Hello, I've been reading and re-reading TAC since I was 10 years old and probably sent you reviews over it and those re-read mentions across that decade 😭 It is so insane to me...that across all that time, you haven't somehow let go of Pokemon and tossed all your fics in a locked box under the bed and vanished off the internet, like you're still HERE. And a lot of us now in our 20s are also still here. And we still love it. I always think of TAC as one of the staple classics of the fandom, and cite your fic as what it takes to write and develop such a complex interconnected plot with such a huge cast and sending them on a journey and somehow, managing to devote screen time to everyone in fairness that lets them contribute in someway. How that's even part of the struggles sometimes. Your fic straight up changed my brain chemistry and whenever I am suffering the drought I end up metaphorically bashing my head against the wall sobbing and thinking "how many times am I going to have to reread TAC for what I want this is the ONLY fic in existence..." this is the only place I can get my food T^T I wish it wasn't the case but alas, nobody can do it like you. One of the things that will always stick with me is the dialogue and conversations you wrote, especially between the adults and other characters. Something so real, and heavy, and wise, and messy, and applicable to what you can even call YA fiction maybe. That's the kind of energy I'd like to develop as a writer too. You started your fic with a message from 1997 to 2013, for those who believed in Ash, it sounded like such a serious message to kid me, and it was true, it was a legendary fic you delivered. Thank you.
