#in which i got absolutely nothing done at all #first couple hours of work was spent with our IT people to figure out why something wasn't working on my computer #(a very important function that i need to have for my job) #server had to be shut down for a bit so that they could work on the issue #so i went to lunch. nbd #until the fire alarm went off #and then once we got back inside and got the all clear. power went out! #idk if the fire alarm and power outage were related #current theory is something happened down the street w construction that caused a surge #triggering the fire alarm and power outage #idk how that works but I'll accept that theory #went home early bc. no power means no internet/remote server means no with #no work* #spent the rest of the afternoon stressed bc i felt like i Should Be Doing Something Work Related #bro got cut from the baseball team so that's a whole thing too #and now I'm here eating McDonald's #mine
