂

any mtf duncan hcs/concepts my b ?! 👀💖✨

I am loving this concept, I feel like I’ve been seeking out a lot of trans/NB headcanons for characters since I’ve been free to explore my own gender identity more. That artwork I reblogged for FTM Duncan the other day is still playing on my mind, I kinda wanna send an ask to the artist to tell them how much I love it and how validating it is but I feel so awkward doing that when anon is off, then again when I do stuff anonymously I’m pretty sure you all know I sent it anyway!

One of my friends really likes the idea of genderfluid or MTF Duncan so I did some sketches a while ago for him to help us visualise it better. I struggled a bit getting the body right since I couldn’t find a TD body type to work from that fit but I feel like the aesthetic was pretty good. I live by the beach and we also have a pretty big punk/goth scene here too so a lot of the fashion is full of knee or thigh high boots, fishnets and ripped jeans type stuff, and a lot of crop or tank tops and I feel like Duncan would enjoy wearing those kinds of looks. I like the idea that Duncan really explores his identity through his fashion so some days are dressed down with baggy band shirts and other days he goes full on with those massive converse boots and jean shorts. Duncan also does a lot of stuff with piercings and having his hair dyed in canon so I can definitely see him experimenting with different piercings, jewellery, dye, and makeup.

I’ve mentioned a lot in private chat and I think at least a few times on my blog that Duncan struggles A LOT with toxic masculinity and identity issues. You can see it plain as day on the show that as much as he tries to play it off he cares so much about what others think of him, he’s constantly thinking of how he appears to others and wondering what they make of his image. Some of his behaviour also reeks of teenage boy putting up a front, a lot of his actions seemed pretty forced to me when I was watching like with the flirting and bullying, like he only did it because it was expected of him. That could just be me interpreting things wrong but I always thought something seemed really off about it. I feel like all this behaviour he’s exhibited would make it extremely hard for him to fully come to terms with his gender identity and that he wouldn’t be able to explore it, come out, or transition until he has some proper support in place like a councillor or support group.

Other ideas and things I like for this I guess are: Donna as a new name, DJ and Geoff changing their little trio’s name from Killer Bass Boys to Killer Bass Buddies to show their support, DJ taking Donna out on a ‘first date’ kinda thing as friends so she can get the whole chivalrous guy and pampered girl experience, Alejandro taking her on a genuine first date and being super in love with her because I’m Aleduncan trash, Heather and Courtney trying to teach her how to walk in heels and her looking like Bambi trying to walk for the first time, casually stealing some of the TDI girls clothes to try and see how they’d look on her, the girls letting her keep the stuff she stole because of how cute she looks wearing them.

* Duncan was born a week past his due date, from the beginning he only wanted to do things in his own time.

* I’ve said before that he has at least two brothers, he said in one episode of TDI that he used to take apart bikes with his brothers

* The middle child

* Totally a handful as a baby and a toddler, always getting into everything, climbing on everything, taking off his own diaper, just had to be monitored all the time lol

* Extremely cuddly with his momma though and with those big teal eyes she couldn’t ever stay mad at him.

* Said this in another post but, broke a lot of bones as a kid from climbing on stuff and jumping off things.

* Doesn’t have a good relationship with his father.

* Is actually very smart but doesn’t see the point in homework or studying.

* Very athletic but not one for team sports, mostly because he doesn’t want to listen to a coach and is constantly getting detention.

*Needs glasses but you’ll never see him in public without contacts (Courtney digs the glasses though).

* Will randomly show up home with a new piercing.

* Got his first tattoo at 15.

* Besides his ears, eyebrow, and nose, has a tongue and a nipple piercing.

* Frequents the tattoo/piercing parlor so much as a teen that he starts interning there.

* Does piercings for his friends all the time.

* Barely graduates high school but is already working as a tattoo artist by 18.
