Lorelei Violet Rosenkrantz is the quintessential perfect daughter, or, at least, she is trying to be. From the very beginning, when she could walk and talk and eventually began to read people’s emotions, she became a people pleaser. After her mother left for good, stopped visiting all together, Lorelei really kicked it into overdrive. She watched her father, her caring, loving father, raise two kids by himself and she knew she had to do everything to make him proud (and perhaps, make the mother who left her, love her, too.)
It started with gifted classes and turned into an all girls private school, turned into too many extra curricular activites to pad a resume she probably shouldn’t have been as concerned as she was about. The school paper, student goverment, and drama club to name a few, the latter becoming a refuge she didn’t know she needed. Theater in general became something that would take her out of her head, took her out of the place where she needed to be perfect and put her in a place where she could just be.
But that’s all it was, an outlet. Even after finding out she was quite suited to acting, and according to her teacher, she had a powerhouse voice, a job as an actress wasn’t realistic, not when it came to her plan. She needed stability. Choosing to major in History, and then, Library Science was smart, it was stable and it would give her a good, steady life. It might not have been her passion. But it made her content.
Moving to New York was probably the biggest risk Lorelei has ever taken to date, but nothing felt as good as the campus of Columbia to her. The city was her campus, and being so close to live Broadway shows was an extra perk. If she couldn’t do it she could consume it, and that was enough, that had to be enough.
In New York, and in college, Lorelei blossomed, she allowed herself to break out of a very rough shell, and make friends, her roommate becoming the closest person to her until MUSE B came along. They dated on and off throughout college, but eventually, MUSE B couldn’t deal with Lorelei’s very set five year plan, needing something looser, a little more adventure, a little more risks. Risks Lorelei just wasn’t willing to take with her life.
A bachelor’s degree in History and a master’s in Library science later, and partly because of a break up, and mostly because she missed home, Lorelei moved back to the West Coast, finding a little apartment in the castro district that got good light, adopting a kitten and naming it Papaya, and finding a quiet, steady job in the san francisco public library, she setteled into her life. Her steady, easy, if not a little bit basic, life.
She made up for the quietness of her new life with Friday night sushi and karaoke, belting out showtunes and celine dion numbers after too many craft cocktails, singing became an outlet once again, in whatever way she could get it.

Family:
Theodora 'Dottie' Moss (mother) - Dottie was the youngest and only surving child of nine to make it into adulthood. A witch who fell in love with a married wizard whom had a child together. Colin loves his mother dearly and fiercely as raised him as a single mum. She did tell Colin the identity of his father but made him swear to never tell anyone.
Robert Moss (grandfather) - The co-founder of the Naughty Cliffs and helped raise Colin. He took Colin a lot to the pub where Colin encountered a variety of magical beings from house elves, vampires to werewolves and goblins too.
Scott Rosewood (father) - They acknowledge each other's existence however they have nothing to do with each other.
Winona Rosewood (half-sister) - Winona sought Colin to tell him that they were related which Colin knew all this time. He was happy that he had a sister to rely on and they became fast friends.
Glenn Rosewood (half-brother) - Colin was scared of Glenn as he was known to be a tough prefect. They hardly interacted with each other until the trial of Euphemia in 1948.

Albert Burke @madelineorionswan - Bertie is Colin's best friend and sworn brother. They both understand what it's like to be painfully shy and have a complicated family history.
Lysander Mercury @slytherindisaster - Colin is a little put off by his antics and cannot escape as they're both in the same dorm. But he can be assured that his secret is safe with Lysander, but only because of Winona.
Jim Hexley @the-al-chemist - Dorm mates and later friends but it's incredibly painful for others to watch them be the most awkward people alive but they do get over it...eventually...
He's open to making more friends but mind you, he's quite shy and might need to warm up to your oc first.
Love interests:
Euphemia Macnair - They bumped into each a lot and were in the same herbology class. Colin developed a crush on Euphemia but could never muster up the courage to ask her out until fourth year to the celestial ball. From there they dated and after Hogwarts they got married.
Pets: Ollie, an ancient owl owned by the family. Nobody knows how she's alive despite being struck by lightning twice.

SEXUAL ORIENTATION: He doesn’t care enough to think about it. There’s only ever been one person he’s cared for, anyway.

OCCUPATION: Despite being a globally recognized figure in science and medicine he’s working as a school nurse at the prestigious St. Pigeonation’s. In reality he’s a Hawk Party agent working undercover within the school.

PARENTS: Shuu Iwamine was born to rich parents and an affluent family as Utsuro Ichijou. They were neglectful; he was lonely. While not outright abusive there was a total lack of emotional connection within the family. When they died in a human terrorist attack he felt relieved to be rid of them.
SIBLINGS: He is an only child.
SIGNIFICANT OTHER(S): None.
CHILDREN: Miru and Kaku, his unofficial adoptees. They’re failed lab experiments left behind by a senior researcher within the Hawk Party he’d worked under and admired a long time ago.

STORY OF FIRST KISS: He hasn’t had one.

WHAT’S THEIR POSTURE LIKE? A bit of a slouch. He’s hunched over his work often.

5. How do you choose your characters’ names?
Typically I go to baby name generators and scroll until I find one I like. Sometimes I have a first letter in mind or I go by ethnic background of the character. When I don't have anything in mind, I use the randomizer in CAS.
I purposely made Syd and Sophie both start with S's because they started out as twins and I really liked the name Sophie. Milla was originally Elise cause I loved SSX3 on the PS2. Calvin, Vera, and Esra were named by the EA randomizer.
For last names, I go super basic on purpose. If your name is rare, I feel like it'd be weird for a character to share it. If your last name is Graham, you're probably used to it.
10. Is your story fully planned or are you still working things out? is there a definitive end?
I have the ending planned and major points in the story but how to get there is less planned out.
15. What have been the highlights of creating your story?
That anybody actually reads it XD
I really enjoy setting up the character and then I have things planned for how they grow and figure out who they are, what makes them happy, and cutting out what doesn't.
