I don't think I'll be able to recover from Ryuu seeing himself in Kurobucchi. Ryuu found it while taking a walk alone at night, feeling excluded and "weird" for not having the same struggles as the others, and there was the kitty. It was wandering alone I suppose, just like Ryuu. A lost kitty without a family to return to, just like Ryuu. TCW was his safe place, but even there he felt out of place, so finding Kurobucchi felt comforting, it was like having a little companion. When Kurobucchi got sick, Ryuu was desperate to save it, he didn't want to be lonely again and even said "I'll save it myself, you guys (tcw) always exclude me!!". He sees himself in the kitty and while running to try and help he actually remembered some of his worst times at AT. Ryuu wanting to save the kitty is an allegory to him wanting to save himself. When Shiki told him he'd never leave, he felt relieved, but I know he still feels lost and confused, he enjoys being with TCW, but do they enjoy being with him? Just like little Kurobucchi, he's lost and trying to find a place to stay and be accepted, just trying to survive. And that's just so. So. So depressing. I love Ryuu augh

"Chuuya is the most tragic Bsd character" "No it's Dazai!" Shut the fuck up it's Sigma.
Sigma was born from nothing and was used by anyone since the very beginning, barely considered "human". For starters, he doesn't even belong in the Bsd universe, Fyodor forced him in with the page, meaning he can't call Yokohama "home", he doesn't know what that means. For most people he met, Sigma was just an information gathering machine. Never in his life was he allowed a free will or offered kindness, which made him desperately grasp onto his Casino, but even that was taken away from him. The first and only people to show compassion were Atsushi and Dazai. The latter inspires him to do the right thing for once, and try to defeat Fyodor. He tries his best and even gets Fyodor's secrets, but he's abruptly found dead. Not a goodbye, not a warning, he's just dead. Now imagine your existence is so insignificant to the world that your death doesn't affect anything nor anyone. No one cares about it. The world keeps going without anyone stopping to think about you, you didn't matter enough. And the one who pushed you to what ultimately killed you (Dazai) doesn't even flinch to it. Sigma was so insignificant not even the show itself paid attention to him. Now that's what I call tragic.

Yknow what's amazing?? The way Kanata is portrayed as being very blunt and "mean" but a very emotional and human at the same time. You see, most mean-coded characters are made to appear emotionless and without empathy. But Kanata... He's different. He's really emotional in every way; He cries pretty often when facing conflict with someone close (nayuta lmao), if he's happy he's very smiley and laughs a lot, but is also irritated easily and isn't afraid of showing it. Keyword being "not afraid of showing (emotions)". It may appear small and silly but it means so much to me. It's like they're telling you emotions don't make you weak, but make you stronger. It's amazing how they make Kanata a very relatable character by making him not feel like a character, but a person. Kanata's humanity can be seen a lot through the fake Nayu, an illusion he himself created. As Phantommetals are linked to the soul, some of Kana's real feelings and thoughts stored in his subconscious materialized in fake Nayu, making him say some stuff Kanata definitely didn't want to hear (like the illusion saying he should move on from actual Nayu). When the illusion confronts Kanata he gets very mad and sad and a mix of everything, basically an emotional mess. This is also a pretty good showcase of how humans deny their real feelings and inner struggles in order to "be happier", but that's just another way of making us miserable when too many problems pile up and come to get us. It's just, taken way too literally with Kanata's subconscious (fake Nayu) literally having arguments with him and trying to convince him to better his life, with Kanata denying it to death cause he's stubborn and doesn't want to let go of his past. A past when he was happier. After some self work and the help of (actual) Nayu, he's slowly getting back on track from those depressive episodes with the illusion. He doesn't have eyebags anymore and seems way happier, thus showcasing a satisfactory growth in him. With some help he's been able to better his life step by step, even if there's still a long way to go, you have to start somewhere. This whole sequence just tells you the writing for Kanata is amazing. For me, he's the most genuine character I've ever found in fiction so far. A guy full of emotions, attitude, regret, stubbornness, trauma and inner struggles trying to be better and learn more day by day, just like us people. It frustrates me how some people overlook this amazing character by reducing him to "a tsundere". Sure, Kanata isn't someone who trusts others easily after a traumatic childhood, and isn't buddy-buddy with most people (allen sugasano) which makes him fit the tsun trope, but some of you are getting too comfortable completely dismissing his incredible writing and genuineness by just calling him the tsundere one. I agree he fits the trope and don't care if you call him whatever, just don't forget he's so, so much more than that. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

Oh what the fuck this gotta be the BIGGEST foreshadowing ever in pararai TA. Kanata here is supposed to be talking to Nayu in front of him, but guess what! The only thing reflecting in his eyes is an empty room. Yay<3

Guys I know I always talk about Kanata but I love Nayu sm too okay. BUT since he spent all stage battle as an illusion, we were basically dealing with Kanata's interpretation of him, so he didn't catch my eye back then. He didn't have much of a presence in the songs / VD either, he was there sure, but was never the protagonist cause yknow. Illusion. But now that we actually get to see Nayu being HIM and getting to know his goals, personality and struggles it feels amazing!!! Someone over twt said he felt more badass in recent songs, and I didn't notice but they're so right. Its like he's screaming "I'M BACK NOW🗣️" and that's so damn cool. I know I'm always Kanata pilled but I'll try to talk more abt Nayu now that we get to see him as an actual separate entity. Omg I love it when Cozmez get individuality you don't get it

☆ Here's why we should talk more about 'Back off' and it's impact on Kanata's character ☆
Tumblr media
- Okay, as a certified Back Off lover you guys SHOULD appreciate it more. Not only cause the song itself is good, but also for the LYRICS. They're so important for Kanata as a character (We're making this about the blorbo again❤️). As you all know by now, Cozmez songs have very similar lyrics, mostly talking about their struggles on the streets, and Back off isn't an exception. BUT! The lyrics here are actually amazing to analyze and better understand where Kanata was coming from in the Live VD. Let me enlighten you.
☆ We're focusing on Nayuta's parts in the pre choruses for this!! Keep in mind this is from Exhibition Show, so this Nayuta is still an illusion created by Kanata.
— First prechorus*.✧
"All the enemies we kicked down from our road, our wounds from the past may never be erased. But we won't make it fade, this daydream. We won't look back, come on now we gotta go"
- I think this is pretty self explanatory. But let's highlight the most important part.
"But we won't make it fade, this daydream".
- Alright! Since this is Kanata's self made lyrics, we can assume some stuff. If I recall correctly, Exhibition show was just before Live. And we know that across the story Kanata got a few hints that slowly unlocked the trauma of Nayu's death. While this memory was buried deep in Kanata's subconscious as self defence to deal with the Trauma, he was constantly acting and saying things clearly influenced by the fact. POINT IS, Kanata probably wrote these lyrics subconsciously, knowing deep inside this Nayuta was an illusion and he was living "A Daydream" he didn't want to fade. If he WAS self aware, the Nayu Illusion would've disappeared right away, so this def was an accident. So this is, once again, a little peek into Kanata's subconscious mind. And the way this line was given to Nayuta is probs coincidence on Kanata's line distributions, something very accurate he did without thinking it was important. One can do so many things without thinking about it, but all our actions are defined by our Souls to put it simply. And that's the case with Kanata 99% of the time...
— Second prechorus*.✧
"The yesterday reflected on us too, it's all history. If you win, your dreams come true, it's all I need. Woo, Let's go, Tell me what you waiting for? (x2)
- THE MOST IMPORTANT LYRICS HERE. I'm not even highlighting a single part cause every part of this is important. I am dividing it tho
"The yesterday reflected on us too, it's all history."
- Now, I'm not sure if this one take can apply to these lyrics, but I'm saying it either way. With "the yesterday" I don't think we're talking solely about their life on the streets, but also about Nayu's death. This is more assumption than anything, but I think this refers to Nayu's death reflecting on Kanata as a person and being what made him create the illusion in the first place, and after its creation, Nayu's death became "history" since we have a direct replacement to pretend it never happened. Keeping in mind this is written by Kanata, we can blame his subconscious actions for this one (again). There's also something about most of these more meaningful lines being sung by Nayuta instead of Kanata that give me a feeling Kanata felt icky singing these, since they have bits of truth even if he couldn't notice at the moment, so he gave them to Nayuta instead. Now the next line will make this statement make more sense, trust me. ✊
"If you win, your dreams come true, it's all I need."
- This bit is satisfying in a sad way cause it directly ties to what Kanata says later in Live. Kanata talks about how he kept using Nayuta as an excuse to fulfill his own dreams, convincing himself he was doing everything for Nayuta. I've been saying the line distributions were probs made at random by Kanata, but I don't think this one was. Kanata WANTED fake Nayuta to sing this one to be reassured that he wasn't being selfish for trying to do something for himself without considering Nayu. This might make him sound like an insane guy, but please don't interpret it like that. Kanata IS traumatized, and back when this was made it was even worse (rn he's healing). He was just desperately trying to justify his actions and give himself a little comfort to feel better, I wouldn't want anyone to come out of this thinking badly about Kanata.
☆ Now I can't close the post without saying the writers are absolute GENIUSES for coming up with this. The way every single lyric can tie up to everything that happened after is insane. This is what I meant when saying "this helps you understand where Kanata was coming from in Live". Pararai literally had all the hints RIGHT THERE and most didn't even notice... This one song alone really helps you understand Kanata's coping mechanisms with hidden messages of his mind DESPERATELY trying to get him back on track, with Kanata just being extremely stubborn and ignoring every single signal until the illusion disappeared. And this is why Kanata is one of the best representations of what happens if you stay in stage 1 of the 5 stages of grief (Denial).
Tumblr media
- Okay that's pretty much it!! This stupid ahh post deleted itself like 3 times cause tumblr is a bitch but anyways. Sorry for starving you and making you stand an unholy amount of spam LMAO I kinda ran out of content!! Currently accepting requests on charas to analyse cause I'm an expert with Cozmez but it'd be fun to figure out everyone else. Rn my most important projects are music analysis but those take a whiiile (shoutout a la persona que pidió el de Jumping into my world, sigo en eso😿🫶). But yeah that's pretty much it for now!! Thanks a lot for reading!!╰(*´︶`*)╯

I cannot look at these Raimentei scenes. I can't. They made me realize Kanata religiously brings Raimentei to Nayu cuz it's his fave but. This Nayuta can't even eat. So what in the world is Kanata doing with the untouched food??? His level of delusion and need of a family made him ignore that and treat it as normal as long as Nayu stays with him☹️☹️. The death stare Kanata gives Nayu while handing him the food makes this even worse. Kanata worked his ass off to pay for something that's not even going to be eaten by Nayuta just to make him happy and cheer himself up UGHHHHHH

[✧] Overanalysing Trust Nobody's lyrics
Tumblr media
- Hai you read the title, this is a very straightforward post cuz I can't get this out of my mind + this could heavily relate to the Revolution VD so. Hear me out ok. Everything is under the cut if you're interested.
If you pay attention to the lyrics of the second verse, its as if they're having a conversation and/or trying to convince each other to change their point of view. Kanata seems quite negative and "depressed" while Nayu sounds more comforting?? Watch this (I'm breaking it down cuz ofc I will)
[✧] Kanata
"From the beginning, never trusted strangers, don't care about others' betrayal"
- Basic Kanata activities. I think Trust Nobody takes both of their persoectives on Trust. Kanata associates it with the trust issues he has towards society, while Nayuta associates it to something (or rather SOMEONE) else.
"Same agonies, same regrets. We shared it all, us brothers"
- Basic Kanata activities². In this song he makes STRONG EMPHASIS in them always being together. Whether its hardships or happy moments, they were ALWAYS together. Keep that in mind
"Even the days of reoccurring drama, we persisted in this way of life, we just believed so we sang"
- Self explanatory I think
"Even if we weren't trusted overall, if the words are lukewarm, it's just fake love"
- It's hard for me to interpret this lyric to be honest, maybe my english isn't englishing. But I guess it refers to the bond they created using rap, a bond that isn't affected by what others think of them, and if other people's verses are lukewarm, that's just because they lack trust or love. I think.
[✧] Nayuta
"Even if the scene's the same, it's a different world."
- This is like a direct reply to Kanata's negative view of trust. Even if they still live on a bad environment, they have each other, money to subsist and the ability to evolve and be better. If only Kanata moved on from the slums. It's like he's scared of the outside world so he decided to stay there, but Nayu wants to move forward
"It can't be helped that all can't be mutually understood, pushing values and correctness onto each other, there's no way that can be called trust"
- Straightforward as hell + I used it for my first theory post. Basically, Nayu doesn't like the way Kanata restricts him even if it's on accident. And while Kanata connects Trust to his trust issues, Nayu connects it to the lack of trust within Cozmez.
"As long as we live, there'll be a difference in our strides, but it's rectified through perseverant exchange of words"
- Nayu just wants to have a chat with Kanata about their issues girl... Kanata please.....
"Unfulfilled dreams? Silly destiny? The results will prove them so just wait and see"
- This is SUCH AN INTERESTING THING cause when it says "Unfulfilled dreams" Nayuta is shown in the mv, and for "Silly destiny" Kanata is shown. I think this is about Nayuta's unfulfilled dreams and Kanata uncertain destiny without Nayuta (he doesn't know what to do without him / outside his comfort zone).
They're definitely kinda venting to each other???😭 In Kanata's perspective, "Trust" relates to how no one trusted them and they didn't trust anyone. Meanwhile for Nayuta, it's more about the lack of trust within each other. It's really interesting, cause Kanata still stubbornly believes this way of life is the best for both and doesn't acknowledge Nayu's desire for change, most likely out of fear. I haven't shut up about this lately but deal w it. Take this as you will. I just felt like sharing it cuz I'm obsessed w this song AND topic as of late

✧ Thoughts on the REVOLUTION teaser !! (Czmz edition)
Tumblr media
- Hai!! After this new trailer I got a lot of THOUGHTS about the Czmz sillies, so I thought it would be good to make a more organized post with my new analysis after the trailer!! This is gonna be a very long post too cuz I won't shut up about them, so let's get into it!!
✧ Summary
- This trailer starts with Nayuta suffering from a fever a day before a Cozmez performance. Kanata says he's gonna cancel their stage so Nayu can recover. Nayu is pretty annoyed and says he can go and it's not a big deal, but Kanata insists in not going. This leads to an argument. Nayuta gets worked up and asks "If I get sick for the finals, will you quit too?" to which Kanata stays silent. Nayuta is angry about this and keeps asking while Kanata struggles to reply, until their part is over.
✧ Analysis 1.0 : Kanata's overprotective tendencies
-Alright, in this VD there's A LOT going on, the most important being Kanata's PTSD affecting Cozmez as a duo. Kanata is scared of Nayuta getting too ill, he doesn't want to be alone once again, especially after the AT incident. But at this point, Nayu just feels like Kanata doesn't trust him enough and is just "underestimating him". Kanata hasn't been with actual Nayuta in a long while and got used to "fake Nayu" not minding the constant protection, however, real Nayu started disliking it after a while. I get where Nayu is coming from, and I also know Kanata is genuinely trying to help, but if this keeps going, Cozmez' teamwork could genuinely be affected. Cozmez' identity has always been "they can't live without each other", but the truth is, they NEED to learn to live without each other in order to grow, this is what Kanata doesn't want to accept. Even if Kanata already has the person he cares about the most, and he's 100% sure he won't leave this time, he still can't help but let his anxiety take over. I'll never shut up about how beautifully he's written and how human he feels, he's trying to recover from the trauma but still stumbles in his way and accidentally makes mistakes with Nayuta, and I can only hope he gets a little redemption in this VD.
✧ Analysis 2.0 : The real Nayuta
- Nayuta really surprised me here, to be honest! For 50% of this franchise, we were basically dealing with Kanata's interpretation of Nayuta, aka the illusion. But now that we have the real one, I can see how independent and strong he's on his own in contrast to the quiet version we saw in Stage Battle. I've talked about Trust Nobody's lyrics before and how Nayuta's verse is about czmz having strong differences, and if they keep pushing their values onto each other, that can't be called Trust. And that's such a big foreshadowing I cannot get over it, it really applies here. In this case, just because they're pushing their wishes onto the other and refusing to do what they want separately, I feel both Kanata and Nayuta are right and wrong at the same time. Nayu not liking being "babied" is fine, him pushing himself too much knowing he just came out of a coma + has an illness isn't. Kanata being worried of Nayu's health is fine, being too protective isn't. As I said in Kanata's section, he seriously needs to let go of Nayuta to really grow as an artist and a person, and Nayuta knows that. He knows they need to follow their own paths in order to grow, and I also understand the annoyance. However, Nayuta is also being a bit harsh with Kanata, I don't think he completely understands the magnitude of Kanata's trauma after he left. This is not me painting Nayu as a villain, I know where he's coming from and if he actually makes Kanata understand they need to be their own separate person I'd love him even more. Plus we can actually see how he really wants to change his way of living, to grow more after being away from everything for 2 years. Issue being: His own chronic illness AND Kanata are stopping him. I can only hope they both can grow as people after this and Nayuta can win even more independence cause I'm reaaaally interested in seeing more of his behaviour when Kanata-less. So basically, I think this VD will be CRUCIAL for Czmz' development, and if they actually get to do some things on their own after this, it'd be pretty cool!! Go go Nayuta
✧ Conclusion
- Now THIS was a long post. But I hope you liked it!! Talking about these two is always so fun, I absolutely adore them. I'm way more used to analysing Kanata and I know his part was accurate but I'm questioning my take for Nayu, so feel free to correct or disagree here cause I improvised ok😭😭 anyways, thanks for reading and see you on the next one!!
