I haven't seen anyone talk about it, so can we PLEASE talk about how Sofi and Evan kissed while wearing Adam and Charlie's jerseys? What is the show implying here? Cuz I mean, they're intentionally drawing parallels between the two generations with the jerseys. There's just so much to unpack-

So that first episode of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers...
[spoilers]
[no seriously SPOILERS, scroll quickly least ye be spoiled]
Part of me thinks it's nostalgia and my love for the movie trilogy coupled with being a fan of both Lauren Graham AND Emilio Esteves [sidebar: he is DEFINITELY Martin Sheen's son. like even some of the mannerisms is evident. if they ever do a West Wing reboot, get that man in the Oval Office!]...
But I really really enjoyed this episode and can't wait for the remaining episodes!
I also want to both hug Gordon, ask him who hurt him so badly that he's back to being the grumpy "don't like kids, don't like hockey" self, and also slap him upside the head because WHAT WOULD CHARLIE AND THE OG DUCKS THINK OF HIM NOW?
Or worst -- dear gods what would they think of the team the Ducks have become?
[which yeah I'm aware that apparently this will be touched on in an episode this season]
I like Alex and her kid, Evan. Both have a scrappy hopeful spirit to them and I like how yes Evan could be like a Charlie 2.0, but I totally see Charlie's qualities in both Alex and Evan-- Wait I just realized.
Oh shit. There was a scene in the episode where Alex was talking about Evan's dad for a bit and they pulled a sight gag of having a character play with a loud machine to drown out dialogue... And they did that during Alex's explaination of Evan's father and I thought that was weird and oh wow, now a part of me wonders if Charlie IS CONNECTED to Alex and Evan.
... huh.
Anyway, watch the show prove me wrong in the next couple episodes. I mean this ain't The Mandalorian or Wandavision so theorizing won't do me any good.
Last couple thoughts tho --
I love the small team that we got so far. I practically want to adopt them all.
Oh also they're calling themselves The Don't Bothers but it's temporary because they're going after the Ducks AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THAT!
AAANND you cannot tell me that Bombay wasn't flirting in that last scene with Alex and the skating rink and the Whitney Houston.
I SEE YOU, GORDON. I'VE WATCHED THE FIRST TWO MIGHTY DUCKS MOVIES ENOUGH TIMES TO KNOW WHEN YOU'RE FLIRTING.

wish they hadnt done Sofis change so fast and that she had explored more who she is outside of hockey but we saw Gertie play and the locker room scene was everything
