HBO Max New Releases: September 2021

The summer movie season may be winding down, but HBO Max is keeping the movie ball rolling in September 2021. HBO Max’s list of new releases this month is heavy on the film side of things – both in library and original offerings.

Two Warner Bros. films of note arrive this month. The James Wan-directed horror tale Malignant premieres on Sept. 10 and is followed by Clint Eastwood’s Cry Macho on Sept. 17. The next installment in Adventure Time: Distant Lands (which is kind of like a film series!) is titled Wizard City and opens the month on Sept. 2

Of course, it wouldn’t be a new month of HBO Max releases without some interesting evergreen Warner movie titles. Sept. 1 finds all eight Harry Potter movies returning to WarnerMedia’s streaming service. They will be accompanied by The Goonies, The Evil Dead, Cloverfield, and more. Later on in the month, Mortal Kombat (Sept. 9), Mad Max: Fury Road (Sept. 9), and Promising Young Woman (Sept. 25) all come back to the streaming world.

On the TV side of things, HBO Max is bringing back DC’s strangest heroes for season 3 of Doom Patrol on Sept. 23. And for those who need their true crime fix, The Way Down should fit the bill. This docuseries about a weight loss cult is timely for reasons you’ll definitely want to Google.

Rosarito e um dos meus refugios mais proximos de San Diego, sempre que bate aquela pressao e pra la que eu corro, se nao me engano essa foi a quarta vez que fui, e por incrivel que pareca conheci coisas ineditas e irei compartilhar.

Comecando pela travessia EUA x MEXICO:

bom, a ida nao tem misterio, a mais proxima e a San Ysidro Border, ja a vooooolta.. segue abaixo

 O Hotel:

Minha escolha de sempre e o Las Rocas Resort e Spa, possui uma piscina de borda infinita, jacuzzi e todos os quartos sao ocean view. A diaria varia entre $85 e $130/ diaria, incluindo cafe da manha e welcome margaritas( Se nao te entregarem, e so pedir) AMO!

Reserva atraves do Booking.com

Para os amantes do surf, logo abaixo do hotel fica um dos picos mais famosos de surf, o k38. E ele nas ondas e eu a e as margaritas na piscina.

A comida do bar do hotel e exelente, sempre opito pelo carpaccio de Ahi e o salmao plate, ah e de sobremesa o crepe de nutella com sorvete.

DICA: PROVE A TEQUILA DE COBRA E PERGUNTE O PROCESSO.

A Famosa Lagosta de Ensenada:

E tradicao ir a rosarito e provar das lagostas de Baja California, Voce desce ate Puerto Nuevo ou Ensenada e escolhe um restaurante, de preferencia com ocean view, nossa opcao foi o Angel do Mar em Puerto Nuevo. Mas agora vamos combinar, eles fritam a lagosta, isso mesmo deep fried, entao nao espere muito, eu particulamente me decepcionei um pouco, porem pode ser que eu tenha errado de restaurante. 

DICA: Se uns Mariachis colar na sua mesa afim de fazer uma serenta, ou apenas chegar tocando, PECA PRA PARAR IMEDIATAMENTE, a nao ser que voce queira muito curtir o que eles tenham para oferecer. No nosso caso eles chegaram, tocaram e ao fim cobrarm $7 DOLARES por CADA musica, isso dentro do restaurante.

Aquele lanchinho rapido:

TACOS YAQUI, serio, o mais tradicional de Rosarito e vale muuuuuuuuito a pena conferir, o taco custa em media $3 dolares cada e na boa, e do tamanho de um burrito haha, ja a quesadilla nao e la essas coisas.

BEACH: 

Olha, tenho pouca experiencia de praia em Baja California, mas o que posso indicar para uma boa comida e marguerita e o Bombay Beach club, musica ao vivo, tem uns balancinhos no bar e fica na areia da praia.

DE VOLTA PARA O EUA:

SE PREPARE, para ficar preso no transito por no minimo 2hr, faca todo o xixi da vida antes de deixar o hotel, beba pouco liquido antes da travessia, leve alguns snacks, e se prepare para falar muito NAO, GRACIAS! haha isso, durante a fila para a travessia, e gente limpando o vidro do seu carro, vendendo churros, refri, terco, santo, pano de prato, da ultima vez vi ate um cachorrinho sendo vendido (nao compre, voce nao pode atravessar com nenhuma fruta ou animal) e Lembre-se de se desfazer de qualquer “flagrante”. 

As minhas 3 vezes foram bem tranquilas, essa ultima rolou um tumulto por conta do erro das lanes, ele me fez um questionario e me mandou para uma segunda inspecao aonde tive que sair do carro e ir para uma gaiola, isso.. uma gaiolinha com a entrada em forma de labirinto, caso algo esteja errado, voce ja fique por ali mesmo. Assiti toda a cena digna de documentario da Netflix, cachorro em volta do meu carro, os agente dando batidinhas na lataria, uma sequencia de perguntas mas no fim deu certo. O cool nao passava nem sinal de wifi, mas foi!!

DICA:

* Caso queira optar pela border de Otay Garita, e muito mais rapida. Fica sentido aeroporto de tijuana.

* Fiquem atentos para nao entrarem na SENTRY LANE, eu entrei e tomei uma advertencia, e voce so pode entrar nela “sem querer” por 2 vezes, na terceira a multa e de 5k dolares, isso em ambas borders, tanto de San Ysidro quanto na de Otay.

* Leve passaporte e green card, just in case.

DICA GERAL:

* Como havia dito no post anterior, lembre se de levar pesos e dolar em cash, as vezes fica melhor de negociar e muitos lugares sao cash only, quase todos os lugares aceitam dolar, alem de, mesmo o cartao sendo intenacional sempre tem aquela taxinha de 3%.

* Se for comprar algo como artesanato, sempre negocie, force seu espanhol, voce ganha mais credibilidade. Cheguei na loja para comprar um anel, me pediram $40, no fim paguei $10 pois havia levado mais coisas da mesma loja. 

* O centro de Rosarito possui algumas lojinhas otimas para a compra de prata mexicana, otima qualidade, sempre compro quando vou la, minha ultima aquisicao foi um anel de prata simples, no valor de $15, algo como $300 pesos.

* A cotacao e algo como $1 dolar equivale a $20 pesos, com $3 dolares ou $60 pesos voce toma uma cerveja.
