Ending the week of #worldspaceweek by celebrating Dr. Yvonne Darlene Cagle. Dr. Cagle was a member of the Astronaut Class of 1996 (NASA Astronaut Group 16). She is currently assigned to Johnson Space Center's Space and Life Sciences Directorate. She is also an advisor for NASA's Flight Opportunities Program (originally named CRuSR – Commercial Reusable Suborbital Research Program). चैतन्य भारत न्यूज शुक्रवार को अंतरिक्ष में नासा की 2 महिला अंतरिक्ष यात्रियों ने उस समय इतिहास रच दिया जब वह पहली बार बिना किसी पुरुष अंतरिक्ष यात्री के स्पेसवॉक पर निकलीं। बता दें अंतरिक्ष के इतिहास में इससे पहले जब भी स्पेसवॉक करने के लिए कोई भी टीम अंतरिक्ष यान से बाहर निकलती थी तो उसमें हमेशा कोई न कोई पुरुष अंतरिक्ष यात्री जरूर मौजूद रहता था। लेकिन शुक्रवार को अंतरिक्ष यात्री क्रिस्टिना कोच और जेसिका मीर अकेले स्पेसवॉक करने वाली पहली महिला जोड़ी बन गई हैं। (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || ).push({}); टूटे हुए बैटरी चार्जर को बदलने निकलीं शुक्रवार को इस ऐतिहासिक वाकये को अंतरराष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष स्टेशन के बाहर उस समय अंजाम दिया गया, जब क्रिस्टीना और जेसिका टूटे हुए बैटरी चार्जर को बदलने के लिए स्पेस स्टेशन से बाहर निकलीं और उन्होंने अंतरिक्ष में चहलकदमी की। पहले यह स्पेसवॉक मार्च में होनी थी लेकिन अंतरिक्ष केंद्र में मध्यम आकार के स्पेससूट की कमी के चलते इसे रद्द कर दिया गया था। दरअसल नासा के पास अंतरिक्ष यात्रियों के लिए जो कपड़े थे, उनमें सिर्फ महिला-पुरुष जोड़ीदार की साइज वाले ही कपडे़ थे। Today, history was made as @Astro_Jessica and @Astro_Christina successfully completed the first #AllWomanSpacewalk!
