So many men can’t even handle it when you point out that something is about women and for women like in my film and literature class we watched this Spanish movie called Volver and we were discussing it and I pointed out how there were only like 3 male characters and all they did was present problems and create conflict that the female characters had to solve and get over and I was like “this movie is abt female empowerment and unity” and that class is 90% white guys and I swear you could have heard a pin drop and then the professor was like “yeah you could say this is a feminist film” and then the dudes started all stammering and going like UHHHHHHH and trying to disagree and like

That wasn’t a radical statement... we literally all watched the same movie and it IS ABOUT female unity............... there are only three named male characters and two of them are rapists and abusers................................. They didn’t have a problem with any of it until I pointed out that the entire movie centered around the female characters solving problems created/perpetuated by the male characters................................................... idk yo
