for the four headcanons ask game: SQ, our wonderful son.

Headcanon A:  realistic

I think after leaving his father, he really dives headfirst into his art. At first it's a bit isolating, and he spends all day every day with his nose in a sketchbook. But then, he gradually begins to use art to decorate his space, and he learns embroidery and makes himself a jacket, and then he meets some friends and they go to cafes and draw together :D

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

I know the term "walkabout" here means a journey of self-discovery but I'm choosing to believe he's just taking a really long walk around the compound. He found an interesting patch of moss he's been inspecting for the past 3 days. His father is destroying the lives of countless individuals 40 paces away. Life is good.

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

After Reynie's betrayal, SQ decides his father was right about friends and decides to never make friends like that again. Only after he and Reynie talk it out and spend some time repairing their relationship so SQ's sure it won't happen again does SQ feel safe to start branching out and meeting new people.

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

Choosing to believe he moved in with Mr. Benedict after the events of the series and ends up having a great relationship with his uncle (albeit after a bit of a rocky start). This is canon to me and you can pry it from my cold dead hands.
