I know this is not a controversial take, but I fucking love cats so much

One of my cats has quite recently gotten into her head that (I guess since I praise her for catching a fly) I must want to learn to catch bugs myself or, better yet, I want to eat HER fly, so whenever she catches one, she just holds it gently between her teeth, and yells at me until I come see. At that point she puts the poor crunched-up thing at my feet (usually still alive), and refuses to stop yelling or let me leave until I PICK IT UP, say thank you, and mime eating it by tossing it behind my back. After that, apparently contented by having fed me, she demands cuddles, perfectly happy and unaware of how messed up this whole exchange is for both me and the fly.

Just look at this vicious predator. She's sitting there, waiting for me to "eat" a bug, while staring at me lovingly and with the patience and gentleness of a preschool teacher.

God I love her dumb little brain.
