"Sofia...why are you saying this?" Holly was genuinely concerned as she looked at her sister. She was never like this unless something had happened. The last time she was acting like this Sofia was telling her that daddy was moving her to Miami. Now that she was back and acting like this all over again, she couldn't help the red flags that went up in her head.

“I used to love the Christmas season...” Holly sniffled as she looked out at the snowy Gotham day. “I know what happened, but at the same time I don’t have a clue what happened to me.” she said softly. Ever since her father’s untimely passing, she had so much put upon her personally and mentally. She had been through the absolute mess of rock bottom and built the empire back up. But along the way she completely forgot to build herself back up along with it.

She felt like a shell of who she used to be. She remembered when her father would start talking like this, not about the subjects she was bringing up but just randomly like this. She wondered if anyone saw any of him in her, personally or professionally.

Holly looked out of the window of the small little safe house she knew Jim and Harvey would be leading Victor to. She had seen and heard everything that went on. She had even contemplated going out there to stop Jim if he actually tried to shoot Victor, not that he would get much of a choice to so much as aim the gun before Victor would take over. She had the highest confidence in him.

She shut the curtains before going to lounge on the couch when she saw both parties dispersing. She sighed as she looked over to the door when it opened and she smiled as she looked at Victor.

“You know, I think that whole thing went down...almost smoothly. I mean you didn’t die. And I got to play lawyer. By the way, I did a good job. Pengy was just grasping at straws because he didn’t know how to say to all of those people that he didn’t actually know who blew up that place.”

Everyone and everything is already safely stored away in Metropolis, but...I can’t have the store getting ransacked like that. I...” she sniffled.

Holly checked her outfit out again in the mirror for probably the tenth time while she was waiting for Victor to arrive at her home. They had made Valentine’s plans, a date to officially start their new relationship.

She sighed as she looked at herself. It was her favorite dress, but she was just over thinking. She knew she looked good, she just wanted to make sure that everything was where it was supposed to be.

She nodded as she slowly took a shaky deep breath in and let it out even more shakily. She looked at him as she swallowed a few lumps in her throat over and over, not trusting herself to speak yet. Of everyone she knew, the one that took the best care of her besides her father, Victor was always her second most reliable.

She couldn’t help but agree as she nodded again. “Right...’ she whispered, smiling as she looked at him when he had kissed her forehead. “She shouldn’t get to grieve. She caused this, Victor, the only thing she should be feeling is remorse.” that familiar glare came back into her eyes. “Well, that shouldn’t be hard. I always was better than her at everything, that’s why I got to stay in Gotham with daddy’s trust while he sent her away.” she smirked.

“Walk in with me?” she asked as she looked at him. She was putting on a mask right now, she knew that Victor would be the only one that would be able to tell, but she was doing what she was supposed to. She was going to strut in there like only she could, but if she was going to do that she would need Victor next to her.
