The god glanced up from his phone, the idle scrolling distracting him while he slowly drank his old fashioned. A bit hard to remember quite how many he had had at this point, but its not like mortal alcohol had much of an effect on him.

Pulling a cigarette from the pack in his back pocket, he felt around for his lighter. Muttering a short curse when he couldn't find it in his pockets or jacket, he looked around for a matchbook or something. Noticing the person sitting closest at the bar, he motioned to get their attention.

"Hey, ya got a light?"

Another deep sigh. “He honestly asked for you specifically to bring me? I mean... I’m not so much of an ass that I’m gonna ruin things for you with your boss, so I guess so...” Marco frowned a bit. “If I don’t like him, though, I’m just shutting up. It’s the best I can do. Deal?”

As much as he hated to admit it, his stamina was completely burnt out and he honestly had no clue how Masahiko could still even be awake. He didn't have the energy for one of their late night talks. "You should.. sleep too..." And he's already off to dreamland.

"Someone that left an impression on both of us off the top of my head would have to be Hatena. She was a real wild one~ And that's putting your energy to shame, my love...~"

"Ohhh~! Sweet Tena was always so much fun! But she did tend to get us into some interesting situations, didn't she~? Goodness, how long has it been even?"

"Four...no, five hundred years? I wonder if she ever bought that house on the coast that she was always talking about. The one with the large garden out front and the view of the cliffs."

Ningal sighs, eyes closing as she leans against him. "She was one of a kind, wasn't see...~? I just couldn't leave the kids at that time and follow her back to sea...I think I'll always regret not spending a bit more time with her..."

"Our lives just didn't align right for the times, love. She knew that. Tena wasn't ready to settle down with a couple of old fogies like us...~ She still had an entire world to explore when we had seen it several times over already."

Hatena was a pirate queen that they were together with for several years before her wanderlust got the better of her and they parted ways. They did go on several adventures with her, lived on her ship with her and her crew but one of their kids needed them pretty badly toward the end of the relationship. They all parted amicably and even kept in contact with her for a bit through letters when they could. Eventually they lost contact with her after about ten years. Its hard to keep an address when one is a wanted criminal in several parts of the world! Hatena lived a good life and did leave her treasure to her crew, though she never had children or a spouse of her own. She passed away at about 57 from cancer, though it wasn't diagnosable at the time.
