Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen -Rahimahullaah- said:

'When a person counters afflictions with patience but without hoping for a reward then the result is an expiation for his sins, however if he is patient along with hoping for a reward then the condition becomes such that along with expiation of sins, there is a reward and recompense.

The meaning of hoping for a reward is that a person believes that he will be rewarded for this patience, so he has good thoughts about Allaah and therefore, Allaah will give him what he thought of Allaah.'

«ضعف العقيدة هو المرض الحقيقي الذي يجب عـلاجه بمعرفة التوحيد والعقيدة الصحيحة».

The Sheikh Saalih Al Fawzaan, may Allaah preserve him said:

"The weakness of Aqeedah is the real sickness, which must be cured by (learning and) knowing about At Taw'heed and the Authentic Aqeedah (Creed)"

Don't despair!!! Don't lose Hope!

الشيخ_صالح_الفوزان-حفظه الله-:

"لا ييأس الإنسان عندما تكثر الفتن وتكثر الشرور فإنه يطمئن نفسه ويطمئن غيره عند حدوث الفتن، ويقول:

The Sheikh Saalih Al Fawzaan حفظه الله : "A person should not despair when fitan (trials) and evil are increasing. He calms himself and other than him when the trials occur, and say:

الحمدلله نحن على هدى، وعلى دين واضح، والفرج قريب، والشر يزول- بإذن الله ".

'All the Praise is for Allaah, we are upon guidance and upon a clear path (Deen) and relief is near, and the evil will deplete - by Allaah's permission.' "

The most significant virtues of knowledge continue:

قال الشيخ بن العثيمين رحمه الله:

٦-"أن أهل العلم هم القائمون على أمر الله تعالى حتى تقوم الساعة، ويستدل لذلك بحديث معاوية – رضي الله عنه – يقول سمعت النبي – صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول:" من يرد الله به ��يراً يفقهه في الدين وإنما أنا قاسم والله معطي، ولن تزال هذه الأمة قائمة على أمر الله لا يضرهم من خالفهم حتى يأتي الله بأمره " رواه البخاري  وقد قال الإمام أحمد عن هذه الطائفة:" إن لم يكونوا أهل الحديث فلا أدري من هم " وقال القاضي عياض – رحمه الله -: " أراد أحمد أهل السنة ومن يعتقد مذهب أهل الحديث "

Sheikh Ibn Al Uthaymeen رحمه الله said:

6- " That the people of knowledge are the establishers of the commandments of Allaah till Judgment day, and the Hadeeth of Mu'aawi'ah رضي الله عنه indicates that, saying that 'I heard The Prophet ﷺ saying: (( Whoever Allaah wants good for, He makes him understand the Deen (religion), and I am only one who divides and Allaah is the One who (actually) gives. This Ummah (Nation) will remain upon the establishment of the commandments of Allaah and nothing will harm them from whosever opposes them till Allaah comes with his command (Judgement) ))'. -reported by Bukhaari. Indeed Imaam Ahmad said about this group of people: 'if they are not the people of Hadeeth, then I don't know who they are.' And Al qaadii I'yaad رحمه الله said: 'Imaam Ahmad meant Ahlu Sunnah and whoever thinks it's the methodology of the people of Hadeeth.' "

قال الشيخ ابن عثيمين رحمه الله

إذا رأيت من نفسك أن أوقاتك ضائعة بلا فائدة فيجب عليك أن تلاحظ قلبك، فإن هذا لا يكون إلا من غفلة القلب عن ذكر الله تعالى، ولو نظرت فيما سبق من التاريخ كيف أنتج العلماء رحمهم الله ما أنتجوا من المؤلفات ومن فطاحل العلماء الذين تخرجوا على أيديهم في أوقات قد تكون أقل من الوقت الذي عشته أنت، وذلك بسبب ما ملأ الله تعالى به قلوبهم من ذكره.

Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen, رحمه الله said: "If you realize from yourself, that your time is wasted without any benefit, then observe your heart. Indeed this does not happen except due to negligence of the heart from the remembrance of Allaah, The most High. If You look to history, how the Scholars - may Allaah have mercy on them, were able to produce what they produced from books and the famous Scholars who graduated upon their hands in terms of periods, it may be less than you have lived. That is because of what Allaah filled their hearts with, from the remembrance of Him."

*❗فضل أذكار النوم❗*

Benefit of the remembrances (supplications) before sleeping.

▪️‏قال الشيخ صالح الفوزان حفظه الله:

«إذا كان الإنسان نام على غير ورد؛ لم يقرأ بآية الكرسي عند النوم؛ ولم يقرأ سورة الإخلاص والمعوذتين عند النوم فإنه يتسلط عليه الشيطان من أجل أن يضله أو من أجل أن يكدّر عليه نومه ويزعجه لأنه يأتيه بمزعجات يرى أشياء يكرهها».

The Sheikh Saalih Al Fawzaan حفظه الله said:

"If a person sleeps without any remembrance (supplication); he didn't recite Aayatul Kur'siyyi when about to sleep; nor suuratul Ikhlaas and the last two Suurahs before sleeping, then certainly Shaytaan gains authority over him in order to misguide him or cause his sleep to be a distress upon him and disturbs him because he (Shaytaan ) comes to him with disturbances - he sees things in his sleep"

ومن أهم فضائل العلم ما يلى :

The most significant virtues of knowledge are as follow:

قال الشيخ بن العثيمين، رحمه الله:

١- إنه إرْتُ الأنبياء : فالأنبياء - عليهم الصلاة والسلام - لم يورثوا درهما ولا دينارا ، وإنما ورثوا العلم ، فمن أخذ بالعلم ، فقد أخذ بحظ وافر من إرث الأنبياء، فأنت الآن في القرن الخامس عشر ، إذا كنت من أهل العلم ، ترث محمد ، وهذا من أكبر الفضائل.

The Sheikh Ibn Al Uthaymeen, رحمه الله said:

1- "It is certainly the inheritance of the Prophets. The Prophets - عليهم الصلاة والسلام, did not leave behind Dir'ham nor Dinaar (money), instead they left behind knowledge, whoever takes the knowledge has indeed taken a great fortune from the inheritance of the Prophets. If you now are in the fifteenth century, and from the people of knowledge, you are inheriting Muhammad ﷺ, and this is from the greatest virtues."

قال الشيخ بن العثيمين رحمه الله:

٥- أن أهل العلم هم أحد صنفي ولاة الأمر الذين أمر الله بطاعتهم في قوله): يا أيها الذين آمنوا أطيعوا الله وأطيعوا الرسول وأولي الأمر منكم ) ( النساء، الآية: 59) فإن ولاة الأمور هنا تشمل ولاة الأمور من الأمراء والحكام، والعلماء وطلبة العلم، فولاية أهل العلم في بيان شريعة الله ودعوة الناس إليها وولاية الأمراء في تنفيذ شريعة الله وإلزام الناس بها .

Sheikh Ibn Al Uthaymeen said: 

5 - "The people of knowledge are one of the two parts of the people of authority (leaders), those Allaah commanded obedience to them in His statement: 'O you who believe! Obey Allaah and obey the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority... ' - An Nisaa: 59. Indeed the people of authority referred here comprise people in authority such as leaders, governors, Scholars and students of knowledge. Thus, the leadership of the people of knowledge is to clarify the laws of Allaah and call people to them (laws) and the authority of the leaders is to implement the laws of Allaah and oblige people upon them(laws)."

The path (Man'haj) is everything.

‏قال العلامة صالح بن فوزان الفوزان حفظه الله:

"ليست العبرة بكثرة العمل ولا بكثرة البكاء، وإنما العبرة في الطريق الذي عليه الإنسان".

The Scholar Saalih Fawzaan Al-fawzaan, حفظه الله said:

"The moral (of Islaam) is not by abundance of deeds nor abundance of tears, instead the moral is in the path (Man'haj) upon which a person is"

قال رسول اللهﷺ :

” إنَّ اللهَ تباركَ وتعالى إذا أحَبَّ عَبدًا نادى جِبريلَ: إنَّ اللهَ قد أحبَّ فُلانًا فأحِبَّهُ، فيحبُّهُ جبريلُ، ثم يُنادي جبريلُ في السماء: إنَّ الله قد أحَبَّ فلانًا فأحِبُّوهُ، فيحبُّهُ أهلُ السماء، ويُوضَعُ له القَبولُ في أهل الأرض“.

The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said:

"Indeed when Allaah, The Most High and blessed is He, loves a servant, He calls Jibreel, 'indeed Allaah loves so and so, therefore love him', then Jibreel loves him as well, then Jibreel calls unto the dwellers of the heaven, informs them that Allaah has certainly loved so and so, therefore love him as well, then the dwellers of the heaven love him as well. Then acceptance is put in (the hearts of) the people of the Earth towards him."

٠ معنى "حق تلاوته "...

Meaning of Haqqah Tilaawatihi (True recitation )

٠ قال الشيخ ‎صالح الفوزان حفظه الله :

﴿الَّذينَ آتَيناهُمُ الكِتابَ يَتلونَهُ حَقَّ تِلاوَتِهِ أُولئِكَ يُؤمِنونَ   بِهِ ﴾.

The Sheikh Saalih Al Fawzaan حفظه الله said:

((Those (who embraced Islam from Bani Israel) to whom We gave the Book [the Taurat (Torah)] [or those (Muhammad's ﷺ companions) to whom We have given the Book (the Quran)] recite it (i.e. obey its orders and follow its teachings) as it should be recited (i.e. followed), they are the ones that believe therein.))

• حَقَّ تِلاوَتِهِ : ليس هو مثل ما يظن بعض الناس أنه التجويد ومخارج الحروف والغنة والإدغام والمدود ليس هذا حق تلاوته إنما هذا كيفية تلاوته .

True Tilaawah (recitation) is not the like of what some people think of it being Taj'weed (perfecting the recitation), mentioning the letters (well), Gunnah (nasal sound), Id'gaam (insertion) and prolongations. This is not True recitation rather it's how to recite it (The Qur'aan).

• ‏وحق تلاوته: العلم بمعانيه، والعمل به .

And 'Haqqah Tilaawatihi': KNOWING ITS (THE QUR'AAN'S ) MEANINGS AND WORKING WITH IT.

Whoever thinks time has changed, so should Islaamic legislations.

قال الشّيخ صالح الفوزان حفظه الله :

ومن زعم أنّ الوقت قد تغيّر ، وأنّ حكم الكتاب والسّنّة كان زمان قد مضى وأنّ الحال في الوقت الحاضر يقتضي أن يؤتى بحكم يناسب الوقت الحاضر ، كما يقولون : فهذه ردّة عن دين الإسلام .

The Sheikh Saalih Al Fawzaan - May Allaah preserve him, said:

"Whoever thinks time has changed and that the legislation of the Book (Qur'aan) and Sunnah is past and (thus) a legislation is to be brought to suit this current time, just like they say; (then) this is apostasy (abondoning) from the religion of Islaam"
