So obviously there’s a lot of back and forth on whether or not clone Webby really works within the realm of the show- which is totally valid by the way, I still can’t completely decide how I feel about it- but can we just think of the potential with Dad!Scrooge for a minute?
Up until now he’s always gotten to be the fun uncles, right? The one who gets to take the kids on adventures and have fun, while mostly leaving the actual parenting to Donald and Beakley and Della. Obviously he wouldn’t take that role from Beakley, that’s still hers and I can’t picture him trying to take over like that, but at the same time trying to adjust to that Dad-ish role and trying to find/establish new boundaries.
Especially when you consider how little of Webby’s life he’s actually been in so far. Sure, the past few years have meant a lot to both of them and really changed their relationship, but there’s still so much that he missed in the beginning.
They’re already family, they established that long before any genetic links were found, they were always family, I just think that now they can explore what that means in a whole new way and continue to add to what they already had.
Like, admittedly, this isn’t the end I would have chosen, but given it’s the one we have, why not have some fun with it?

On the one hand, I’m glad we finally got to see the reason behind Scrooge and Santa’s feud, but in the other...Literally the only thing I could focus on that while episode was Webby finally getting to be excited about Santa coming.
How many Christmases has this girl had to act like she also hated Santa in the hopes that it was another thing she and Scrooge could bond over (like the nutmeg tea). It just makes me so sad that she’s spent so long trying to be close to him and now that she is, she still feels like she has fake parts of herself to stay close.
