you know what, here's some tumblr tips from a veteran :)

if you use desktop, you can customize your theme as much as you want! this isn't as hard as it sounds, due to the fact that NUMEROUS people make themes for free use. theme-hunter is a good starting point, if you wanna do that

blocking and filtering is a god sent. you can filter tags under settings, specifically filtered tags, or filtered post content. the first filters by tag only, the second by post content (so if someone doesn't tag a certain word, that'll catch it)

there's honestly not really any rules to tumblr? if you wanna reblog a bunch, go for it! if you wanna keep that to a sideblog, and only post art here, go ahead! your blog is pretty much for you. so post whatever you want!

blocking people. good

there's no real follow back thing, which i know was huuuuge on twitter. so if someone starts posting stuff you don't want to see, you can just unfollow them! people do not care

if you want to follow more people, i highly recommend doing some tag scrolling! just search for something you're into (a fandom, art, cooking, etc etc) and check out a bunch of blogs! personally, i love scrolling the tags, though i can be a real hazard- but! that's where tag filtering comes in too

you can turn off anon, or just asks in general, as you want. you can also turn them back on! basically, if people starts being dicks, you can just remove their ability to do so at you entirely

don't censor words! this is both because that makes it harder for people to filter them, and also because a lot of us finds it super silly

however!! tumblr's search function is. pretty broken, so if you complain about a ship, or groups of people, it's probably a good idea to censor it in some form. especially with ships, because the post will then show up in the ship's tag, which. not what anyone wants!

the original poster of a post can see anything you add to their post. this includes tags. so while it's generally a good idea not to be a jerk in the tags, they are also for your benefit, and is generally used as a mix of comment section and organization tool. though even that is up to the individual

honestly, tumblr is super laid back and really customizable. you aren't forced to see anything you don't want, and you're entirely in control of your experience here! the best way to keep in touch with the 'community' as a whole is what's on trending, but even that is easy to avoid, if that's what you want

basically, just post what you want, tag it if you want people to see, and vibe! unlike twitter, this is more of a fan space, so while there's no real way to like, make business connections, it's a lot more chill

On the future of TFA SG

From time to time I'll get messages about when/if I will be updating the SG comic. Lately I had been considering quickly sketching over whatever needs filling in and just dumping part 2/3 of the latest comic. While many parts of it will be filled with incomplete art at least people can get a conclusion to the comic as that story was meant to serve as a starting point/"origin" of the AU my friend and I had created.

As you can tell I found myself working on other things than the comic since it's not my job and I don't get paid for it. Making those comics were fun and rewarding as it was great practice for learning how to make comics which I've applied to my own creations/stories. Heck just this year I began working on a dating sim with this same friend that I think has a lot of potential. When that will release I can't say but I hope others look forward to updates on it's status and when it's complete.

It may disappoint some but I had planned on after uploading parts 2/3 of that story I would probably cease making more comics. In total that comic would be 18 pages long, and that's a lot of work for a fan comic that makes no money and is done in my free time. Especially when I'm sort of mimicking an art style that isn't mine. That's a lot of work for one artist who's laying out the comics, sketching, inking, colors, etc. I still like the potential TFA SG has, but any future art I do for it will probably be sketches or doodles. Maybe an illustration here or there if I get a really good idea or if I'm commissioned.

I want to thank people that followed me for my TF content especially TFA SG in general. It's a niche I was able to fill in but I have other interests + real life to deal with. This year had many changes in my life and more are to come. The AU does come to my mind from time to time, especially after I attended TFCon last week. I appreciate the fandom for being filled with mostly chill people and even ones that support talent in the fandom. I bought my PC in 2021 and got to attend two TFCons thanks to commissions from Transformers fans.

Also an apology for not responding to DMs. Sometimes I forget or just don't have energy to respond as I treat Tumblr as a dumping site for my work. I'm much more active on Twitter but as we know that site has gone down the shitter. I'm not too bummed about that though as I've gone to other alternatives such as Blue Sky. I also post on Newgrounds as that's a site that allows for actual feedback from others. I also just got verified on Vgen too.

Also a huge thanks to those that came for my Transformers art in general but stayed regardless of what I draw. Whether it be because you like my style or we have similar tastes I do appreciate it immensely.

question: you're a big blog and everything so im a bit curious. Is the yandere side of tumblr comparably friendlier than other sides? like I'm always seeing discourse on other blogs and they tend to get into fights, while the yan side is just chilling. But I'm also aware that I don't have that large of a following and I don't really follow many blogs, so I'm kind of sheltered in away? Idk, what's your thoughts on the yandere tumblr community? At least, the genshin one

I noticed this too and now that you put it in words I'd say you're right!!

Something I noticed about dark content creators is how most are incredibly open about everything they do and are always willing to discuss anything and everything, I'm not even sure I can name someone who wouldn't welcome you with open arms. It also needs to be said that we're aware that what we are writing for wouldn't fly irl under any circumstance but that's what makes this so fun, it's literally just pure fantasy and everyone is here to indulge. If yandere or anything similar to that just isn't your thing you just walk away!

The Genshin community heavily depends on the platform. I'm strictly speaking from my PERSONAL experience but the worst one I'd say is on Twitter (come on guys...), Instagram is just chilling, drawing fan art although I've seen some dumb comments that shouldn't even be there despite the creator tagging everything accordingly 🙃 As for Tumblr it gets weird, hear me out on this one and you're more than welcome to tell me if I'm wrong BUT I feel like the Genshin fandom here (at least some people) have these weird unfulfilled desires and they themselves aren't sure what they are. They take comfort in the characters but whenever something goes wrong by THEIR book then it's time to witch hunt and whatnot. Tumblr is also a beehive of assholes who think they're better than you simply because they think they're on the moral high ground thus making them qualified to judge others. I once wrote something for Kaeya who falls for an older woman and in the end it's implied that he assaults her. I tagged it accordingly and most people really liked it but I got an ask calling me an ableist and that I should "grow up" for using the "r word". Considering that this hellsite really IS a hellsite I'm honestly shocked with how positive my experience on here was. I think I received maybe one (1) death threat, that ask I mentioned before and probably some weird stuff I can't be bothered to remember but other than that my entire Tumblr experience has been nothing other than heavenly. People here were so kind and good to me, not to mention friendly and welcoming, just very amazing people in general whom I all wish nothing but the best in their lives, and I mean it. I hope they're healthy, happy, eating good food and drinking well, I want all of their dreams to come true and everything in between. I can't begin to describe just how good people can be and that goodness really does trump all of the nonsense in between. Everything I've said has been highly subjective and just my own personal thoughts, so take it with a grain of salt because it's always different for everyone.

I can't say the official stance for all of us, but I for one am not anti any specific group, I'm just anti-asshole.

Have your views, but stop with the preformitive bullshit. Live and let live and block freely.

And you know what I'm not fucking checking every fucking blog on this cursed fucking website to make sure I'm not on someone's stupid ass DNI. That's YOUR responsibility and if you don't like me block me. Not mine.

I exist online to do whatever the fuck, and if you don't like what I say that's on you. I'm not your babysitter or parent or guardian or therapist or friend. I'm a stranger online.

Quite frankly, I also don't go out of my way to do more than a cursory glance at someone's blog if they reblogged from me, and that's only usually if theyve done it multiple times, and usually only to decide if we want to follow them or not. Never to figure out if they like things I hate or hate things I am. If I happen to find that out and it makes me uncomfortable it's my responsibility to decide to block them. And it really doesn't even warrant a block in most cases.

Here's the thing, we are actually fairly successful artists. Not on tumblr but on twitter.

I have my views and opinions, but I don't really give a shit if someone I hate likes my art. The only time I end up blocking people is when they encroach on my personal boundaries. But someone just retweeting my art isn't a boundary I can enforce. I posted it TO SHARE.

Then in my opinion, unless someone is directly engaging you (replies, asks, dms, or inciting harrassment) who gives a single shit if they reblog your post, yeah?

He just shrugs and you take Grogu away and say that your kids WILL N O T learn how to do any of that stuff until they are atleast teenagers

Boba pouts because you ruined his and Grogu's bonding time

When Din comes to pick up Grogu, Grogu looks him in the eye and says "cocksucker"

Din has a heart attack and Boba laughs as you yell at him asking where he heard that

Grogu says that he heard uncle Boba say it while on the phone

Din tries to follow Paz’s recipes from his YouTube, and it always turns out badly and you have to come in and save it

Din totally loves Pewdiepie's humor

Din gets frustrated with social media and ends up just making an empty account so he can follow you and watch videos, but after the whole Pedro Pascal disaster he never posts anything

Grogu and you are his profile picture though

When Grogu goes around telling the kids at school he is the mandalorian he just sighs

And when all of the kids start quoting the show, he just starts quoting them back so they will stop bothering him

When Din announced the pregnancy Paz got so excited to have another nephew/niece

Paz lets Din hold the baby shower at the restaurant and he makes all of the food, including little gender reveal cake pops

Paz gifts the two of you a photo album at has pictures of the two of you and grogu, but it is still half empty so you can add more memories of your expanding family

Boba just hands Din house keys a day says the place is paid off and he's covering the bills for the first year (he also had a nice play set built in the backyard for Grogu)

I find it interesting how different CCs present lore and their character in ever so slightly different ways that enhance the lore so much, like for example I've noted that most of Wilbur's acting relies on using his face-cam as an extension of his character. Many of c!Wilbur's true feelings and motives can be clearly seen by the audience with him just expressively raising his eyebrow. I think that's what people mischaracterizing c!Wilbur tend to completely ignore. Sometimes he says things that completely contradict his current facial expression, or things that can be taken in a completely different light, and it's our job as the audience to take these inconsistencies into consideration. I think the most recent example for this is from the A Year Later lore stream.

I've seen a few takes based on this specific scene, l and what I've seen most of them do is talk about how Wilbur seemed almost disinterested at Tubbo while he burst into tears, even leading away Ranboo to follow him instead of comforting his sad husband.

I feel like this scene is the opposite, he's actually respecting Tubbo's boundaries, and leading Ranboo away to Tubbo can deal with his emotions without getting overwhelmed. You can see him wait for Ranboo to ask him first, and then for Tubbo's response before quickly leading him away when Ranboo asks a second time after Tubbo declines. I can't really give that facial expression a name, so i'm just going to call it the "ah, this probably isn't the right time to push him more" face.

He may have fucked up big time the way he treated Tubbo and especially what happened in the Red Festival, but he does one hundred percent care about Tubbo. There is no doubt about it. That does not mean he needs to be trusted, or forgiven, on the contrary actually. Tubbo should stand his ground and set boundaries until he's comfortable otherwise, but erasing parts of Wilbur's personality to villainise him and make him seem apathetic are not the ways to go about it.

It's really cool to see what mediums different CCs use to enhance the way they act to involve the audience more.

I think I might start a new tumblr account or just.. leave this site. I just keep on finding that I just do not give a fuck about this place and I just am having consistent issues on desktop, even with xkit (I'm using firefox). I.... fuck I don't know it's like fucking 3am. At least twitter is fucking usable, honestly. If you're curious what I've been up to, I've:

Looked at ho/mest/uck and proceeded to walk in the complete and utter opposite direction of that mess.

Gotten into bu/g fa/bles.

Got out of b/ug fa/bles because of how horny people are.

Got into some ja/panese game that I'm not even going to fucking mention.

Picked up ja/panese again.

Got into ko/rean stickman community

Picked up learning korean (I'm extremely beginner like unironically do not even test me I will die).

I'm kind of just trying to find an interest right now that doesn't cause me to immediately fucking gag from how the community treats certain topics. Ko/rean stickman community seems to be the one right now honestly. Yeah they're a bit strict on the fe/minism stuff but like compare that to literally anything else. It's a bit refreshing, if anything. Ameri/can-fe/minism always felt a bit lax on certain subjects. R/adfe/m was less so, but.. well, I shouldn't need to explain how that's bad.

But I don't know I don't really know enough Ko/rean to comprehend what they're saying without google translate existing. My ko/rean bf is also a biiit on the fence on that but tbh the dude had some wack takes sometime before we ended up being friends + eventually dating. So. Frankly whatever. But right now? Shits seeming okay.

Outside of that, I.. still really haven't found much I'm enjoying right now. I've just consistently found myself disappointed in basically everything. I've started to grown used to just ignoring most politics in the media I'm consuming but I'm getting tired of that. I want something nonproblematic that I can genuinely enjoy creating art for, and.. I just... I'm not finding it. I'm not even really seeing creators that own up to their mistakes and change. It's... I'm tired.

I'm just chilling with my friends on discord, at this point. Honestly I think that's all I really need right now. The whole c0r0/nav1/rus stuff is stressful, and I'm just vibin. The mu/rder ho/rne/ts are also pretty fucking terrifying though ngl, haven't stepped a foot outside since I heard about that.

It's like 5am now. I think I'll stop here. I dunno what I'm gonna do with this account. Honestly im a bit nostalgic with tumblr.
