Sealed with a Kiss?
Series: Fairy Tail Setting: AU!Verse Pairing: NaLu Genre: Romance, Fantasy Summary: Unsealing a Demon from its prison was hardly a thing she planned for, but what was she to do when said Demon would not leave her alone?! A/N: When Edens Zero hasn’t given enough to write a good thing yet, I fall back on my favourite pairing.............with random ideas. :D I’m too tired and lazy to vet through this properly....................                                                                   [ Read on AO3 ]
There was nothing vaguely familiar about her surroundings ( besides green, green and more green ), though the woman could hardly fault anyone but herself. She was supposed to be holed up ‘safely’ in her ‘house’, yet she found herself wandering in the midst of a forest despite clear instructions to remain indoors. What was a young woman to do, trapped within four walls with absolutely nothing? It was a house, but it lacked the intimacy and warmth a home should have. Whilst she was reluctantly used to dissociation, it had been weeks, and the world beckoned and screamed her name. Exploration was a must for a new city, even a new town, but in a rural area like such where televisions were a rare thing? An adventure was the only thing that promised diverting experience.  Thus she had sneaked out of her prison, with a carefully packed bag in preparation, and her cell phone ( though it had no reception, it could function as a light if her flashlight failed her ). What could go wrong? She was careful, and she knew where she wanted to scout. There was a waterfall near a series of caves, a beautiful sight surely to inspire better writing. A few pictures would do no harm either. A picturesque location, would that not be a great place to relax? If she was to keep out of sight; trekking through the woods seemed like a far better alternative to the concrete cell they called a house in the middle of a quiet town.
Except, she was supposed to trek and wander, not slip, fall and become exceedingly lost as her paper map fluttered away into the depths of the woods. Her ankle, twisted, throbbed obnoxiously as she trudged, filthy outwear tied lazily onto the straps of her bag. The tank top was a far better choice for meandering through the thicket, she reasoned, though sulky that her jacket was now sullied with mud. Her shorts revealed the worst of her plunge; bloodied and bruised skin peeking through fabric.  But she would not last long, not with her injuries, not with her ribs still healing from the trauma before. The trauma that sent her to this forsaken place. She ought to be grateful that she still lived, but still she desired her own life back. It was taking far too long, just as it was taking her far too long to make her way somewhere safe. There were no wild beasts, as far as she could recall, but night would fall soon, and she had no wish of camping outdoors with nothing for the chill that was sure to set. A jacket would do little while she remained exposed under the wide sky. If she could not find her way out, she would have to find some shelter, at the very least.  She attempted to still her anxious heart, attempted to pay heed to her surroundings like she had researched. If she found the water source, she would find the caves -- that would have to do for the night. She needed to refill her bottle too, and hoped fervently that the water was not contaminated. Nothing like a stomachache to ruin the impromptu camping trip. She groused, but ultimately, the blame was upon her. She made her choices, now she had to live with them, all of them. Nonetheless, be it by a stroke of pure luck, or simply the newfound survival skills she recently developed, booted feet finally came across a stream. Upon her knees she went, finishing up the rest of the bottled water she brought before she splashed the refreshing coolness upon weary face, and slowly begun the arduous process of cleansing what wounds she could find. After filling up her bottle, she would have to go against the flow of the stream to find the caves by the waterfall. And she needed to hurry.  Her mobile phone still had no reception, but the time ticked by and she noted with chagrin that sunset was but a mere hour away. There was little time to lose. Thus she hobbled along with haste, sparing little breaks for her swelling ankle. Pain was one thing, but she had far more to lose if she stayed in the wilderness. The food in her bag would last her the night and more, her jacket would make a passable blanket.... If she could survive that, she could survive the night.  She barely made it. There was no time to admire the waterfall in the dimming light, though she spared the rejuvenating cascades a glance of appreciation and a quick snap of camera. She would have the time to do properly so tomorrow, for now, she needed to pick a suitable cave before her world was plunged into darkness. She had no ability nor tools to start a fire, though knowledge told her that sticks were sufficient. Light and warmth would escape her tonight unless her choice cave contained twigs of salvation. Carefully she peered; a feeble attempt to select one -- but she had no clues.  She allowed Fate to make the choice, and that, perhaps, was the biggest mistake she made.  Eyes squeezed shut, she summoned her intense desire for warmth and safety, imaging it into an arrow and assigning it the task of selection. It was not the mental arrow that guided her, however, but a sensation of what she craved emitting from the distance. It was illogical, how one could sense such a thing, absolutely ridiculous -- but since luck had a way of dancing to her, Lucky Lucy made her way to that particular cave.  It was not much; the entrance smaller than she thought it would be -- she barely managed to squeeze in, but one ought not to judge a book by its cover. Though the access was constraining, the interior of the cave proved to be ample. Enough space for her to sleep, and a small opening to restrict the entry of wind. It would have to do.  Burdensome bag struck the ground with a thump, flashlight obligating with its duty. There were no bones in sight, which was a good sign, it was no creature’s cave, and she would not wake to the terrifying agony of being eaten. Taking a deep breath just to be certain, she noted no lingering whiff of death or meat. She spied a connection of sorts further back, and with mobile phone in hand, elected to explore before she settled down for the night. She wanted to take a look at the swelling ankle, and was sure that she would have zero desire to move after boots were removed. In addition, there seemed to be warmness wafting from further back. If there was a source of warmth, that may be of use. Better to be warmer, after all. She strode, keeping to the stone walls as she made her way deeper, marveling at the capacity. The further she walked, the more she regretted not bringing her bag along. Her indignant stomach growled its displeasure, echoing into the depths of darkness. Groaning, she gritted her teeth, determined to see this through. Already feeling far warmer than she did at the mouth of the cave, curiosity kept her going.  It felt like forever, though her phone inclined to inform her otherwise, yet eventually, she arrived the innermost cavern; the warmest she had felt so far -- nonetheless she found no potential source for the heat, there was naught more than a strange red lizard pinned under a rock. Flashlight found the creature, light bouncing off the scales as tongue flicked. With such visual confirmation, there was no way she could allow it to remain trapped -- she was no cruel human. Like her, the lizard would survive the night, and more.  Thus she edged forward, muttering under her breath in an attempt to comfort herself. It was just a lizard. “Just a lizard.” It was not going to do anything to her. “Don’t jump on me, lizard. That’d be disgusting.” She was no fan of lizards, and who knew what diseases it may have! After all, it barely looked like any lizard she had ever seen before. Not that she studied lizards. “Don’t touch me, don’t touch me.” A devout chant she begun as she wedged the torchlight between face and shoulder, preferring to lift the rock with both hands. A devout chant she continued as she struggled with the rock, wondering why it was warm to the touch, and strangely enough, seemed to resonate. “I must be going insane, talking to a lizard and thinking that a rock is ‘resonating’. Maybe the stream’s water wasn’t so good after all....”  She could blame the water for all she wanted, but nothing could quite prepare her for the yell that followed as the lizard darted free and the rock fell to the ground, suddenly far lighter than it had been when she gripped it and freed the animal from what would have been its tombstone in a few days.                                             “I’M NOT A DAMN LIZARD!”  Its howl reverberated through the cavern, though in a different situation lips may curve with amusement at the high-pitched tone. Physically, it seemingly bore no damage from the immobilization of the load recently lifted. Instead upon claws did it rise and hiss, carving deep gouges into the solid stone, huffing a breath of dark flames that singed the edge of her already tattered shorts. She scrambled back with a screech, distressed vox resounding sharply. Despite the throe of pain pounding through her ankle, she wasted no time in patting out the glowing ember and putting as much distance as she could between herself and the demonic lizard. No animal could talk, and certainly no animal could spit fire! A DEMON ! It had to be a demon! She was going to be eaten by a demon because she disobey instructions to stay within her cell.  HOW WAS THIS LUCK?  And here she thought she was lucky to have survived that, and that she would survive the night lost in the woods. She choked on babbled words, a desperate plea for her life, “Please don’t eat me. I swear I probably won’t taste good, I’ve been eating terribly these past few days!” Yet in her unexplained fear, she made eye contact, despite every bone within her willing her not to; and as oculars met and darkness consumed what vision she had, Lucy Heartfilia came to regret her decision to leave the safe house.
It had to be the water.
IT WAS NOT. It took her a few minutes to properly rouse and consider her current situation, though she had no idea how long she was out cold for; but there was no mistaking the solid ground she laid upon, nor the swell upon head that was sure to grow. The reason was unclear, but somehow, somehow she had managed to lose consciousness upon the sight of the talking lizard; originally assumed ( or so she had desperately hoped ) to be but a hallucination, a result of water unsuitable for quenching thirst. Yet as she stared down at what was the aforementioned lizard, now nestled by her side, looking larger than before, and shockingly producing sufficient heat to keep her warm in the midst of the empty cave.....she was now convinced that she had either left the realm of the living and now resided in some strange form of hell -- or that demons definitely existed.  After all, what else would explain those sentient crimson eyes staring up at her and how tongue flicked across scrapped skin, or how its jaws parted and uttered words she would never imagine from a lizard?                                            “You’re pretty weak, aren’t you?” Feet crept up her form, though she was thankful to note the lack of deadly claws ripping skin apart ( especially when they so easily carved the solid rock ground ), still her writer brain churned terrifying possibilities that failed to fade; especially not when it inched up her side and stood upon chest to stare her in the eye. Be it the weight of the lizard, or fear that suppressed her voice; Lucy could only gawk helplessly as forked tongue flicked across her lips.  Despite the expected urge to hurl at the mere thought of a lizard in contact with her lips as though it was a kiss, her first kiss was not with a lizard!!! She refused to accept that as a fact! So Lucy attempted to grip the lizard and fling it as far away from her as she could, but once more, the emphasis remained on attempted. Her feeble attempt brought her no luck as the creature grew, not only in size, but also in weight. Scaly arms doubled in size, and doubled once more, a continuous growth as she stared in utter disbelief -- breath lost to both its rapidly increasing weight and shock.  Lizards. Do. Not. Grow. To. Such. Sizes. Especially not when its length extended beyond her height. But the true shocker came as scales fell off its form; each and every piece of the layer bursting into tiny flames that neither burned or hurt her in anyway, instead coming to envelope and surround her with what she deemed as a familiar warmth. Distracted and confused, she glanced at the fire dancing around her and once more, attempted to make sense of the situation -- but this day was only the beginning of her future with little sense, logic, and choices. Lucy Heartfilia has taken the step into the unknown, jumping out of the frying pan -- straight into the fire. For as she looked up from the embers that night, it was no lizard she came face to face with,                                                                but a man. This time, she promptly dealt him a solid right hook.

How to Discover Your Purpose?[Find your passion when you’re depressed]
Sally wanted to be a teacher when she was 8. At 12 she decided to become a pilot.
Then in late teens, her decision switched and she got a new aspiration – to become a supermodel. Life threw its reality after college, SALLY HAD to settle for a 9-5 cooperative job.
She is now tied in the monotony. Whenever she gets asked how is her day going, she is like,
“JUST THE USUAL”
Who is sally? Sally is the average population.
She is the commoner. She makes a decent amount of the world’s population.
Did Sally make any mistake? Yeah, she forgot to self-talk. She did not give herself enough time to discover her purpose.
Is it too late? No, it’s not. Why?
Because Sally is still breathing.
Sally realized that it matters that one lives a meaningful life. After all, one is living life anyway.
If you truly want to discover the purpose and passion of your life then this article has surely covered all the vital secrets to give you a head start.
If you are in college then extremely smart of you. But if you are living your mid-life and now deciding to re-discover yourself then YOU Deserve a standing ovation.
You have two choices: to live a life on purpose or let the clock run out meaninglessly.
And I know which one you chose. Let’s dig in.
What is the purpose? Is it a goal?
Well, no.
You need to realize that goal differs from purpose. The goal ends once it’s achieved.
While your purpose stays with you till your last breath. You continue to live your purpose until it’s finally time.
This purpose is the reason for your being.
It is the reason for which you get up every morning. And we all need such a reason for welcoming the next morning with excitement.
How to Discover You Purpose With Values?
The process of finding purpose can not get completed without tapping into the value system. The essence of your behavior is value.
What is that one thing that keeps you moving in the accomplishment of any goal?
It is the values you possess. These values keep on pushing you in accomplishing various life goals thus becoming the pivotal force in your life purpose.
Value → goal [accomplishments & milestones] → purpose [your true calling & the passion which ends when you die]
To give you a clear idea, assume that your goal is to buy a house and the underlying value behind it is you want a happy family.
Think of these values as a direction and these directions are meaningful.
These meanings are present in most of the career options. The key is to decide the value of a career.
If you will choose the career first without identifying the value you will get out of it then is surely your purpose or passion.
So the key here is not to break the chain of links. Else you will get lost. You need values, the compass for steering through life.
If you are like,
“Oh there are so many values . . . a person can surely get lost. ”
Well, you are right. Some people will care about rescuing the planet the most, while there will be others who will die in protecting the wildlife.
Some people will possess values of taking care of their family boundlessly, in which care the purpose of their life becomes focusing on the welfare of immediate loved ones.
STEP 1: Find Your Self-Centered Value
It is a personal value, as it is related to your growth as a human being.
The core values which are included in the personal values are: Self-Kindness and Compassion Personal Growth and Education { Someone can say my purpose is to learn as it is extremely important. It keeps me growing} Work and Career Leisure and Play Creativity Spirituality Physical Self-Care and Health { Someone can say my purpose is to take care of my body & remain healthy by exercise. If you are such a person then explore the layers. Why is it that important for you to stay healthy? What is your motivation? Do you want to get into a physically demanding career – keep shedding the layers by questioning}
Out of these basic personal values, your task is to rank and rate each value according to priority.
Are you like, “Oh this ranking is the problem. I can’t seem to make a decision. This is the tough part.”
3 ways to choose the most important personal value:
WAY 1: Find Passion when you are Depressed
You have no idea that your pain is your best teacher. It can best guide you about the stuff which you care about the most.
The process is simple. Just reflect on your life. See what you have gone through.
What were your sufferings? What did you lose? Imagine other people with similar sufferings. How does it impact you?
You might have lost something which can encourage you to help others. So they do not lose it the way you did.
Way 2: The Tombstone Technique
I have read this technique somewhere and GOD.
This is my favorite. Trust me, it will shake you. You can make this journey of finding your purpose easy by beginning with the end in mind.
Spoiler: We’ll all die one day. If we’ll remember this THE END then we’ll be in a better position of meaning-ful self-discovery.
Grab a sheet of paper and draw a tombstone. Write your name and a phrase beneath, “A person who . . .”
Now, imagine your time has come.
You departed. Situate yourself in a time which immediately follows your death.
You are watching your tombstone being carved. The essence of your whole life is expressed in that very line.
What are you imagining that is being written?
The core?
Feel the words in your heart as those words reflect the vision that mattered the most.
What comes up? Is it something you wish you had not done?
Or you had done differently?
If that sentence on the tombstone echoes your life purpose then question yourself how far or close you are from that ideal life that you want to be known for.
WAY 3: Survival Technique
The best way to filter the personal value and settle on the most important is my survival technique.
Imagine that you are on the boat, about to reach the shore.
You have a bag that has all the personal values listed above.
Now, your boat is getting unbalanced and you will have to throw personal-values from the bag into the sea to maintain the balance and to reach the shore.
Pick out the values one by one without which you can survive.
Do this till you have a single personal value left. As by now, you have reached the shore!
And this value Is the direction which you should take in life.
STEP 2: Linking value with service for larger purpose
{If you do not feel the need of servicing and you are satisfied with the fulfillment of just personal value then you can skip this step}
Well, most of the time you want to self-grow and also serve the larger mankind. Like you might want a career through which you could grow yourself and make a real difference in others’ lives.
CORE SERVICE Family Friendships or Other Social Relationships Community and Volunteerism The Environment and Nature
This intertwining suggests that service values flow from your self-growth values. For instance, if your core value is compassion{personal value} then you start a business to raise money for any cause and to raise public awareness. {Community and Volunteerism Service}
Before you dive straight into the useful technique of finding your true purpose, scan these VITAL KEY POINTS.
There are certain vital things that you must drill into your head before finding your passion. And they are briefed below.
8 KEY ACTION POINTS of Finding Purpose:
1- Kill expectations of others
When finding your passion you need to detach it from what others expect of you. Kill the expectations. One of the most important prerequisites in finding your purpose.
Don’t become a victim to people’s expectations. You are a creator not a victim. Choose the life you please, rather than the one decided by others.
The best way to put this practice is to make a list of everything that is expected from you. From your job, appearance, sex, age, or marital status.
If hinted generally then these expectations can be about the type of job you must-have, the type of spouse you should have, or the type of appearance you should have.
Once you get this unhealthy list status quo, I wish I could say go against it but rather detach such expectation when finding the purpose.
This de-anchoring is vital. Picture yourself as a ship. It has to get de -anchor from the harbor for conquering SEAS.
Similarly, win the tough tides of your life by freeing yourself from the expectations.
Note: If you find this hard then just think that there are plenty of other people present who are blindly supporting the status quo for you.
Why would you volunteer your youth, body, mind, and life towards something you despise?
Why would you volunteer these things towards supporting the status quo?
There are plenty of other people who will support the status quo for you.
2- Don’t switch the words.
Don’t mistake the purpose with the obligations and duty. This is the most common slip up found in the majority of people that they mix the TWO.
For instance, you might find yourself caught up in an under-valued job and you will justify working because you have bills to pay/family to look after.
If you are crazy about your job then yes it can become your purpose which also fulfills the obligation.
But if you just “ought to” do the job then this surely not the purpose – merely a duty. What to do in that case?
If you can’t leave a job because it’s a duty then pursue your purpose in parallel.
If you can enjoy the liberty to leave the job then follow your passion as that will automatically fulfill all your monetary obligations.
KEYNOTE: Do not fully volunteer your whole mind, body, and life towards something you despise.
3- Detach Money
When finding your purpose and passion detach the element of money.
Remember that force has to get exerted from the correct position else the force will not be useful. Take the example of a door.
If you will apply the force from the hinge, the pivot itself then will the door every get opened? No right.
By applying the same force to the other parts of the door, you will surely get the door moving.
The same is the case when it comes to finding a purpose that is here is the force.
If you will find the purpose while positioning yourself in the money worry then you will never be able to open the door of your destiny. . . of what you were meant to do.
Thus shift the position and instead of asking the question from money’s position ask it from the position of your heart.
Yes, money is vital. But it is bound to follow once you know your purpose and work towards it.
Right Purpose itself will wield the money so you could enjoy everything.
What mostly happens is the other way round. People decide their true calling based on high paying jobs.
They do end up in high paying jobs. But guess what. They experience a lack.
There remains a vacuum between them and their happiness, even though they are cramming their heads off 24/7.
So In short: [The equation is not money → purpose but purpose → money].
Alright, I get.
What is the workaround? You ask? Well. question yourself,
“What would I spend my days doing if I didn’t have to worry about money?”.
To reach your true purpose you can better ask “How would I spend my days if I have 10 million dollars in my bank account?”
Note: Just remember this prerequisite when you will dig deeper into purpose exploration below.
4- Find the layers.
Every purpose has several tentacles like the branches of trees.
There will always be a target behind the target. So always go to the deepest layer or the target. If you want to do X in life then it’s because you want to achieve Y which enables you to get Z.
This XYZ here forms just three layers but you can have as many as your mind signals. Think of this purpose behind purpose theory as the mission statements of organizations.
If we talk about educational institutes then their purpose is to educate[X] students because they want others to achieve fulfilling life through education[Y].
So, you get the idea. There is no rule of the count of such placeholders XYZ.
But there are at least two layers and at most is determined by your mind.
5- Watch out airy-fairy sayings:
Don’t use the common saying,
“Do what you love and the money will follow” against you. Sounds confusing?
Well, passion is surely a driving factor in finding purpose but don’t mistake passion as an excuse for doing something comfortable and easy.
Yes, many do that. People have passions to live a financially independent life without working hard.
Some possess a passion for creating mindful life and that too without altering the deep-rooted flawed belief systems.
The fairy line is surely magical but only if you are not afraid of risking, working, and exhausting yourself for that passion.
6- Enjoy the celebration
Assume that you have already started the journey towards your passion.
If you truly want to confirm that it is your passion or not then try celebrating. Be it small.
If that celebration is giving you true happiness then great my friend your purpose is attuned with your destiny.
Though, there can be the opposite case as well. For instance, take John who receives the businessman of the year award every damn year . . .
But he feels some sort of lack in the celebrations. Yes, he loves his business and the empire he has set up.
But he feels the lack because he has not yet discovered the larger purpose which might be serving the community in any way. Who knows?
But one thing is clear that for all those years John has been chasing meaningless tokens.
Note: Success on the surface level does not guarantee that you have aligned with your true purpose.
7- Face it
One of the keys to identifying something as your passion is questioning yourself.
You need to question whether you can live with consequences of your choices.
Any purpose would not be a purpose if that does not own an element of self-trust.
If you can handle the consequence which you might face in the direction of living with a specific purpose then it truly is your passion.
8- Leap From Dreamer to Doer
We all are dreamers! Highly imaginative people!
You have been hearing that everything starts from a dream but no one tells you that everything can end from a dream. How can everything end?
If you will not switch from dreamer to doer. After finding your purpose, you need to become a practical dreamer.
I have seen people who after discovering their passion will throw themselves in the playful and fun part of their purpose, avoiding the difficult half.
This action then resulted in the draining of bank accounts and the straining of relationships.
After finding your “WHY” in life, remain true to the commitment.
Final words for discovering your purpose and passion

The core values which are included in the personal values are: Self-Kindness and Compassion Personal Growth and Education { Someone can say my purpose is to learn as it is extremely important. It keeps me growing} Work and Career Leisure and Play Creativity Spirituality Physical Self-Care and Health { Someone can say my purpose is to take care of my body & remain healthy by exercise. If you are such a person then explore the layers. Why is it that important for you to stay healthy? What is your motivation? Do you want to get into a physically demanding career – keep shedding the layers by questioning}
{If you do not feel the need of servicing and you are satisfied with the fulfillment of just personal value then you can skip this step}
Well, most of the time you want to self-grow and also serve the larger mankind. Like you might want a career through which you could grow yourself and make a real difference in others’ lives.
CORE SERVICE Family Friendships or Other Social Relationships Community and Volunteerism The Environment and Nature
This intertwining suggests that service values flow from your self-growth values. For instance, if your core value is compassion{personal value} then you start a business to raise money for any cause and to raise public awareness. {Community and Volunteerism Service}
