where they get married: sleepy hollow.

when they get married ( ie what time of day, what month and season etc. ) fall probably. seems like a good time. afternoon wedding seems good.

what traditions they include ( do they get married under a chuppah and crush a glass, garter toss, ‘something borrowed, something blue,’ etc. )  normal wedding traditions are followed but they are allowed to see each other bc i’m pretty sure may is pregnant when they get married so like good luck keeping worry wart silas away.

what their wedding cake looks like: boom.

….who smashes cake into whose face: they do at the same time.

who proposed to who first: he proposed to her. everyone was in on it.

who walks down the aisle and who waits at the altar ( or neither ): she’s walking down the isle. he’s waiting at the alter.

what their wedding dresses / suits / other look like: her dress / his suit (he’s the center guy obvi)

what their wedding colour scheme is and what sort of decor they have: probably purple, it’s her favorite color and he likes it. this what i picture the venue like but purple.

what flowers are in the bouquet ( if applicable. bonus: what do the flowers mean? ): i picture it like this so a mix of everything.

what their vows are ( eg poetry, traditional, improvised etc. ): improvised and traditional.

if anyone’s late to the wedding: no because adaline would’ve decapitated them.

who’s in the bridal parties / groomsmen / other: bridesmaids: cass, luna, adaline and artemis & marie // groomsmen: victor, apollo, shaun, hans & michael

what their bridal party / groomsmen / other are wearing: ladies / gentleman

who gives speeches at the reception ( bonus: what do they say? recount a sweet memory or two between them? tell an embarrassing story? ) her siblings and adaline give speeches and they’re both roasting and sweet.

who catches the bouquet( s ) cass because it’s a fun image.

what their wedding photos are like ( are they sweet, with the couple holding hands or kissing or ~gazing into each others eyes~? are they silly, with a snapshot of the ‘cake-smash’ moment? or are they artistic, with one of them facing the sunset or holding their bouquets? ) a mix of all of these. the highlight.

what sort of food they have at the reception: it’s a buffet so people can get whatever they want.

who cries first during the ceremony: adaline because her parents are precious.

how wild their reception gets ( who dances the best, who gets drunk first, etc. ) probably pretty wild when you combine the families. i mean they don’t get drunk because he’s sober and again i think she’s pregnant when they get married??

what their rings are like: her ring / his ring

what sort of favours they have ( heart shaped sparklers, mini champagne bottles, personalised candy etc. ) here we go.

where they go for their honeymoon: they go to the south somewhere to chill because their families are insane and they need a breather and she needs to relax.

something memorable that happens during the party / ceremony ( do they run out of ice and someone goes to get it in full formal wear on foot, does anyone fall asleep in the middle of the party, etc. ) each brother danced with her for the father/daughter dance also adaline was there with silas dancing then the tiny family danced together.

who officiates the ceremony: their uncle probably.

what song their first dance is to: i stand by this.

who gives who away as they walk down the aisle: she walks down the aisle alone for a grand entrance okay. also because her brothers were occupied as groomsmen.

Ingrith hasn’t been this nervous in a long, long time. In fact, the last time might’ve been before the birth of the very son she’s about to see again for the first time in years. He was a child the last time she saw him, and now he’s all grown up. She wonders what he’ll look like. Whether he’ll look more like her, or John. Everyone used to say he looked like her, when he was a child, but that was a long time ago. 

Her fingers curl tight against her sides, and she watches the approaching riders with her lower lip caught between her teeth, her heart pounding in her throat. She’s going to see her son again. She’s going to hold him again.
