Waking up at 5am... something the detective did not usually do, but he had accidentally taken a nap at 7pm last night... and with how tired he was, slept that entire 10 hours. Looking at the time on his phone, he emits a baffled groggle. "Guuuh.... a-are you serious. I really did fall asleep, huh... and for so long, too..." And after sleeping for so long, he definitely did not feel tired enough to return back to sleep. Sighing, he slowly rises up, stretching his arms with a yawn before getting up.

"Coffee...." He mutters to himself as he throws on his house shoes and exits his room. Since it was still incredibly early and wasn't going to be going anywhere anytime soon, he didn't bother changing out of his pajamas. So when he entered the kitchen area and spotted Ryoka there making coffee- "!"

His eyes widen, seeing that he wasn't the only one up at this hour, after all. "Ryoka-senpai....! What a surprise: did you wake up this early, too? Or even slept at all...?" He hopes it's the former, since he knows Ryoka and often has trouble sleeping well, too..

Then when she offered him a cup of coffee, asking if he'd like some- "Oh?" He blinks in surprise, before a small smile appears on his face, looking up at her with a nod as he accepts it. "Thank you... I would love some." Leaning his back against the counter, he takes a small sip of the coffee, humming in content. "But yeah, as for me: I took an accidental nap last night and, well: you see. Hahaha... I'm glad to see I'm not alone, though. If you'd like, want to chat for a while? If you're not already busy, that is..."

Many men & women had made passes at her over the years. (Often times said romantic interest flew right over her ignorant head). She could still recall the first time she’d visited the red-light district in downtown Shinjuku ― Middle-aged men had GRABBED & GROPED at her, offering her money for sex. But, this girl hadn’t been so blatant. She’d simply complimented Makoto’s attire & acquired her number in order to exchange fashion tips. Was she REALLY hitting on her? “She wasn’t particularly flirtatious. There was minimal physical contact. I think you might have read the room wrong. Why do you care so much, either way?” Smallest of smirks graced lips. She had a feeling she KNEW the answer to that question.

          “T-TOTALLY HAUNTED!?” ― There was not a chance in HELL that Ryoka had previously informed Makoto of that little “factoid.” If she had, the Student Council President wouldn’t have stepped FOOT on the premises. “Wh-Why would you leave something like that out?” Had she done so ON PURPOSE? Was Ryoka secretly some kooky practical joker, who had discovered Makoto’s crippling fear of the paranormal, & was now using it to PUNK her? No...Couldn’t be. She didn’t seem the type. (Right?) ― “C-Can you just turn the lights on already!?” Heart was hammering violently across her rib-cage. Hands balled up tight, TREMBLING against her small chest. Legs weak & wobbly. Like they were going to give out at any moment ― “AAAH!!” Chime of one of the clocks had the lanky brunette tossing herself theatrically onto the floor, wrapping pencil-thin arms around Ryoka’s legs, & CRYING into her thigh. “No, no, no!
