What couples will become 100% canon in your fic and which ones will stay implied? And are you planning a sequel?

OK SO theres the pairings already together obvs (danby/ozzy, keen/khasar) and wait are those the only two pairings?? OOPS SORRY FOR ALL THE RELATIONSHIP TAGS WHEN THERE'S TWO COUPLES. AJRHWKRKRB

I GOT SIDETRACKED SORRY so avery/bart/ryley will 100% be together before the final chapter (in fact, they have a Little Scene very soon 👀) and i SWEAR they were gonna get together in survivors but uh. that's a small theme amongst most of the ships tbh. i ended up pushing the relationships to the side in favor of the plot, and i also hate quick forced romances (every movie that has Girl and Guy kiss for no reason at all im looking at you) so avery/bart/ryley in particular kept getting pushed back in favor of the three spending time together first. BUT like a full year at least has passed now so im finally gonna focus in on them. the final 3/4 chapters of awa are veryyy character focused 👀

and as for implied, yu/berkeley are probably gonna maintain that 😔 i once again was totally going to put them together in survivors, held it off, and then i was gonna get em together in awa, and i kinda sidelined them on accident a bit more than i realized i would on first starting to write it. the final chapter of awa is gonna be an epilogue, and i might have them together there, but i also might just continue to say theyre both still oblivious to the other,,,,haven't decided what to do w/ them yet fully tbh 😳

marg/sam will also b very very slightly implied, mostly bc once again the rushed aspect of it. i was planning on having them get together but, the two don't rlly like each other prior to the start of the fic, they don't interact almost at all until halfway through, and they don't have any positive interaction until the end. so they only rlly become friends by the end of the fic. but in the au they do eventually get together! ill just probably never write it

which is,, yeah not making a sequel. i might make a series of oneshots based on the aurora (which means no avery/vesper crew/degasi characters, and probably no ships or very limited implications) but i have no plans at all for another sequel. im not exactly burnt out on the au, bc i really love this au!! and i love these characters a whole lot!! but it is a happy ending/everyone lives au, so a lot of ideas ive had for awa and survivors didn't get used or were changed a lot to minimize character deaths or large consequences just bc i really wanted them all to live. so any more subnautica i write won't be as "every main character is safe" as survivors has been,,, fair warning >:3c
