911, S3 E1 (I'm watching this show just like. Way to quickly 😬)

So, while we are living through a pandemic and waiting for the Blacklist to return, people again express their dislike (a soft word, the softest I found usable) for Elisabeth Keen, the sole reason for it is, she is annoying.

No, OK, annoying, I understand...Or do I? In fact no, I do not. I believe it is enough to remember the point in her life at the end of Season 7 and her own description of her life as a FEMA disaster of a life, and could anyone really deny it?

Rewatching The Major and Tom Keen, season 2, episodes 15 and 16, where Liz relieves what she had gone through during 18 months on the Task Force, just that gives the audience a certain perspective.

18 months, and a 28 year old Quantiquo graduate, called Sir by her collegues, is flown by hali through restricted space only to find out that the notorious Raymond Reddington would speak only with her, that an innocent girl's life hangs in balance, and her life depends solely on Elisabeth, for Reddington, who has intel, would only share it with her.

Then, on the same day, her husband is attacked and on a ventilator in a coma, Reddington said that Tom is not good, and Liz along with a little girl is almost blown up by a chemical weapon.

Then, in a week, Reddington takes Liz to Montreal, hinting at a very personal connection. Then Liz finds out that the woman who was her idol, was in reality a fraud.

Then she is almost killed by a chinease spy killer, and still Red just gives her criptic hints, nothing more.

Again, she is kidnapped and nearly murdered by the horrifying Stewmaker, resquied just in time by Red.

Her doubt as to her husband's identity and motives grows, finally resulting in his interrogation by the Task Force. A woman, who Red claimed to be Tom's lover, takes all the blame. Liz wants nothing to do with Red, who seems to set Tom up, but eventually it is not so at all.

Liz and Tom plan to adopt a child, but eventually Liz gets cold feet, after Red was abducted right from the Post Office and tortured, and she begins to doubt how good a Mother she could be.

Eventually her partner looses his beloved, and Liz finds out that her husband is a fraud and a murderer. Just weeks prior to that her adoptive Father dies, seemingly of cancer, but with the assistance of Reddington.

The comes Berlin, which results in Meera Maalek's death and an attempt on Cooper, Tom makes Liz doubt Red's motives yet again, also Red does not deny he took Sam's life, to end his suffering and to prevent Liz from learning a secret, the identity of her biological Father.

Liz again is nearly killed, but wounds Tom, whome she eventually keeps her prisoner for four months - which leads to murder commited by Tom to protect Liz...because they love each other. Crazy, but true.

Liz finds out about the existence of the Fulcrum, a blackmail file on the Cabal. She thinks that is what Reddington wants, and the thought tortures her, for she loves Red and wants to be the one he loves. She wants to be his child, and is jelous, hurt, afraid. Many a time she already risked her life for Red as Red had done for her.

And all that in mere 18 months!!! Liz herself says that she could not have predicted any of that, and maybe she sucks because she couldn't.

So, again, that is only the second half of the second season, and right now we had SEVEN!

Right now Liz is two years' widow and single Mom, with Red in her life and the Task Force, Red going from who knows who to her, to her Father, to Mother's friend, to...hell knows who. There was Constantin Rostov, who tried to kill her husband, ruined her wedding, kidnapped her daughter and blackmailed her, all the while claiming he is her Father. Then Kaplan's revenge and the bones of the real Reddington, Tom's death, Liz' own revenge journey, again the bones, some truth that Red is not the real Reddington, Jennifer, Liz getting Red in jail, nearly killed, then Liz getting cold feet, realizing how much Red means to her, Agnes being home again. Then Maddie Toliver aka Fakerina.

You'd be annoying if all that has happened to you. 🤫

Am I team Liz after all I have listed? I am team Red+Liz. For they are Mother and Child, inseparable. What conserns one, conserns another.

So, before calling anyone "annoying", try stepping in their shoes and taking a few steps of their way as them. The you may just reconsider calling them annoying again.
