I cannot resist adding a little bit of carrot when I'm making a broth despite knowing it will make the broth too carrotty 😔

#a sock speaks #food tag #I'm participating in a meal train for a couple in the church who have a new baby #and I think I'm getting too overconcerned with what people will think of my cooking ability #I made blueberry jam Friday and Saturday night started bread dough bc it's supposed to be refrigerated for about 48 hours #and I prepped broth and meat today #tomorrow I just have to heat the broth make egg noodles cook veggies and bake the bread #it could be perfectly fine but I keep thinking of ways it could go wrong #I wanted to help but I worry that I'm taking this slot from an experienced cook who'd make something nicer #I got to hold the baby yesterday and I was so scared but nothing bad happened and it was such a wonderful experience
